DFS Main Slate Rundown 📰

Eight games land on the Wednesday NBA schedule and, as a bit of a surprise, both DraftKings and FanDuel have elected to include every game, including the three 10 o’clock ET tip-offs, onto their respective main slates. The injury report is fairly packed today and the majority of today’s games have some legitimate blowout potential with six-of-eight games currently holding double-digit spreads. Every NBA team has between 13 and 15 games remaining on their regular season schedules, so these sorts of lengthy injury reports and huge spreads are probably going to be closer to the norm from here on out until we reach the playoffs. Just a reminder to tread softy on some/all of these late-season slates as things always get extra hectic around this time! Best of luck!

Also, before we dive into it, we have to give a shout-out to our guy Tyler (@LineStarTyler) for his $40k+ hit last night! Congrats, man! Be sure to check out his daily insights in the DFS/prop videos posted above!

Top Point Guards/Shooting Guards 🏀

PG Damian Lillard, MIL | DK: $9.1k, FD: $9k | @ BOS

The top two teams in the Eastern Conference standings face off tonight, with the Bucks visiting the Celtics. Boston essentially has the top seed locked up, as they currently hold a 10-game lead over Milwaukee. However, the Bucks are looking to stave off the Cavs (1 Game Back from MIL), Knicks (3 GB), and Magic (3.5 GB) and retain their status as the No. 2 seed. They’ll have to go at it tonight without the services of Giannis Antetokounmpo, who will miss this game with a hamstring injury. The Celtics (2nd in DEFRTG) represent a very tough match-up, and they’ve been nearly impossible to beat at home where they boast a 31-3 record this season. But, if the Bucks have any chance to pull off the upset as +10.5 point underdogs, Damian Lillard is going to have to have a huge night. Giannis also sat out the previous game against Phoenix, and Lillard stepped up with a vintage 31-point, 16-assist performance which led to a whopping 64.75 DKFP/60.0 FDFP. Lillard is averaging a points/assist double-double over his last five games (24.2 PPG/10.8 APG), and the ball is going to be in his possession a ton tonight. He’s had a pair of so-so games against the Celtics this season, but it’s worth noting that Giannis played in both of those contests. Lillard’s usage has jumped seven percentage points with the Greek Freak off the floor this season. Also, if we look at LineStar’s Team DEF tool, we’ll see that Boston has ranked 22nd versus point guards L5Games, so it may not be an awful individual match-up for Lillard. There are a slew of high-end guards to choose from today, so ownership will be spread out. I can’t say he’s the safest option, but Lillard could very well check in at <10% ownership, and he'll bring as much 60+ FP upside as any other player on the slate.

SG Gary Trent Jr., TOR | DK: $6.1k, FD: $6.3k | vs. SAC

Due to trades and injuries, there has been a lot of turnover in the Raptors’ lineup, and today will be no different. Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett join the list of key Raptors’ players ruled out tonight, alongside Scottie Barnes and Jakob Poeltl, who both may be out for the remainder of the season. So there is ample usage and minutes to go around. Gary Trent Jr. should take on a primary scoring role tonight and he’s been trending in the right direction to begin with. Over his last four games, Trent is averaging 24.8 PPG, 1.06 FPPM, and 37.4 DKFP/36.6 FDFP per game in 35.3 minutes/gm. He has led the team in minutes with Barnes, Quickley, Barrett, Poeltl, and Boucher (all out tonight) off the floor and has averaged +7.24 fantasy points per 32 minutes in that scenario. The Kings have ranked 25th versus shooting guards over their last 20 games and Trent will have a strong opportunity to return excellent value on his low DFS salaries tonight.

PG Keon Ellis, SAC | DK: $3.7k, FD: $4.8k | @ TOR (Preferred if starting)

There will be more value to be had in this game, this time on the Kings’ roster with Keon Ellis. Due to Kevin Huerter’s (shoulder/out) absence this evening, Ellis should be in line for a spot start. When Huerter exited Monday’s game after playing just two minutes, Ellis stepped in and ended up playing 34 minutes, while also starting the second half, and he procured 29.75 DKFP/33.9 FDFP. He did have five blocks in that game, which is not something we can rely upon, however, Ellis has shown some nice stocks (steals/blocks) upside when given quality minutes (3.3 STL+BLK/gm L5Starts). He has started in three games this month and has averaged 23.8 DKFP/26.7 FDFP in 24.3 minutes/gm in those starts. The Kings could choose to roll him out for 30+ minutes again tonight and he’s particularly enticing at his $3,700 DraftKings salary (and still firmly in play on FanDuel).

Other Guards to Consider

PG Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OKC | DK: $10.4k, FD: $11.1k | vs. UTA

PG De’Aaron Fox, SAC | DK: $9k, FD: $9.6k | @ TOR

PG Tyrese Maxey, PHI | DK: $8.8k, FD: $9.2k | @ PHX

PG/SG Desmond Bane, MEM | DK: $8.1k, FD: $8k | @ GSW

PG Cade Cunningham, DET | DK: $7.9k, FD: $8.5k | vs. IND

PG/SG Anfernee Simons, POR | DK: $7.6k, FD: $7.9k | vs. LAC (Currently Questionable)

PG/SG Caris LeVert, CLE | DK: $7.1k, FD: $7.8k | vs. MIA

SG/SF Malik Monk, SAC | DK: $6.3k, FD: $7.3k | @ TOR (DK Preferred)

PG Scoot Henderson, POR | DK: $5.4k, FD: $6k | vs. LAC (Boost if Simons is out)

PG/SG Josh Giddey, OKC | DK: $5.4k, FD: $6.4k | vs. UTA (DK Preferred)

PG TJ McConnell, IND | DK: $4.5k, FD: $5.7k | @ DET (DK Preferred)

SG Jahmi’us Ramsey, TOR | DK: $3.2k, FD: $3.8k | vs. SAC

Top Small Forwards/Power Forwards 🏀

PF Jalen Williams, OKC | DK: $6.9k, FD: $8.2k | vs. UTA (DK Preferred)

The forward spots feel like a bit of a conundrum today. There are some big names available at the SF/PF positions, but spending up on most/all of those guys doesn’t feel like a priority. Instead, we’ll dip closer to the mid-range and spotlight Jalen Williams. Admittedly, this is going to be a “DK Preferred” play due to a $1,300 price discrepancy, but he’s far from a bad play at his current FanDuel salary. Williams is supplying a sturdy 1.34 FPPM over his last five games and, in three of his last four healthy games (exited March 10th game after playing just 10 minutes), he has put up at least 46.25 DKFP/47.4 FDFP. The Thunder head into tonight with a slate-leading 124.0 implied team total and they’ll be facing a Jazz team that has rated out as the worst defense since March 1st (125.5 DEFRTG). It’s an excellent DvP match-up for Williams as well -- Utah ranks 28th versus starting power forwards L20Games and he has averaged 47.0 DKFP/47.7 FDFP in his last two meetings with the Jazz.

SF/PF Gregory “GG” Jackson, MEM | DK: $6k, FD: $6.3k | @ GSW

The Grizzlies are still dealing with an abundance of injuries but getting Desmond Bane back in the mix two games ago increases their ability to compete with more talented teams. While Bane stands out as a solid play on this slate, we’ll be looking at GG Jackson out of the forward mid-range. He has started in four of Memphis’ last five games and as a starter this season, he’s scoring 23.0 PPG on 17.4 FGA/gm with a solid 24.2% USG% across 38.0 minutes/gm. The rookie out of South Carolina has been streaky at times, but he has shown that he can get hot when receiving strong minutes. Jackson had a bit of a breakout game against the Warriors earlier this season when he supplied 23 points across 29 minutes (off of the bench) and put up 41.5 DKFP/42.2 FDFP. Desmond Bane’s recent return may take away some of GG Jackson’s usage moving forward, but if he’s going to continue to play 35+ minutes, he’ll bring some 6x upside to the table at his current price points.

SF/SG Stanley Umude, DET | DK: $3.9k, FD: $4k | vs. IND (Preferred if starting again)

The Pistons are one of the many teams that have several key players sidelined at this point in the season. As a result, Stanley Umude earned his first career NBA start in Monday’s game against the Celtics. The offensive output wasn’t there as he accrued just ten points on 3-of-7 shooting -- but the important note is that he played 34 minutes and Detroit will draw a more favorable Pacers opponent tonight. In limited action across 23 games this season, Umude is averaging a commendable 0.84 FPPM, so if he’s out there for 30+ minutes again tonight, he’s likely going to put up better numbers than he did on Monday when he averaged just 0.56 FPPM.

Other Forwards to Consider

SF/PF Jayson Tatum, BOS | DK: $9.9k, FD: $9.9k | vs. MIL (Preferred if J. Brown and/or J. Holiday are out)

SF/SG Paul George, LAC | DK: $8.4k, FD: $8.6k | @ POR

PF/C Jaren Jackson Jr., MEM | DK: $8.2k, FD: $8.7k | @ GSW

SF/PF Pascal Siakam, IND | DK: $7.7k, FD: $8.2k | @ DET

PF/C Kelly Olynyk, TOR | DK: $6.5k, FD: $6.9k | vs. SAC

SF Khris Middleton, MIL | DK: $6.2k, FD: $6.9k | @ BOS

PF/C Bobby Portis, MIL | DK: $6k, FD: $7.1k | @ BOS

SF/PG Bruce Brown, TOR | DK: $5.6k, FD: $5.3k | vs. SAC

PF Keegan Murray, SAC | DK: $5.5k, FD: $6.7k | @ TOR (DK Preferred)

SF/PF Jaime Jaquez Jr., MIA | DK: $5.5k, FD: $5.6k | @ CLE (Boost if Adebayo and/or Butler are out)

SF/SG Aaron Nesmith, IND | DK: $5k, FD: $5.5k | @ DET

SF/SG Gradey Dick, TOR | DK: $4.7k, FD: $4.4k | vs. SAC

SF Jake LaRavia, MEM | DK: $4.6k, FD: $5.5k | @ GSW

SF/SG John Konchar, MEM | DK: $4.5k, FD: $5.5k | @ GSW

PF/C Jalen Smith, IND | DK: $3.9k, FD: $4.8k | @ DET (DK Preferred)

PF Jordan Nwora, TOR | DK: $3.8k, FD: $4.6k | vs. SAC

SF/PF Jae Crowder, MIL | DK: $3.3k, FD: $4.1k | @ BOS

Top Centers to Consider 🏀

C Domantas Sabonis, SAC | DK: $10.7k, FD: $10.9k | @ TOR

There’s plenty of value to go around on this slate so getting a high floor stud like Domantas Sabonis into your player pool won’t be much of an issue. Over his last 20 games, Sabonis is flirting with averaging a triple-double with 20.5 PPG, 15.2 RPG, and 9.1 APG to go along with 1.9 STL+BLK/gm and 1.57 FPPM. He’s not someone to be overly worried about when it comes to a potential blowout tonight (SAC: -11). In eight “big favorite” games, Sabonis has averaged 62.9 DKFP/58.8 FDFP. The Raptors are also getting torched by opposing centers -- they have given up a whopping 1.63 FPPM to centers over their last five games, which is easily the worst mark in the NBA.

C Jontay Porter, TOR | DK: $4k, FD: $4.7k | vs. SAC

I don’t mean to place so much focus on this game but there are simply too many appealing options to ignore even in a fairly lopsided match-up. Porter is going to set up as a go-to value option at center given his recent involvement off of the Raptors’ bench. Across the previous four games, Porter is averaging 23.0 minutes/gm and 1.15 FPPM. The Raptors will need big bodies to help contend with Sabonis on the other side so Porter should continue to play mid-20s minutes.

Other Centers to Consider

C Deandre Ayton, POR | DK: $8.2k, FD: $8.3k | vs. LAC

C Chet Holmgren, OKC | DK: $7.2k, FD: $8k | vs. UTA

C Myles Turner, IND | DK: $6.6k, FD: $6.9k | @ DET

C Trayce Jackson-Davis, GSW | DK: $4.9k, FD: $6.2k | vs. MEM (DK Preferred)

C Thomas Bryant, MIA | DK: $4k, FD: $4.2k | @ CLE (Only if B. Adebayo is out)
