DFS Main Slate Rundown 📰

We’ll be set up with a six-game Tuesday slate this evening! Only three days remain until the NBA All-Star Break arrives on Friday so enjoy the action before the six-day hiatus rolls around! This evening’s slate is not riddled with too many injuries so finding value may be a tad trickier than usual. We’ll see if we can locate the correct pieces to the puzzle nonetheless! Best of luck!

Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀

 PG D’Angelo Russell, LAL | DK: $7.3k, FD: $7.9k | vs. DET

It doesn’t feel overly vital to force in a high-priced guard on this slate so, in turn, I won’t force one into the spotlight. Instead, we’ll begin with D-Lo who lands in a quality spot against a porous Pistons’ defense (DET: 29th in DEFRTG). The Lakers own a slate-leading 126.0 implied team total and the last time these two squads faced off, Russell erupted for 60.5 DKFP/59.3 FDFP in 34 minutes despite the L.A. cruising to a 26-point blowout win. Russell can be a volatile DFS option but he has poured in at least 42.0 DKFP/39.0 FDFP in seven of his last ten games so he has found a bit more consistency as of late. He’s also shooting a red-hot 45.3% 3P%, and 49.9% FG% overall, at home this season, compared to 37.3% 3P% and 43.1% FG% on the road. So, with the Lakers at home tonight, that will just be another positive check in favor of Russell and his DFS viability tonight.

PG/SG Tyler Herro, MIA | DK: $6.9k, FD: $7.8k | @ MIL

As noted in the intro, injuries are not rampant on this slate but Miami is one team that is down multiple key contributors -- Jimmy Butler, Terry Rozier, and Josh Richardson will all miss tonight’s contest. With those three players off the floor, Herro has averaged a commendable, albeit unspectacular, 1.09 FPPM. But the real appeal stems from Herro potentially pushing close to 40 minutes tonight, as long as a blowout does not come into play. The Bucks are on the second leg of a back-to-back so I do like the Heat’s chances of keeping this game close despite being eight-point road underdogs. Herro will have to play a major role and big minutes if they’re going to come away with the win.

PG/SG Malik Monk, SAC | DK: $5.8k, FD: $6.9k | @ PHX

After getting past a bit of a lull, Monk has been firing on all cylinders and continues to make a strong case for this season’s “Sixth Man of the Year” award. Monk has put up 22+ real points in five of his last six games and he’s posted at least 40.25 DKFP/37.3 FDFP in four games during that stretch. We never know whether Monk is going to be out there for 20 minutes or mid-30s minutes, but this match-up does own a slate-leading 245 over/under with the Kings being five-point road underdogs, so Monk’s spark off of the bench will certainly come in handy this evening. The Suns also rank 19th against reserve units L20Games so we’ll look for Monk to make the most of however many minutes he receives tonight.

Other Guards to Consider

PG Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OKC | DK: $10.3k, FD: $11.6k | @ ORL (DK Preferred)

SG/SF Anthony Edwards, MIN | DK: $8.5k, FD: $9.1k | @ POR

PG De’Aaron Fox, SAC | DK: $8k, FD: $8.8k | @ PHX

PG/SG Bradley Beal, PHX | DK: $7.3k, FD: $7.8k | vs. SAC

PG/SG Jaden Ivey, DET | DK: $6.7k, FD: $7.4k | @ LAL

PG Jrue Holiday, BOS | DK: $6.2k, FD: $7.2k | @ BKN

PG Mike Conley, MIN | DK: $5k, FD: $5.7k | @ POR

PG/SG Dennis Schroder, BKN | DK: $4.8k, FD: $6.6k | vs. BOS (DK Preferred)

SG/SF Duncan Robinson, MIA | DK: $4.2k, FD: $5k | @ MIL (Preferred if starting - Currently questionable)

PG Monte Morris, MIN | DK: $3k, FD: $4.1k | @ POR (DK Preferred Punt Play)

Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀

SF/PF Jayson Tatum, BOS | DK: $9.5k, FD: $10.2k | @ BKN

Small forward and power forward are stacked with plenty of great options on this six-game slate but we’ll lead off with Jayson Tatum, who heads into tonight’s game in excellent form. Tatum is up to 1.50 FPPM across his last 10 games and he has posted at least 56.25 DKFP/55.1 FDFP in five of his last seven. This match-up with the Nets will not possess an overly attractive DFS environment but it’s hard to argue against the high floor/high ceiling that Tatum can provide this evening. If Kristaps Porzingis (back/questionable) happens to be ruled out, that could only stand to boost Tatum’s DFS upside -- he has seen a +3.22 percentage points increase in his usage rate with Porzingis off the floor this season.

SF Franz Wagner, ORL | DK: $7.1k, FD: $8.2k | vs. OKC

Wagner has been balling out over the last week-and-a-half and has poured in 34+ points and at least 48.75 DKFP/46.1 FDFP in three of his last four games. This Thunder/Magic match-up is the one I’m perhaps most looking forward to this evening and it’s getting well-deserved nationally televised treatment on TNT. It’s no surprise that this game owns the closest spread of the evening (ORL: +2.5) and, even if Wagner cools off a bit, he’s still likely to provide an excellent DFS floor out of the mid-range.

PF/C Jonathan Isaac, ORL | DK: $3.4k, FD: $4.7k | vs. OKC

This will be a “DraftKings Preferred” play as Isaac is still just too cheap at only $3,400. His career has been plagued by some devastating injuries but, when he’s on the floor, he produces at a high level. He is averaging 1.10 FPPM this season and, most recently, he logged a season-high 25 minutes on Saturday against the Bulls which resulted in 30.5 DKFP. That game did go to overtime, but it was nice to see that the Orlando coaching staff felt comfortable enough to give him a few extra minutes than usual. Isaac will still play limited minutes off of the Magic bench and he’s not a threat to necessarily break open a slate. But he does have some quality 6x upside at that low DraftKings price tag.

Other Forwards to Consider

PF/C Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL | DK: $11.7k, FD: $11.8k | vs. MIA

PF Kevin Durant, PHX | DK: $9.8k, FD: $10k | vs. SAC

PF Paolo Banchero, ORL | DK: $8.2k, FD: $8.6k | vs. OKC

PF Jalen Williams, OKC | DK: $7k, FD: $7.9k | @ ORL

PF/C Al Horford, BOS | DK: $5.2k, FD: $5.7k | @ BKN (Preferred if K. Porzingis is out)

SF/SG Grayson Allen, PHX | DK: $5.1k, FD: $5.8k | vs. SAC

SF/PF Ausar Thompson, DET | DK: $4.9k, FD: $5.9k | @ LAL

SF/PF Simone Fontecchio, DET | DK: $4.7k, FD: $5.6k | @ LAL

SF/PF Jaime Jaquez Jr., MIA | DK: $4.5k, FD: $5.9k | @ MIL (DK Preferred)

PF/C Naz Reid, MIN | DK: $4.2k, FD: $5.8k | @ POR (DK Preferred)

SF/PF Kyle Anderson, MIN | DK: $3.4k, FD: $5.2k | @ POR (DK Preferred)

Centers to Consider 🏀

C Domantas Sabonis, SAC | DK: $10k, FD: $10.7k | @ PHX

It’s tough to overlook Sabonis on this slate as he just continues to provide an excellent floor and a strong ceiling, and he is a constant triple-double threat. Over his last five games, Sabonis is averaging 18.6 PPG, 14.6 RPG, and 11.2 APG. His usage rate is far from elite, but he’s just such a dominant rebounder and facilitator, that he can often offset the lack of pure scoring. In my mind, he should be in the $11k range by now so we’ll happily take him at his current price points. And, as mentioned earlier, this game should feature plenty of scoring (245 over/under) and provide a competitive atmosphere (SAC: +5).

C Rudy Gobert, MIN | DK: $7.2k, FD: $8.1k | @ POR

I continue to love Gobert’s $7.2k price point on DraftKings, and he is firmly in play at $8.1k on FanDuel as well. Gobert has posted a double-double in nine of his last 11 starts and he’s just a very consistent DFS asset. But, most of all, the match-up that Gobert has in front of him tonight is what I find most appealing. The Trailblazers have ranked dead last versus opposing centers L20Games. It’s easy to see why Portland struggles against opposing centers -- they allow the 4th most points in the paint per game, they’re 23rd in rebounding%, and they give up an NBA-high 7.5 blocks/gm to their opponents. Gobert is one of the best shot blockers in the league so he should rack up multiple blocks in this match-up. When these teams met a month ago, Gobert emerged with a 24-point, 17-rebound double-double, along with two blocks, across just 28 minutes -- a performance that netted him 50.25 DKFP/49.4 FDFP. I believe a similar DFS score is in the cards for Gobert tonight.

Other Centers to Consider

C Anthony Davis, LAL | DK: $10.1k, FD: $11.3k | vs. DET (Currently questionable)

C Bam Adebayo, MIA | DK: $8.3k, FD: $9k | @ MIL

C Chet Holmgren, OKC | DK: $7.4k, FD: $8.3k | @ ORL

C Jalen Duren, DET | DK: $7.1k, FD: $7.8k | @ LAL

C Nic Claxton, BKN | DK: $6.9k, FD: $7.7k | vs. BOS

C Kevin Love, MIA | DK: $3.6k, FD: $4.7k | @ MIL (DK Preferred)
