Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀

SG/SF Anthony Edwards, MIN | DK: $8.8k, FD: $9.3k | @ IND

The Timberwolves were dealt some tough news recently. Karl-Anthony Towns was diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his left knee and will be out indefinitely. It’s a significant blow for Minnesota, who currently holds the top spot in the Western Conference standings. There will be some notable DFS-related impacts from the Towns injury and one player who should shoulder some added usage is star shooting guard Anthony Edwards. In 531 minutes with KAT off the floor this season, Edwards has handled just under a 37% usage rate and averages +4.5 fantasy points per 32 minutes. KAT has missed just two games this entire season -- Edwards scored 34 points in both contests to go along with 57.75 DKFP/58.5 FDFP (Feb. 27th vs. SAS) and 59.75 DKFP/56.2 FDFP (Dec 23rd @ SAC). We’ll also have little to gripe about with the match-up as the Pacers rank 2nd in tempo and 27th in DEFRTG. A close contest is expected as well, with the T-Wolves being slight 1.5-point road underdogs.

PG/SG Devin Vassell, SAS | DK: $7.3k, FD: $7.7k | @ SAC

One of the more notable injuries of the day involves rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama, who will miss tonight’s contest due to a sprained ankle. Wemby has accounted for a 31.8% USG% this season so some other guys will need to pick up the slack. Devin Vassell is one of those players who will see a usage uptick, and he has been playing some inspired ball as of late. Over his last five games, he is averaging 23.0 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 5.6 APG, and 2.4 STL+BLK/gm across 37.6 minutes/gm, resulting in 1.18 FPPM and 44.5 DKFP/43.6 FDFP per game. The Spurs will be sizable 11-point underdogs tonight, but that’s nothing new. It doesn’t hurt the Spurs’ chances that Sacramento is on the second leg of a back-to-back. This game also owns the second-highest combined pace on the slate along with the highest over/under of 235.5 points. If the Spurs keep this game close or come away with the win, Vassell will be a major reason why.

PG/SG Dennis Schroder, BKN | DK: $6.1k, FD: $6.6k | @ DET

The Nets head into this evening as the most shorthanded squad on the slate. They’ll be down four key contributors with Cam Thomas, Cameron Johnson, Ben Simmons, and Day’Ron Sharpe all out for tonight’s contest. Dennis Schroder has been with the Nets for just under a month following a trade, but in 57.3 minutes with those four aforementioned players off the court, he has seen a +6.9 percentage points boost to his usage rate along with a hefty +17.5 fantasy point per 32 minutes increase. He has averaged a respectable 1.08 FPPM and 34.1 DKFP/32.8 FDFP per game L5Games and should take on a bigger role tonight. The Pistons rank 29th in DEFRTG and have allowed 1.18 FPPM (4th most) to points guards on the season.

Other Guards to Consider

PG Luka Doncic, DAL | DK: $12.2k, FD: $12.6k | vs. MIA

PG De’Aaron Fox, SAC | DK: $8.5k, FD: $9.5k | vs. SAS (DK Preferred)

PG Immanuel Quickley, TOR | DK: $8.4k, FD: $8k | @ PHX

PG Jamal Murray, DEN | DK: $7.7k, FD: $8.4k | vs. BOS

PG Cade Cunningham, DET | DK: $7.6k, FD: $8.3k | vs. BKN

PG/SG Bradley Beal, PHX | DK: $6.9k, FD: $7.9k | vs. TOR (DK Preferred)

SG/SF Malik Monk, SAC | DK: $6.3k, FD: $6.6k | vs. SAS

SG/SF Duncan Robinson, MIA | DK: $5.8k, FD: $5.9k | @ DAL

PG Mike Conley, MIN | DK: $5.2k, FD: $6.1k | @ IND

SG/SF Lonnie Walker IV, BKN | DK: $4.6k, FD: $4.8k | @ DET (Currently questionable - Preferred if starting)

PG Dennis Smith Jr., BKN | DK: $4.3k, FD: $5.3k | @ DET

PG/SG Ben Sheppard, IND | DK: $3.2k, FD: $4.2k | vs. MIN

Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀

SF Jimmy Butler, MIA | DK: $8.3k, FD: $9k | @ DAL

Butler continues to look like ‘playoff Jimmy’ as the Heat look to improve their postseason seeding down the regular season stretch. He has now secured at least 49.0 DKFP/48.6 FDFP in six of his last seven games. Butler has been stuffing the stat sheet across all five major categories and he’ll face off with a Mavs team that has ranked 29th versus small forwards across their last five games. His DFS prices continue to climb but he’s been well worth these current salaries, so there’s still a bit of meat on the bone.

PF/C Kelly Olynyk, TOR | DK: $6.8k, FD: $6.5k | @ PHX

From a DFS perspective, Kelly Olynyk’s first start as a Raptor went well on Tuesday versus the Pelicans. He supplied 15 points, seven assists, six rebounds, two blocks, and two steals across 28 minutes, resulting in 41.0 DKFP/43.7 FDFP. Were it not for the 41-point blowout, Olynyk surely would have logged a few more minutes. The shorthanded Raptors will face an uphill battle on the road against Phoenix tonight, but if this game stays competitive and Olynyk plays closer to ~35 minutes, he’s a strong bet to return value out of the mid-range. Olynyk is averaging a sturdy 1.34 FPPM over his last five games as a starter, and he has been solid on a per-minute basis in three previous meetings with the Suns this season where he has averaged 1.10 FPPM.

SF/PF Keldon Johnson, SAS | DK: $4.9k, FD: $5.7k | @ SAC

Keldon Johnson has had a mixed bag of results since moving to a bench role in late December, but he’s been playing fairly well recently, averaging 0.88 FPPM across 31.5 minutes/gm over his last four games. Johnson leads the team with 777.6 minutes played with Victor Wembanyama (ankle/out) off the floor this season, and his +3.6% usage increase (w/o Wemby) is second-highest on the team. He’s a volatile option but he should be locked into 30+ minutes tonight and the Kings are allowing 1.20 FPPM to power forwards L10Games.

Other Forwards to Consider

PF Kevin Durant, PHX | DK: $9.7k, FD: $10.2k | vs. TOR

SF/PF DeMar DeRozan, CHI | DK: $8.2k, FD: $8.3k | @ GSW

PF/C Kristaps Porzingis, BOS | DK: $7.4k, FD: $8.4k | @ DEN (DK Preferred)

SF/SG Mikal Bridges, BKN | DK: $7.1k, FD: $7.8k | @ DET

PF Jonathan Kuminga, GSW | DK: $6.6k, FD: $6.7k | vs. CHI

SF/PF Royce O’Neale, PHX | DK: $5.6k, FD: $5.6k | vs. TOR

PF/C Naz Reid, MIN | DK: $5.4k, FD: $5.9k | @ IND

PF Dorian Finney-Smith, BKN | DK: $5k, FD: $4.9k | @ DET

PF Caleb Martin, MIA | DK: $4.5k, FD: $5.4k | @ DAL

SF/PF Kyle Anderson, MIN | DK: $4.3k, FD: $5.5k | @ IND (Assuming he starts for KAT)

SF/PF Simone Fontecchio, DET | DK: $4.2k, FD: $5.1k | vs. BKN

SF/PF Jalen Wilson, BKN | DK: $3.4k, FD: $3.8k | @ DET

Centers to Consider 🏀

C Rudy Gobert, MIN | DK: $7.5k, FD: $8.6k | @ IND

Gobert has not taken on a significant usage increase with KAT off the floor, but he has gone on to post 47.75 DKFP/48.9 FDFP and 48.75 DKFP/47.6 FDFP in the two games that Towns has been out this season. Gobert is a near automatic double-double on any given night, he has played at least 38 minutes in five of his last six games, and the Pacers are surrendering 1.45 FPPM to centers over their last five games.

C Zach Collins, SAS | DK: $4.3k, FD: $6.1k | @ SAC

Collins will undoubtedly be one of the most popular plays on the night as he’s poised to re-enter the starting lineup in place of the injured Wembanyama. He’ll be an extremely risky fade at his modest $4,300 DraftKings price tag. Collins has averaged 1.05 FPPM this season, and 1.17 FPPM over his last five games as a starter. Pending an early blowout, he should be in line for around 28-30 minutes this evening. The Kings also represent a plus match-up for Collins as they have allowed 1.27 FPPM to opposing centers L5Games.

Other Centers to Consider

C Nikola Jokic, DEN | DK: $11.4k, FD: $12k | vs. BOS

C Domantas Sabonis, SAC | DK: $10.6k, FD: $10.8k | vs. SAS

C Nikola Vucevic, CHI | DK: $8.3k, FD: $8k | @ GSW

C Jusuf Nurkic, PHX | DK: $7.2k, FD: $7.8k | vs. TOR

C Nic Claxton, BKN | DK: $6.8k, FD: $7.5k | @ DET

C Trayce Jackson-Davis, GSW | DK: $3.4k, FD: $4.5k | vs. CHI

C Dominick Barlow, SAS | DK: $3k, FD: $3.7k | @ SAC
