Today's Slate

We have a 6 game slate with all of the games having a total of over 224. It should be a wild NBA DFS night with lots of scoring. We have a few interesting value plays and a few studs in terrific spots. The big question tonight is do we go with a stud/dud approach or go more balanced?

Tonight's Point Guard /Shooting Guard Notables

Immanuel Quickley DK $4.1 k | FD $4.6k

Derrick Rose DK $4.7 k | FD $5.7k

I put both guys here together because I really do like both of them. Both of these guys have very high ceilings and vs SAC it's likely that one is in the perfect lineup tonight.

Lonzo Ball DK $6.3 k | FD $6.6k

I feel dirty for even putting him here but he has been playing really good basketball lately, has a good track record vs MIL(47fp 1/29), and has been playing a ton of minutes over the last two weeks.

Russell Westbrook DK $9.5 k | FD $9.2k

Westbrook's pricing is too low for a guy that can easily get you 60 fantasy points. Since he's been back to playing his full run of minutes he has not been under 50 fantasy points, I expect that to continue tonight with the chance of a ceiling game

Tonight's SF / PF Notables

Giannis Antetokounmpo DK $9.5 k | FD $9.2k

I will be rocking with the best fantasy basketball player in the NBA. He is playing 35 min and averaging 1.92fp/min over the last 5 and 1.80fp/min over the last 10, and he is in the highest total game of the night.

Tim Hardaway Jr DK $4.7 k | FD $4.8k

Josh Richardson DK $4.7 k | FD $4.7k

With Porzingis likely out again, someone other than Doncic has to score. Small Forward is pretty bad tonight so I find myself shuffling through the mid-lower priced guys.

Marvin Bagley DK $5.7 k | FD $6k

Bagley is much more productive when he gets a chance to play the 5. Tonight Whiteside is out which could give him a few more minutes in that role. His minutes have also been 29 and 30 minutes the last two games. At 1.04fp/min at 30 minutes, he has a high median outcome for his salary, add in the possibility of more minutes at center and I will be here.

Tonight's Center Position Notables

Joel Embiid DK $9.9 k | FD $10.4k

Embiid is unstoppable, and today he gets to go against Dal who can't stop a Center. Add in that Jokic Ownership looks super high, making Embiid go under-owned. I will take the ownership saving and go Embiid over the joker tonight.

Robin Lopez DK $3.7 k | FD $4.2k

Moritz Wagner DK $3.6 k | FD $4.9k

WAS will need a big man tonight vs Jokic. I like Lopez here more than Wagner but Wagner has the higher ceiling, while Lopez is the safe option. The game has a high total and there is a good chance for one of these two options to get more run than they normally would. It's worth a shot if you need a value play.

My Strategy

With Quickley and Rose the ownership game will be interesting tonight. We need to get different somewhere. I will have more Quickley than Rose and more Embiid than Jokic due to ownership, but that won't be enough. We will need to make some more pivots that is why I have mentioned guys like Westbrook and Ball today. Both of them look like they may be under 10% owned and we will need those plays tonight if we are using Rose/Quickley.

I will probably be jamming as many studs into my lineups again today. Likely will have 2 9k plus players in 75% of my lineups.
