DFS Main Slate Rundown 📰
Seven games hit the board this Wednesday evening! There will be five games with at least a 231 over/under but, unfortunately, we may end up seeing a few blowouts tonight as well since there are several uneven match-ups on the schedule. Injury-wise, I’d say there are about five or six key players with “questionable” designations that we’ll have to keep an eye on. The slate is constructed a bit unusually with five games in the 7 o’clock ET window and the remaining two games in the late 10 o’clock ET window. Hopefully, we’ll have all of the news for the first five games before the slate gets underway, but keep an ear out for info regarding those two late games. Alright, let’s see if we can crack the code today! Best of luck!

Main Slate Match-Ups w/ Game Totals & Point Spreads
Top DraftKings & FanDuel DFS Plays
Note: NBA position designations are never going to perfectly align between the major DFS sites. For the purposes of these newsletters, positional designations will default to DraftKings.
Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀
PG De’Aaron Fox, SAC | DK: $8.1k, FD: $9.2k | vs. DET
Fox’s production and fantasy scores have resembled a roller coaster, with plenty of ups and downs lately, but he has reached a season-low price point on DraftKings and, given his upside, he’s firmly in play on FanDuel as well. The Kings will be playing their first game at home since January 22nd and Fox’s best games tend to come in front of the home crowd. Detroit (7th in pace) provides a moderate pace boost for Sacramento (11th in pace) and the Pistons also rank 29th in DEFRTG. The Kings’ 127.8 implied point total ranks second on the slate and, while there is realistic blowout potential here (SAC: -13.5), Fox would likely be a core reason why the Kings pull away in this one.
PG/SG Terry Rozier, MIA | DK: $6k, FD: $7k | vs. SAS
There may be more appealing mid-range guard options once we get additional injury news later in the day, but for now, Rozier sets up as a solid all-around choice. He’s settled into a bit of a groove with his new team and, over the previous five games, he’s averaging a respectable 33.8 DKFP/33.7 FDFP. Rozier has contributed at least 15 points in four of those last five games and he’s averaging solid peripherals -- 6.0 APG, 5.6 RPG, and 1.4 STL+BLK/gm. The Spurs are allowing 120.9 opponent PPG and rank 24th in DEFRTG so Miami will be in a great spot to put up plenty of points tonight.
SG Jaden Springer, PHI | DK: $3.5k, FD: $4.7k | vs. GSW
One of the key injuries to track today will involve Tyrese Maxey, who is questionable to play due to an illness. While Patrick Beverley would pick up the start, in all likelihood, if Maxey is ruled out, Springer could also see some additional run. Springer has the second most minutes played with Maxey, Embiid, and Melton off the floor this season. Springer could also be a viable punt play even if Maxey is able to suit up. He has played at least 21 minutes in three of the last four games and put up at least 23.25 DKFP/23.5 FDFP in those three games (and Maxey was out for only one of those games). There is a huge chunk of usage left behind by Joel Embiid and, with Embiid set to be out for an extended period, Springer may be a player that the 76ers will depend on more for the foreseeable future.
Other Guards to Consider
PG/SG Donovan Mitchell, CLE | DK: $9.9k, FD: $10.4k | @ WAS
PG Trae Young, ATL | DK: $9.1k, FD: $9.8k | @ BOS (Preferred if D. Murray is out)
PG James Harden, LAC | DK: $9k, FD: $8.9k | vs. NOP
PG Immanuel Quickley, TOR | DK: $7k, FD: $7.4k | @ CHA
PG/SG Devin Vassell, SAS | DK: $6.7k, FD: $7.1k | @ MIA
SG/SF Kelly Oubre Jr., PHI | DK: $6.3k, FD: $6.9k | vs. GSW (Boost if T. Maxey is out)
PG/SG Caris LeVert, CLE | DK: $5.8k, FD: $6.2k | @ WAS
PG Tre Jones, SAS | DK: $5.7k, FD: $6.2k | @ MIA
PG/SG Malik Monk, SAC | DK: $5.4k, FD: $6k | vs. DET
SG Kevin Hurter, SAC | DK: $5k, FD: $5.7k | vs. DET
PG Josh Richardson, MIA | DK: $4.1k, FD: $4.9k | vs. SAS
PG/SF Lester Quinones, GSW | DK: $3.2k, FD: $4.2k | @ PHI
Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀
SF/PF Jayson Tatum, BOS | DK: $9.6k, FD: $10.2k | vs. ATL
It’s not usually the case but SF & PF feel like the strongest positions on this slate. I’m most interested in the mid-range guys, but Jayson Tatum sets up as a strong play as well. He has secured at least 56.25 DKFP/55.1 FDFP in three of his last four games. Tonight’s match-up between the Celtics and Hawks owns a slate-high 244.5 over/under and the Celtics lead all teams today with a 128.5 implied team total. The Hawks have ranked 20th versus starting PFs L20Games and Tatum posted a 34/9/4 stat line with two steals when he faced Atlanta earlier this season. Atlanta (4th in pace) also provides a major pace boost for Boston (18th in pace) and they check in at 27th in DEFRTG. Vegas is pinning this game as a potential blowout (BOS: -12.5), but I like Atlanta’s chances of keeping things fairly close for the better part of four quarters. Regardless, while he hasn’t been ultra-consistent lately, Tatum sets up as a strong spend-up this evening.
PF/C Evan Mobley, CLE | DK: $7.1k, FD: $8k | @ WAS
Mobley appears to have shaken off the rust following a recent 22-game absence due to a knee injury. Despite playing just 28 and 24 minutes in his last two games, Mobley has responded with fantasy scores of 46.5 DKFP/47.3 FDFP (vs. SAC) and 48.0 DKFP/44.5 FDFP (@ SAS). Mobley was also tracking for 30+ minutes in the previous game but it turned into a 136-110 blowout victory over the Cavs. So, there’s a good chance we’ll see Mobley play 30+ minutes tonight for the first time since making his return and the match-up cannot get much better. The Wizards continue to lead the NBA in pace while ranking 28th in DEFRTG. The Wizards also allow the second most points in the paint per game and rank dead last in rebounding%.
PF/C Trey Lyles, SAC | DK: $3.2k, FD: $4.4k | vs. DET
Pending further news, this slate is limited on intriguing punt plays but I believe you could do much worse than Trey Lyles on DraftKings where he is just $200 above the stone minimum price. Lyles is playing 20.2 Min/gm L5Games and is averaging just under an FPPM in that span. There’s a decent chance Lyles could pick up a few extra minutes in the event of a blowout as well. $4,400 on FanDuel may be too steep of a price to pay for a reserve role player like Lyles, but there’s some decent 6x (or better) upside for him on DraftKings tonight.
Other Forwards to Consider
SF/PF Kawhi Leonard, LAC | DK: $8.9k, FD: $9.5k | vs. NOP
PF/C Victor Wembanyama, SAS | DK: $8.8k, FD: $10.3k | @ MIA (DK Preferred)
SF/SG Brandon Ingram, NOP | DK: $7.9k, FD: $8.2k | @ LAC (Boost if Z. Williamson is out)
SF/PF Tobias Harris, PHI | DK: $7.7k, FD: $8.3k | vs. GSW
SF Jimmy Butler, MIA | DK: $7.6k, FD: $8.4k | vs. SAS
SF Brandon Miller, CHA | DK: $7.2k, FD: $7.7k | vs. TOR
SF/PF Jonathan Kuminga, GSW | DK: $7.2k, FD: $7.6k | @ PHI
PF/C PJ Washington, CHA | DK: $5.7k, FD: $6.7k | vs. TOR
SF/PF Caleb Martin, MIA | DK: $3.8k, FD: $4.6k | vs. SAS
Centers to Consider 🏀
C Domantas Sabonis, SAC | DK: $10.1k, FD: $10.5k | vs. DET
There aren’t many must-have superstar players on this slate so spending up on Domantas Sabonis should be a worthwhile approach today. Sabonis is averaging a triple-double over his previous five games (18.0 PPG, 17.4 RPG, 10.0 APG) and is up to 1.59 FPPM in that span. He exploded for a monster 37/10/13 stat line with three steals (77.5 DKFP/72.5 FDFP) when the Kings played the Pistons about a month ago, so he certainly brings some slate-breaking potential to DFS lineups tonight along with an excellent floor. That last game came in a 131-110 blowout win so, even if the Kings boat-race the Pistons again tonight, Sabonis will have been a major reason for the lopsided final score.
C Jakob Poeltl, TOR | DK: $5.9k, FD: $6.1k | @ CHA
It’s going to make him a popular play tonight, but Poeltl carries some very appealing DFS salaries on both sites tonight. He recently missed 11 games due to an ankle injury, but he got up to 33 minutes in his second game back on Sunday and logged 28 minutes in Monday’s game. Poeltl was trending toward another 30+ minutes but was held back later in the game as the Raptors went on to lose to the Pelicans by 38 points. The Raptors will now land in a quality bounce-back spot against the Hornets, who boast the NBA’s worst defense. Charlotte also allows the 6th most points in the paint per game, they’re 27th in rebounding%, and they rank 22nd versus starting centers L20Games. This is clearly a plus match-up for Poeltl even though he has under-performed in two previous meetings with the Hornets this season.
Other Centers to Consider
C Bam Adebayo, MIA | DK: $8k, FD: $8.4k | vs. SAS
C Jalen Duren, DET | DK: $6.9k, FD: $7.1k | @ SAC
PF/C Onyeka Okongwu, ATL | DK: $5.7k, FD: $7k | @ BOS (DK Preferred)
C Nick Richards, CHA | DK: $5.5k, FD: $6.2k | vs. TOR
C Kevin Love, MIA | DK: $3.4k, FD: $4.7k | vs. SAS (DK Preferred)
PrizePicks NBA Power Play of the Day ⚡
Here is a two-pick “Power Play” I’m liking for today's NBA action over on PrizePicks! Nothing is ever a guarantee to hit but I put my own money on these bets so I don't just lightly throw these out there without believing they'll cash! If it hits, it will return 3x the wager.
Note: I’m unable to submit any slips on PrizePicks right now, for some reason, but these are the two props I’m liking for a two-pick power play.
Jakob Poeltl MORE than 20.5 Points + Rebounds
Evan Mobley MORE than 32.5 Fantasy Score
