Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀
PG Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OKC | DK: $10.5k, FD: $11k | vs. MIA
There aren’t many [healthy] studs to choose from today so locking in the guy with the highest floor of the slate would seem like a wise move. Aside from his huge 35/8/9 game, with six steals + blocks, against Phoenix this past Sunday, SGA hasn’t exploded for any other huge games recently. However, it doesn’t hurt that the Thunder are back at home following a four-game road trip. Across the last 20 games, SGA is averaging 57.2 DKFP/58.6 FDFP when playing at home. It’s not a stellar match-up (MIA: 8th vs. Starting PGs L20Games) but the Heat are on the back end of a back-to-back and most starters played massive minutes last night’s game in Dallas.
SG/SF Caris LeVert, CLE | DK: $6.1k, FD: $6.4k | vs. MIN
The $5k/$6k ranges seem to have the deepest amount of viable guard options on this slate and we’ll give Caris LeVert a long look. Similar to their last game, the Cavs will be down three starters tonight (Mitchell, Mobley, and Strus). Barring a surprise, LeVert will continue to play off of the bench but he logged starter’s minutes (36) on Wednesday. He’s shown a huge ceiling recently and is averaging a sturdy 1.15 FPPM over his last five games. I don’t often look to target players going up against Minnesota (1st in DEFRTG) but the T-Wolves are another team on the second leg of a B2B and they will be without their 3rd highest-rated defensive player (K. Towns), and they may be without Anthony Edwards (ankle/questionable), who is their 2nd highest-rated defender.
PG/SG Vasilije Micic, CHA | DK: $5.3k, FD: $5.4k | @ WAS
This game between the Hornets and Wizards features two of the bottom three teams in defensive rating so we should have several strong DFS options from within this match-up. Micic has started the last two games for the Hornets, both due to several backcourt injuries and the fact that he has played fairly well. He supplied 21 points, five boards, four assists, and two steals (35.75 DKFP/35.0 FDFP) across 29 minutes against Orlando on Tuesday. Orlando rates out as the 4th best defensive team this season, so Micic could certainly replicate that success against a much worse team tonight. We’ll receive plenty of 6x upside (or better) from Micic at these current DFS salaries.
Other Guards to Consider
PG Dejounte Murray, ATL | DK: $9.2k, FD: $8.9k | @ MEM
SG/SF Anthony Edwards, MIN | DK: $9k, FD: $9.8k | @ CLE (Currently Questionable)
PG Darius Garland, CLE | DK: $7.6k, FD: $7.7k | vs. MIN
PG/SG Terry Rozier, MIA | DK: $6.5k, FD: $7k | @ OKC
PG/SG Jordan Poole, WAS | DK: $6k, FD: $6.9k | vs. CHA
PG/SG Miles McBride, NYK | DK: $5.9k, FD: $5.6k | vs. ORL (Only if Brunson is out)
SG/SF Duncan Robinson, MIA | DK: $5.5k, FD: $5.6k | @ OKC
PG/SG Jordan Goodwin, MEM | DK: $5.2k, FD: $6.2k | vs. ATL (DK Preferred)
PG/SG Josh Giddey, OKC | DK: $5.1k, FD: $6.3k | vs. MIA (DK Preferred)
PG Jose Alvarado, NOP | DK: $3.5k, FD: $4.3k | @ PHI
Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀
PF/C Jaren Jackson Jr., MEM | DK: $8.2k, FD: $9k | vs. ATL
JJJ has boasted an enormous 35.5% usage rate dated back to Jan. 12th (Desmond Bane’s last game played). He’s not the most reliable of options but he’s flashed excellent upside in his last two games, posting 58.25 DKFP/59.7 FDFP (@ PHI) and 60.75 DKFP/60.1 FDFP (@ MIN) while averaging 1.59 FPPM. The Grizzlies (+2.5) will be in a winnable game tonight at home against a shorthanded Hawks team, and Memphis is also seeing a significant pace-up boost (MEM: 18th in pace, ATL: 4th in pace). Jackson is a better bargain on DraftKings but, either way, we’re probably going to view him as a GPP preferred play in hopes that he’ll flirt with another 60+ FP performance tonight.
SF/PF De’Andre Hunter, ATL | DK: $5k, FD: $5.7k | @ MEM
De’Andre Hunter is the odds-on favorite to slide into the starting lineup tonight in place of the injured Jalen Johnson. Hunter is not a prolific scorer but he’ll take on a larger role due to multiple injuries within the Hawks rotation and he’s a good bet to average around an FPPM tonight. My guess would be that, in a competitive game, as this one should be, Hunter will approach 34-36 minutes this evening, which would put him firmly on the radar for 6x (or better) upside.
PF Davis Bertans, CHA | DK: $4.2k, FD: $4.3k | @ WAS
The Latvian Laser has found some meaningful minutes in the Hornets’ rotation lately. Bertans is averaging 24 minutes/gm over the last three contests and he has drained four three-pointers in each of those games while averaging a respectable 0.98 FPPM. If he continues to play mid-20s minutes, Bertans is going to stand out as an appealing value play as he faces a Wizards team that has ranked 29th versus reserves L20Games.
Other Forwards to Consider
SF/PF Miles Bridges, CHA | DK: $8.4k, FD: $8.4k | @ WAS
SF Jimmy Butler, MIA | DK: $8.2k, FD: $8.8k | @ OKC
PF Zion Williamson, NOP | DK: $8.1k, FD: $8.2k | @ PHI
PF/C Kyle Kuzma, WAS | DK: $7.8k, FD: $8.5k | vs. CHA
SF Franz Wagner, ORL | DK: $7.3k, FD: $7.5k | @ NYK
PF Jalen Williams, OKC | DK: $7.1k, FD: $7.7k | vs. MIA
SF/SG Brandon Miller, CHA | DK: $7k, FD: $7k | @ WAS
SF Deni Avdija, WAS | DK: $6.7k, FD: $6.6k | vs. CHA
SF/SG Kelly Oubre Jr., PHI | DK: $6.2k, FD: $6.8k | vs. NOP
SF/PF Saddiq Bey, ATL | DK: $5.7k, FD: $6.3k | @ MEM
SF/SG Trey Murphy III, NOP | DK: $5.6k, FD: $6.9k | @ PHI
SF Jake LaRavia, MEM | DK: $4.9k, FD: $5.3k | vs. ATL
SF/PF Georges Niang, CLE | DK: $4k, FD: $4.2k | vs. MIN (Preferred if starting)
PF/C Jonathan Isaac, ORL | DK: $3.2k, FD: $4.2k | @ NYK (DK Punt Play)
Centers to Consider 🏀
C Rudy Gobert, MIN | DK: $7.7k, FD: $8.5k | @ CLE
In three games without Karl-Anthony Towns (knee/out indefinitely) this season, Gobert is averaging 17.3 PPG, 16.0 RPG, and 3.0 BLK/gm across 39.3 minutes/gm. We do have to take into account that he played 40 minutes in last night’s game, but as long as the fatigue isn’t an issue, Gobert is generally going to provide an excellent floor with 50+ FP upside. He has secured at least 42.0 DKFP/42.2 FDFP in five of his last six games and could take on more offensive responsibility if Anthony Edwards (ankle/questionable) is unable to suit up.
C Richaun Holmes, WAS | DK: $3.7k, FD: $4.7k | vs. CHA
The Wizards will be without starting center Marvin Bagley III for a second consecutive game. They elected to take a small ball approach with Kyle Kuzma operating as the starting center on Wednesday, but Richaun Holmes still received 25 minutes off of the bench. Holmes procured 25.25 DKFP/27.0 FDFP in those 25 minutes. There’s no guarantee that he’ll log mid-20s minutes again tonight, especially since the Hornets have been playing with a smaller lineup at times. But this is a plus match-up as the Hornets are allowing 1.23 FPPM to centers over their last 20 games.
Other Centers to Consider
C Bam Adebayo, MIA | DK: $8.3k, FD: $8.4k | @ OKC
C Jarrett Allen, CLE | DK: $7.9k, FD: $8.6k | vs. MIN
C Clint Capela, ATL | DK: $5.7k, FD: $5.8k | @ MEM
C Nick Richards, CHA | DK: $5.6k, FD: $5.9k | @ WAS
C Paul Reed, PHI | DK: $5.5k, FD: $6.2k | vs. NOP (Preferred if starting)
C Bruno Fernando, ATL | DK: $4.4k, FD: $4.2k | @ MEM
