Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀

PG/SG Donovan Mitchell, CLE | DK: $9.4k, FD: $9.5k | vs. BOS | Cash & GPP

“Spida” Mitchell has been incredible for the 5-1 Cavs this season. He’s playing big minutes (39.0 Min/Gm) while averaging a lofty 1.38 DKFPPM. His usage rate sits at 33.4%, and he’s putting up 9.2 3PA/Gm and hitting the long ball at a 45.5% clip. The downside here stems from the relatively slow pace (196.4 combined pace - 2nd lowest on the slate) but when the Cavs took on the Celtics last Friday, Mitchell put up 41 points and 51.5 DKFP/46.3 FDFP… though, that game did go into OT and Mitchell played a whopping 46 minutes. Despite the slower pace, Mitchell brings a great floor to DFS lineups today and this is expected to be another close game with the Cavs checking in as slight +2 home underdogs.

💫 PG/SG Anfernee Simons, POR | DK: $7.6k, FD: $7.8k | vs. MEM | Cash & GPP

This game features the slate's highest combined pace (204.8) and carries a big 226.5-point total. Damian Lillard (calf) is set to miss another game which means Anfernee Simons will be “Option A” in the Trailblazers' offensive pecking order. In the first full game without Lillard last Friday, Simons put up 20 shots, scoring 30 points to go with seven assists, five rebounds, a block, and a steal in 38 minutes played. That performance netted him 52.75 DKFP. He’s an elite source of three-pointers -- Simons is chucking 9.8 3PA/Gm (37.3% 3P%), including 15 3PA in that last game. If Simons’s shot is cold from beyond the arc, he may struggle to post a performance similar to his last outing. But with the probability that he’ll put up another 20+ shots while playing minutes in the high-30s and the added potential of extra assist upside, he’ll be a great option at these $7k DFS salaries.

💫 PG/SG Davion Mitchell, SAC | DK: $4.2k, FD: $4.9k | @ MIA | Cash & GPP

Here is this slate's “chalk du jour” at PG/SG. De’Aaron Fox is sidelined with a knee injury, so Davion Mitchell is the favorite to enter the starting lineup. He thrived in a starting role last season however, Mitchell has been limited to a backup role early on this year. When Fox exited Monday’s game after playing nine minutes, Mitchell went on to play 31 minutes off the bench and put up 34.0 DKFP/31.8 FDFP. He can typically average around an FPPM, so, with around a 36 minutes projection tonight, it’s pretty easy to see why he should crush value at these DFS salaries despite the relatively tough match-up against a slow-paced Miami Heat team.

Also Consider:

💫 PG Luka Doncic, DAL | DK: $12.3k, FD: $11.8k | vs. UTA | Cash & GPP

💫 PG Jrue Holiday, MIL | DK: $8.2k, FD: $8.3k | vs. DET | Cash & GPP

PG Kyle Lowry, MIA | DK: $5.9k, FD: $6.3k | vs. SAC | GPP Preferred

PG/SG Josh Richarson, SAS | DK: $5.8k, FD: $5.3k | vs. TOR | GPP/FD Preferred

💫 SG/SF Kevin Huerter, SAC | DK: $5.5k, FD: $6k | @ MIA | Cash & GPP

PG/SG Ayo Dosunmu, CHI | DK: $5.4k, FD: $5.4k | vs. CHA | GPP Preferred

PG Goran Dragic, CHI | DK: $3.4k, FD: $4.2k | vs. CHA | GPP/DK Preferred

Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀

💫 PF Zion Williamson, NOP | DK: $8.7k, FD: $8.3k | @ LAL | Cash & GPP

It’s a small one-game sample size, but with Brandon Ingram (concussion) sidelined on Sunday, Zion averaged a massive 1.60 DKFPPM across 31 minutes played against the Clippers, thus coming away with 49.5 DKFP/47.9 FDFP. For some comparison to another stud player, Zion’s DKFPPM average from his last game is a smidge higher than Ja Morant’s 1.55 DKFPPM average this season. Zion might not be ready to play a 35+ minute role just yet, but he does project for around 32 minutes tonight against the Lakers. We can also expect Zion to account for around a 33% USG% so he should put up close to 20 shots. The Lakers rank 29th in rebounding% so Zion is a good bet to notch a double-double tonight as well.

PF Julius Randle, NYK | DK: $7.7k, FD: $7.4k | vs. ATL | GPP Preferred

The $7k DFS salaries for Randle make sense. His usage and FPPM production have declined compared to his massive 2021-22 season. But he was also routinely priced in the $9k/low-$10k range for much of last season, and Randle has still shown the ability to put up 50+ FP performances this season. The Hawks have struggled against opposing power forwards this season, and this game owns a slate-high 233 O/U, with the Knicks being slight -2 favorites at home. If Randle can improve his 3P% (currently shooting 24.0% from three), we’ll see more of those monster 50+ FP performances. For the time being, he sets up as a strong GPP play, and I don’t totally hate him for cash either.

SF/PF Patrick Williams, CHI | DK: $3.7k, FD: $4.1k | vs. CHA | Cash & GPP

It’s not a sexy play, but Williams has played 31+ minutes in back-to-back starts and he would receive a light usage boost if Zach LaVine (knee) sits out on tonight’s second leg of a B2B. He’s only averaging 0.67 DKFPPM but if you stretch that out to 30 minutes, that’s 20.1 DKFP (5.4x value at $3.7k on DK). He recorded a season-high 26.75 DKFP/27.9 FDFP against the Nets last night and this is another strong match-up against a Hornets team that can struggle at times against opposing forwards.

Also Consider:

PF/C Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL | DK: $12.6k, FD: $11.6k | vs. DET | GPP/FD Preferred

SF/PF DeMar DeRozan, CHI | DK: $8.5k, FD: $7.9k | vs. CHA | GPP/FD Preferred

💫 SF/PF Lauri Markkanen, UTA | DK: $7.6k, FD: $7.8k | @ DAL | Cash & GPP

SF/PF Harrison Barnes, SAC | DK: $4.9k, FD: $4.9k | @ MIA | GPP Preferred

SF Eric Gordon, HOU | DK: $4.5k, FD: $5k | vs. LAC | GPP Preferred

PF Jeremy Sochan, SAS | DK: $4.5k, FD: $4.6k | vs. TOR | GPP Preferred

Centers to Consider 🏀

C Pascal Siakam, TOR | DK: $9.5k, FD: $9.5k | @ SAS | Cash & GPP

Nick Nurse continues to run his starters into the ground with huge minutes night in and night out. Siakam appears to be nearly blowout-proof as well. In Toronto’s last two games, Siakam still played 36 minutes in a 22-point loss to the 76ers and 35 minutes in a 30-point win over the Hawks. He leads the position at 37.4 Min/Gm, and he’s not far off from averaging a triple-double per game (26.1 PPG, 9.6 RPG, 7.4 APG). At his current 1.44 DKFPPM rate to go with his massive minutes, it won’t be long before Siakam is a $10k+ player. One caveat here is that it does look like Otto Porter Jr. looks likely to make his season debut tonight but he may be playing a limited role off the bench, at least to start the season. Fred VanVleet (back) is also questionable to suit up tonight. If he’s out, Siakam’s high usage is further solidified.

💫 C Brook Lopez, MIL | DK: $5.4k, FD: $6.6k | vs. DET | Cash & GPP/DK Preferred

BroLo remains way underpriced on DraftKings. His worst DFS performance of the season still netted him 27.5 DKFP, representing 5.1x value at this current DK salary. He has stepped it up even further recently. Lopez has played 33+ minutes in three consecutive games, averaging 38.8 DKFP in that stretch. If the Pistons can keep this game close, like they did when these two teams played on Monday, then Lopez should smash value at this DK salary. He’s perhaps more of a GPP option on FanDuel, but his 39.4 FDFPPG average over his last three games works out to an average of 6.0x value at $6,600 FD.

Also Consider:

C Jonas Valanciunas, NOP | DK: $7.7k, FD: $7.3k | @ LAL | GPP Preferred

C Ivica Zubac, LAC | DK: $6.5k, FD: $6.8k | @ HOU | GPP Preferred

C Alperen Sengun, HOU | DK: $5.9k, FD: $6.3k | vs. LAC | Cash & GPP

C Mitchell Robinson, NYK | DK: $4.9k, FD: $5.2k | vs. ATL | GPP Preferred

C Isaiah Hartenstein, NYK | DK: $4.2k, FD: $5.1k | vs. ATL | Cash & GPP/DK Preferred

C Zach Collins, SAS | DK: $4.1k, FD: $4.6k | vs. TOR | GPP Preferred

NBA Player Props 📊

Player Prop or Bet | Odds | Unit Bet Size

Anfernee Simons OVER 3.5 Three-Pointers Made | -135 (PointsBet) | 2.25 Units

In the first full game without Damian Lillard last Friday, Simons put up 20 shots. 15 of those 20 FGA were from beyond the arc and he ended up sinking seven three-pointers (46.7% 3P%). Perhaps Simons won’t launch 15 threes again tonight, but he remains a strong bet to put up 10-12 3PA. Simons is a career 39.1% three-point shooter so I love his chances to sink 4+ threes in this game.

Davion Mitchell OVER 4.5 Assists | -139 (Caesars) | 2.25 Units

When De’Aaron Fox missed Sacramento’s final 11 games last season, Mitchell filled in as the starting PG in all 11 games. He recorded at least SEVEN assists in 10 of those 11 starts and went for 15+ assists on multiple occasions. Now that Fox is set to miss at least tonight’s game with a knee injury, Davion Mitchell should jump right back into his starting PG role. His assists prop is too low today. You can also get the over on 5.5 assists at plus money odds (+105 PointsBet), which I believe is a strong bet as well.
