NCAA Championship Game Betting Guide | North Carolina or Kansas?

I'm sure TV executives would have loved a Duke vs. Kansas National Championship Game with it being Mike Krzyzewski's final game win or lose - but North Carolina had other plans. The Tar Heels getting to this spot as a #8 seed doesn't make this any less of a game - in fact, it probably builds to the hype with UNC solidifying their tournament resume with wins over #1 Baylor, #4 UCLA, and #2 Duke in the past couple weekends.

Kansas looks pretty dang good too though, bringing a 10-game win streak into tonight's game most recently dominating #2 Villanova 81-65. This looks like a very good contest on paper, let's find some bets to make it even better.

🏀Top National Championship Player Props 🏀

LineStar has a new Player Prop tab that lets you search for the best individual props through apps such as DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, and PointsBet. Here are some of the best bets for tonight:

🏀Brady Manek, North Carolina (Over 2.5 three pointers) - Manek had 0 made threes at the half on Saturday against Duke, but ended up just getting over on a 3-6 night from beyond the arc. He was 4-8 from three against Baylor, 3-10 against UCLA, and 4-6 against Saint Peter's even in a 20-point blowout win. This dude will launch on the biggest platform.

🏀Jalen Wilson, Kansas (Over 8.5 rebounds) - He cashed easily on Saturday with 12 boards against a 7.5 rebound prop. That number has jumped up a bit, but he still has 12, 11, 11, and 14 boards in the last four games. There's a chance Armando Bacot is a bit banged up on the interior for UNC (ankle) so Wilson should hit double digits off the glass.

🏀Caleb Love, North Carolina (Over 18.5 points) - He should be good for 20 tonight, almost based solely on how much he's been launching lately with 24, 17, and 20 shots the last three games. 10 of Love's 20 shots against Duke came from beyond the arc.

🏀David McCormack, Kansas (Over 11.5 points) - Crazy low number considering McCormack is coming off 25 points against Villanova and 15 vs. Miami. UNC did a good job of getting Duke's Mark Williams and Theo John in foul trouble on Saturday, but you would think KU takes not of that - plus, Bacot's ankle injury could be a real thing.

NCAA National Championship Game Betting Pick

#8 North Carolina vs #1 Kansas (-4), O/U 151.5 9:20 PM ET

There's almost no place more synonymous with a hangover (besides Las Vegas) than New Orleans, and you would think that North Carolina has one of the most emotional headaches of all time after beating their rival Duke on Saturday to send Coach K into early retirement. The Tar Heels did a great job of dealing with the extracurriculars of that game - especially in coach Hubert Davis' first season - but another seasoned vet awaits in Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks.

North Carolina's run has been impressive - they beat the defending national champion Baylor, a Final 4 team from last year in UCLA, and Duke with all the motivation in the world in a rivalry game in Krzyzewski's final college game. Kansas has absolutely wiped the floor with a 2X National Champion in Jay Wright's Villanova team, and beat Miami 76-50 in the Elite 8 despite being down by 6 at the half. That was a Hurricanes team that has beaten Duke and North Carolina this season, and had also lost 6 of their last 7 games by 4 points or less.

It would be great to see North Carolina complete this miraculous run and if they do you have to give a "Derek Jeter nephew cap tip" - but this is Kansas' game to win - and possibly by a lot.

Pick: Kansas -4
