DFS Main Slate Rundown 📰
With every NBA team getting the day off for Thanksgiving tomorrow, 28 teams are hitting the hardwood this evening. FanDuel will feature the full menu with a mammoth 14-game main slate. DraftKings will be excluding the three latest tipoffs, but the main slate there is no small fry either with 11 games on the board. As you would assume with this many teams in play, it’s going to be a hectic day for injury news and starting lineup shake-ups, so if you’re going to be busy getting things ready for Turkey Day this evening, consider either taking the night off from NBA DFS or going low on the bankroll expenditure! There are just a huge amount of moving parts today. Let’s try to crack the code on this behemoth. Best of luck & I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀
PG James Harden, LAC | DK: $9k, FD: $9.2k | at WAS
Harden hasn’t consistently churned out those 50+ FP performances that we largely expected to see out of him while Kawhi Leonard remains out, but this is a prime spot for him to hit for one of his bigger games of the season. As usual, the Wizards play fast (4th in pace), are poor defensively (dead last in DEFRTG), and they’ve rated out at 25th versus starting PGs L20Games. Norman Powell (hamstring/questionable) is also in danger of missing his fifth game in a row -- Harden has handled a +7.15% boost to his usage rate with Powell off the floor this season. The Clippers are also being pinned with a 117.3 implied team total, which is one of the higher team totals on this slate. If they hit or exceed that mark, it’d be a sizable increase over their 108.7 PPG average this season (ranks 25th).
SG/SF Brandon Miller, CHA | DK: $7.4k, FD: $7.8k | vs. MIA
The Hornets’ offense has essentially been a two-man show as of late. Predictably, LaMelo Ball (DK: $10.3k, FD: $10.4k) has led the way but Brandon Miller has been handling plenty of usage even in games that Ball has taken over. Miller has posted a usage rate over 30% with Miles Bridges, Tre Mann, and Grant Williams (all out tonight) off the floor this season and that has helped him average a whopping 51.3 DKFP per game over his last four starts. He has also played over 40 Min/gm during that stretch. The match-up is fairly neutral but Miami is on the back end of a B2B and has ranked a middling 17th versus SG starters L20Games. A strong case could be made for Miller to be over $8k at this point, so he’ll be a prime target out of the mid-range.
PG/SG Malik Monk, SAC | DK: $5.4k, FD: $5.1k | at MIN
Monk returned from a seven-game absence (ankle) on Monday and it was encouraging to see him immediately handle his normal run off of the bench with 26 minutes of court time. If you’ve played NBA DFS the last couple of seasons, you’ll know that Monk is one of the better “6th men” in the NBA and, though he is never guaranteed starter’s minutes, he can erupt for a huge game at any point. He could be in line for a heavier workload than usual with both DeMar DeRozan and Trey Lyles out tonight. In 34 minutes played with those two players off the floor, Monk has handled a +7.7% USG% boost and has averaged +10.7 more PPG per 32 minutes. The Timberwolves are still perceived by many as an elite defense but they’re merely an above-average 12th in DEFRTG up to this point. Minnesota has also ranked 25th versus reserves/bench players L20Games and they’re on the second leg of a B2B following last night’s game versus the Rockets, which went into overtime. If Monk can get closer to 30-32 minutes tonight, he could return major value.

Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀
SF/PF Franz Wagner, ORL | DK: $9.7k, FD: $9.7k | vs. CHI
In the 14 games since Paolo Banchero went down with an oblique injury, Franz Wagner has led the team with an elite 32.1% USG%. Wagner has also been a primary facilitator, averaging 8.0 APG L5Games and he’s up to 1.50 FPPM over his last six. He’s usually good for 5-10 rebounds per game and he has been racking up plenty of steals/blocks lately as well. And, of course, we have to love the match-up versus a Bulls team that is 1st in pace, 25th in DEFRTG, and has ranked 23rd versus SF starters (via LineStar Team DEF tool). The Magic also have a lofty 117.5 implied team total this evening, which is a considerable increase over their 27th-ranked 106.4 PPG average on the season.
SF Deni Avdija, POR | DK: $5.5k, FD: $5.8k | at IND
Avdija should make his way back into the starting lineup with Jerami Grant (knee/doubtful) likely missing his first game of the season tonight. The Trailblazers are thin in the frontcourt in general with Deandre Ayton questionable and both Robert Williams and Donovan Clingan already ruled out. Even if we assume Ayton plays, Avdija has averaged +7.5 FP per 32 minutes with Grant, Williams, and Clingan off the court this season… and that number only rises if Ayton remains out. While the Trailblazers are sizable +10.5 underdogs, Avdija draws an excellent individual match-up as the Pacers check in at dead last L20Games versus PF starters.
SF/PF Tidjane Salaun, CHA | DK: $3.5k, FD: $3.7k | vs. MIA
Salaun didn’t exactly come through for us as a value play on Monday as he mustered just 10.25 DKFP/8.90 FDFP, however, he did play for 30 minutes as a starter. Salaun has averaged a lackluster 0.65 FPPM this season, but if you extrapolate that across 30 minutes, that means he should end up with around 20 FP if he draws a similar minutes workload tonight. His best attribute is being a quality rebounder but if he can pour in a few points while maybe mixing in a block/steal or two, then he could certainly return 6x-ish value tonight. Miami is another team on the second leg of a B2B and they’ve ranked 23rd versus PF starters L20Games.
Other Forwards to Consider
PF Jalen Johnson, ATL at CLE
PF Jaren Jackson Jr., MEM vs. DET
PF/C Evan Mobley, CLE vs. ATL
SF/PF Josh Hart, NYK at DAL
PF PJ Washington, DAL vs. NYK
PF Santi Aldama, MEM vs. DET

PF/C Moussa Diabate, CHA vs. MIA
SF/SG Julian Champagnie, SAS vs. LAL
PF/C Jabari Smith Jr., HOU at PHI
SF/PF Harrison Barnes, SAS vs. LAL
PF/C Brandon Clarke, MEM vs. DET
PF/C Jabari Walker, POR at IND

SF/PF Jalen Williams, OKC at GSW
PF/C John Collins, UTA vs. DEN
SF/PF Andrew Wiggins, GSW vs. OKC
SF Ziaire Williams, BKN at PHX
Centers to Consider 🏀
C Jarrett Allen, CLE | DK: $7.4k, FD: $7.9k | vs. ATL
Allen has been on a roll, averaging 18.8 PPG, 12.0 RPG, 2.2 APG, 2.2 STL+BLK/gm, and 1.42 FPPM over his last five games. His only dud in that span came on the road against the Celtics, a top-10 defensive team that has allowed the 4th fewest points in the paint per game. Allen has averaged +26% more FPPG in pace-up games, and this one certainly qualifies. The Hawks are 2nd in the NBA in pace and also check in with a subpar 22nd DEFRTG. Atlanta has also ranked 21st versus starting centers and is allowing the 6th most opponent blocks per game. Allen has also averaged +14.6 more FPPG at home this season and the Cavs lead the entire slate with a 125.8 implied team total. So, all-in-all, there are just a ton of factors working in his favor today making him an appealing option out of the $7k range.
C Ivica Zubac, LAC | DK: $7k, FD: $7.4k | at WAS
Per-minute production has never been a major problem for Zubac but he is finally handling consistently strong minutes with a career-high 33.0 Min/gm this season. He is up to a stout 1.28 FPPM L5Games and has routinely been churning out 40+ FP performances throughout the season. Zubac is a double-double machine who should thrive in this match-up versus the Wizards who have ranked 29th versus starting centers and have allowed the 7th most points in the paint per game, are 28th in rebounding%, and have allowed the 9th most opponent blocks per game. At this point, I’m surprised he’s not an $8k center so we’ll certainly keep him on the DFS radar at his current price points.
Other Centers to Consider
C Victor Wembanyama, SAS vs. LAL
C Anthony Davis, LAL at SAS
C Karl-Anthony Towns, NYK at DAL
C Alperen Sengun, HOU at PHI
C Clint Capela, ATL at CLE
C Moritz Wagner, ORL vs. CHI
C Duop Reath, POR at IND (Only if Ayton is out + Reath starts)
FanDuel Main Slate Only
C Nikola Jokic, DEN at UTA
C Isaiah Hartenstein, OKC at GSW
C Walker Kessler, UTA vs. DEN
