DFS Main Slate Rundown 📰

An intriguing Tuesday main slate rolls around with eight games on the board. Unlike yesterday, both DraftKings and FanDuel slates will align with the same game selection, and both main slates will be excluding the nightcap game between the Suns and Nuggets. Injuries are in heavy supply today, and many of the top players on the slate are listed as either “out” or “questionable.” So, we’ll have plenty of value to choose from but a bit of a short supply of studs to spend up on. By 2024 standards, this slate features a ton of low total games, with only one match-up boasting an over/under above 228.5 points. This will be an interesting and challenging night of NBA DFS action so let’s see if we can solve the puzzle today! Best of luck!

Main Slate Match-Ups w/ Game Totals & Point Spreads

Top DraftKings & FanDuel DFS Plays

Note: NBA position designations are never going to perfectly align between the major DFS sites. For the purposes of these newsletters, positional designations will default to DraftKings.

Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀

PG Luka Doncic, DAL | DK: $12.2k, FD: $12.7k | vs. IND (Currently questionable)

The Luka Doncic (ankle/questionable) injury news will loom large today. This is the latest game of the slate with an 8:30 ET start time so, if Luka is in your lineups, you’ll have to have a late swap plan in place if his availability isn’t announced until after 8 o’clock, when all remaining games will be underway. This ankle issue has been something that Doncic has been dealing with since last Wednesday, and he has played in both games since then so he’s probably on the favorable side of that “questionable” tag. He’s been cooking more than usual lately, averaging a whopping 1.99 FPPM over his last four games while scoring at least 71.75 DKFP/62.2 FDFP in each game during that span. As mentioned in the intro, this slate features a slew of low total games, but this match-up is the lone exception with a massive 247 over/under and a competitive spread (DAL: -4.5). The Pacers have ranked 26th versus starting PGs L20Games and, with plenty of value on the board today, it won’t be too difficult to jam Doncic into lineups. But, once again, just stay on top of his crucial availability news.

PG/SG Dennis Schroder, BKN | DK: $6k, FD: $6.4k | vs. PHI

The Nets remain thin in the backcourt with Cam Thomas and Ben Simmons out this evening, while Lonnie Walker IV is questionable. Dennis Schroder has started the last five games for the Nets and has averaged a respectable 1.09 FPPM in that span. The 76ers have allowed 1.24 FPPM to point guards L10Games and their overall defensive rating has plummeted ever since Joel Embiid went down with his knee injury. Philly will be down another key player, on both the offensive and defensive side, with Tyrese Maxey out with a concussion tonight. All of these factors will make Schroder a strong play out of the $6k range, especially if he continues to play big minutes (71 minutes played L2Games).

PG Kyle Lowry, PHI | DK: $5.2k, FD: $5.7k | @ BKN

On the other side of this match-up, which is tied for the closest spread on the slate (PHI: +2.5), we’ll look for some nice value out of Kyle Lowry. He has started in the last two games, playing 33 and 36 minutes, and has averaged a respectable 0.98 FPPM. He’ll now take on some added responsibility as a shooter with Tyrese Maxey on the sidelines this evening. The Nets have surrendered 1.27 FPPM to point guards L5Games and Lowry should be able to push for 6x value (or better) as a key contributor for the 76ers tonight.

Other Guards to Consider

PG Dejounte Murray, ATL | DK: $9.4k, FD: $9k | @ NYK

PG/SG Kyrie Irving, DAL | DK: $8.9k, FD: $9.3k | vs. IND (Boost if Doncic is out)

PG Immanuel Quickley, TOR | DK: $8k, FD: $8k | vs. NOP

SG/SF Donte DiVincenzo, NYK | DK: $7.8k, FD: $7.9k | vs. ATL (Boost if Brunson is out)

PG/SG Devin Vassell, SAS | DK: $7.6k, FD: $7.9k | @ HOU

PG Fred VanVleet, HOU | DK: $7.3k, FD: $7.8k | vs. SAS

PG Darius Garland, CLE | DK: $7.2k, FD: $7.6k | vs. BOS

SG/SF Jalen Green, HOU | DK: $6.7k, FD: $7.5k | vs. SAS

PG/SG Terry Rozier, MIA | DK: $6.5k, FD: $6.8k | vs. DET

SG/SF Buddy Hield, PHI | DK: $6.1k, FD: $6.3k | @ BKN

PG/SG Miles McBride, NYK | DK: $5.5k, FD: $5.7k | vs. ATL (Only if Brunson is out + McBride starts)

PG/SG Vasilije Micic, CHA | DK: $5k, FD: $4.8k | vs. ORL

SG Sam Merrill, CLE | DK: $4.1k, FD: $4.8k | vs. BOS (Boost if LeVert is out)

Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀

SF Jimmy Butler, MIA | DK: $8.1k, FD: $8.9k | vs. DET

Jimmy Buckets has been in prime form as of late. While he has missed a few games recently, spanning his last five starts, he’s stuffing the stat sheet with 24.0 PPG, 7.2 APG, 6.8 RPG, and 3.4 STL+BLK/gm while averaging 1.50 FPPM and 51.1 DKFP/52.0 FDFP per game. Butler’s outlook is great tonight as the Heat find themselves in a very winnable game at home against the Pistons and their 27th-ranked defense. Butler has been at his best in home games this season, where he is shooting 51.8% from the field, 45.8% from three, and averages +17.2% more FPPG than on the road. Another 50+ FP night is well within reach for Butler tonight, making him arguably the most appealing forward play out of the $8k range today.

SF/PF Tobias Harris, PHI | DK: $7.2k, FD: $7.4k | @ BKN

The fantasy results have not been consistently good for Tobias Harris lately, but he could realistically lead the 76ers in usage this evening now that Maxey has also been ruled out. He’s only a few days removed from a huge 31-point, 12-rebound game against the Hornets and came away with 62.0 DKFP/60.4 FDFP. Brooklyn heads into tonight’s match-up on the second leg of a back-to-back and they’ve ranked 22nd versus power forwards L10Games.

SF Ochai Agbaji, TOR | DK: $4.8k, FD: $4.1k | vs. NOP

The Raptors’ playoff hopes have been dwindling and they’ll now be without All-Star Scottie Barnes (hand) indefinitely; Toronto will also be without Jakob Poeltl and Bruce Brown tonight. Agbaji earned the start in Sunday’s game and hoisted 20 shots across 33 minutes and came away with 30.25 DKFP/31.3 FDFP. He wasn’t overly efficient, making just six of those 20 shots, but the key takeaway is that he played starter-caliber minutes and was heavily involved offensively. We should expect Agbaji to get another start tonight and provide some quality value out of the $4k range on both sites.

Other Forwards to Consider

PF/C Victor Wembanyama, SAS | DK: $10.7k, FD: $12k | @ HOU (Currently questionable)

PF Paolo Banchero, ORL | DK: $8.6k, FD: $8.6k | @ CHA

SF/SG Brandon Ingram, NOP | DK: $8k, FD: $8.2k | @ TOR

SF/PF Josh Hart, NYK | DK: $7.9k, FD: $8.1k | vs. ATL

PF RJ Barrett, TOR | DK: $7.7k, FD: $7.8k | vs. NOP

SF/PF Pascal Siakam, IND | DK: $7.6k, FD: $8.1k | @ DAL

PF Cameron Johnson, CKN | DK: $6.1k, FD: $6.2k | vs. PHI

PF/C Grant Williams, CHA | DK: $5.4k, FD: $5.7k | vs. ORL (Preferred if N. Richards is out + Williams starts at center again)

SF/PF Keldon Johnson, SAS | DK: $5.2k, FD: $5.9k | @ HOU (Boost if Wemby is out)

PF Davis Bertans, CHA | DK: $4k, FD: $3.9k | vs. ORL

PF/C Jonathan Isaac, ORL | DK: $3.5k, FD: $4.2k | @ CHA (DK Preferred)

Centers to Consider 🏀

C Alperen Sengun, HOU | DK: $8.2k, FD: $8.2k | vs. SAS

Generally speaking, the center options on this slate are fairly lackluster but Alperen Sengun is going to set up as an appealing option at $8,200 on both sites. Sengun was red-hot in the month of January but has since cooled down a bit. However, his DFS prices have also seen a steep drop from the $9k range, which he was previously priced at a few weeks ago. He typically brings a reliable floor to the table and has averaged 1.29 FPPM over his last 20 starts to go along with 19.4 PPG, 9.5 RPG, 4.9 APG, and 1.8 STL+BLK/gm. The Spurs are allowing a slate-high 1.34 FPPM to centers L20Games and they may not have the dominating rim-protecting presence from Victor Wembanyama (shoulder/questionable) tonight.

PF/C Kelly Olynyk, TOR | DK: $6.3k, FD: $5.8k | vs. NOP

Olynyk will have a chance to make his first start as a Raptor this evening with Jakob Poeltl out with a dislocated finger. Olynyk has provided some solid production off of the Raptors’ bench and has been eating into Poeltl’s minutes in recent games. He’s averaged 1.26 FPPM L5Games as a starter and could be in line for 30+ minutes for the short-handed Raptors. Olynyk also offers dual eligibility at power forward and center on both sites, so he’s a flexible fit for DFS lineups as well.

Other Centers to Consider

C Bam Adebayo, MIA | DK: $8.4k, FD: $8.4k | vs. DET

C Nic Claxton, BKN | DK: $6.7k, FD: $7.4k | vs. PHI

C Wendell Carter Jr., ORL | DK: $5.4k, FD: $5.7k | @ CHA

C Paul Reed, PHI | DK: $5.1k, FD: $6.1k | @ BKN (DK Preferred)

C Zach Collins, SAS | DK: $4.5k, FD: $6.5k | @ HOU (DK Preferred -- Boost if Wemby is out + Collins starts)
