LineStar® Daily Dribble - Does Porter Make it 3 Straight Perfect Lineups?

We are back, for another version of the Daily Dribble written by LineStarTyler.

Today's Slate

We have a 6 game main slate tonight. ORL, TOR, and HOU all have injury issues and we will want to pay attention to the starting lineups there. We also have a potential blowout game in HOU, with Boston being favored by 11.

By far my favorite games to target tonight happen to be the 2 highest totaled games. One thing to note about POR @ MIN is that this matchup also happened last night. Meaning they are on a back to back and I am sure there will be some adjustments made, so do not buy too much into yesterday's stats.

Tonight's Point Guard /Shooting Guard Notables

Trae Young DK $9.3 k | FD $9k

Trae's salary is way too cheap in a game where he can easily go for 60FP. He has also faired pretty well vs CLE in the past couple of years going for over 50fp in 3 of 4 contests.

Kevin Porter Jr. DK $5 k | FD $6 k

I like his price on DK much more than FD. He is coming off two 40 point FP games and was in the last 2 perfect lineups. With Gordon and Wall still out I think Porter takes over at SG and still plays 32-35 minutes. With Oladipo back he won't be as good from a Fantasy point-per-minute standpoint, but I think you can still get 30-40 fantasy points out of him today. Porter has been staying in the game in blowouts, so I am not scared of a blowout and actually want it if I'm playing porter because he and Oladipo will share the court less.

Ricky Rubio DK $5.7 k | FD $5.3k

Min is still without many of their guards forcing Rubio to play more minutes. Yesterday he played 33 minutes against Portland, while I do not expect that to happen again I still like him. If he plays over 30 minutes I think he is a good play. However, if you think Min takes it easy on Rubio tonight due to playing 33 minutes yesterday then you can pivot to Jaylen Nowell at a cheaper price.

Tonight's SF / PF Notables

Kawhi Leonard DK $9 k | FD $9.3 k

Leonard is in a great spot vs the pelicans. It is one of the highest-scoring games, and he put up 53 FP vs them last time they played.

Jimmy Butler DK $9.4 k | FD $10.3k

Butler is 100% deserving of his FD price, however, due to the price I like him a lot less there. He has been averaging 1.45fp/min going back to the bubble last season, and over the last 5 games, he's averaging 1.67fp/min. Without Bam on the court, he picks up even more usage. Play him with confidence on DK.

Deandre Bembry DK $4.4 k | FD $4.1k

Even with several teams having injury issues there isn't a ton of great value on the slate. Bembry is one of my favorite value plays today. He played 37 minutes two games ago and 26 in yesterday's blowout loss. With this game likely staying close I expect him to be back into the 30's. He isn't a really high fantasy point-per-minute player so we really do need those minutes. If he isn't in the starting lineup get off him.

KJ Martin DK $4.5 k | FD $3.5k

KJ is my favorite under 5k player, and on FD he is pretty much a lock at 3500. Like Porter, he will also probably benefit from a blowout. He has been producing just over 1 fantasy point per minute, and we can expect 26-33 minutes from him tonight.

Tonight's Center Position Notables

Karl Anthony-Towns DK $9.1 k | FD $9.1 k

In a terrific matchup which KAT took advantage of last night, we will go back to it. I don't like to buy into recency bias, but KAT is historically a 1.5fp/min player and at that rate, he is way underpriced right now.

Enes Kanter DK $6.9 k | FD $6.8 k

The Timberwolves have loved to give opposing centers fantasy points this season, so we will keep riding that train. I like KAT much more in the game but if you cant afford KAT, Kanter is a solid pivot.

My Strategy

Tonight I am going to have a ton of Porter jr and Martin, then fill out the rest of my lineups. I hate eating chalk but their upsides are too high for me to pass on. That is going to make me able to get 2 9k players in which will be a combination of Young, Leonard, Butler, and KAT. I am staying away from Lillard tonight as I think Young has a similar upside for 1k less. If you want to go more balanced I don't mind the plays of George and Zion but I will likely just pay up a little more.

One thing I am going to watch for is the starting lineup for TOR. Terrence Davis has barely been playing and I am not sure why. I would have expected him to get more run with all the TOR guys out, so if Davis sneaks back into the starting lineup I will likely have a decent amount of him.
