We are back, for another version of the Daily Dribble written by LineStarTyler.

The trials and tribulations of late season NBA is in full force right now. With a month left of the seasons the playoff race is shaping up and some teams are in tank mode while others are trying to get healthy for the playoffs. This time of the season always makes for some weird DFS and late scratches. Let's dive into today's slate.

Today's Slate

We have an 8 game slate with some very high totals. There are several teams with injury issues that will take a lot of our attention (MIL, TOR, NO, and LAC). Then we also have several teams that are on back-to-back games (POR, CLE, TOR, and DET). I do not give much weight to that but it's worthy to note.

We really need to pay attention to the news today. Lots of moving pieces and most of the questionable players truly seem to be questionable.

Tonight's Point Guard /Shooting Guard Notables

There are so many moving pieces today at the guard positions. Will Lowry or Holiday play? and do one or both of Garland/Sexton play? 

Malachi Flynn DK $5.4 k | FD $6 k

There are a lot of if's with this pick. I like him much more on DK than Fanduel. I also like him a lot more if lowry is out. However, I will be playing him either way. Flynn has average .91 FP points with Vanvleet/Anunoby out. It is a small sample size of about 140 minutes but I will go back to it even in a less than ideal matchup.

Jrue Holiday DK $8.2 k | FD $8.7 k

Khris Middleton DK $8 k | FD $7.8 k

If Giannis is out, which I expect him to be since he is doubtful then Holiday and Middleton are great picks. Ownership will likely be here too but these guys are both undervalued with Giannis out.  

D'Angelo Russell DK $6.5 k | FD $7.1k

His minutes are still being monitored but he played 29 minutes last game and has looked like he is himself again. MIN vs CHI is one of my favorite games today, so I will have a little Russell however it is risky due to minutes.  

Tonight's SF / PF Notables

Demar Derozan DK $7.8 k | FD $7.7k

Demar is in a good matchup vs DAL (averaged 52.5 fp vs DAL in 2020) and his usage has been off the charts this season. He is inconsistent but there aren't many guys in the 7k area who can give you 50 fantasy points.

Jimmy Butler DK $9 k | FD $9.1k

I love me some Jimmy Buckets this year. He has been playing unbelievably well all season long and in a matchup vs POR I don't see it stopping tonight. Butler has had more 60 point games than LeBron this season and is still priced fairly low for his output. 

Domantas Sabonis DK $8.7 k | FD $9.3k

Sabonis's salary is down and Myles Turner is out. Sabonis gets a +1.85% usage bump and a +6.16 fantasy point bump without turner on the court. This is almost one of my favorite games of the day. I will have a ton of Sabonis. 

Tonight's Center Position Notables

Isaiah Hartenstein DK $5.2 k | FD $5.6 k

Since joining the Cav's if he plays over 26 minutes he scores over 33 FP. With Nance and Allen still out I expect his minutes to continue to be there. He is a 1.11fp/min player on the season but has been 1.3/fp over the last 10 games. I wouldn't expect 50 again, but mid 30's will work at his price.

Brandon Clarke DK $4.4 k | FD $5.4 k

DK is drunk, 4.4k is way too cheap for a player that has 40 point upside. IND vs MEM is one of my favorite games and I love the upside so I will be here. He is also a great leverage spot off of Valanciunas who will likely be high-owned. 

Karl-Anthony Towns DK $10.8 k | FD $11 k

KAT is back to doing KAT things. He hasn't had a game under 50 FP for a couple of weeks now and has a match-up that Boucher just put 67 on. He is pricey but in one of the best games of the day, I wouldn't let it deter you. 

My Strategy

A lot can and will change with all the news today, however as it stands right now I expect to build a lot of balanced lineups with a core of Sabonis, Holiday or Middleton, and Derozan. My main lower-priced (under 5k) plays right now are Bembry, Clarke, Ariza, and Marcus Morris.
