Main Slate Match-Ups w/ Game Totals & Point Spreads

Note: NBA position designations are never going to perfectly align between the major DFS sites. For the purposes of these newsletters, positional designations will default to DraftKings.

Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀

PG Tyrese Haliburton, IND | DK: $9.5k, FD: $9.6k | @ SAC | Cash & GPP

This is a monstrous slate but this Pacers/Kings match-up sticks out in a big way thanks to its extremely high 242.5 O/U. The total here is over 10 points higher than the next-closest game total on the slate. Any key player in this game will be worth some consideration and Haliburton is at the top of the list. He has ripped off six consecutive points/assists double-doubles and he has just been incredibly consistent this season. I usually hate to inject the “revenge narrative” into DFS plays but Haliburton may have some extra motivation to show out at his old stomping grounds.

PG/SG Jaylen Nowell, MIN | DK: $3.9k, FD: $4.2k | vs. MEM | Cash & GPP

There is rarely any shortage of value on a slate this large and Nowell looks to benefit directly from Towns' absence. He’s not the most likely candidate to replace KAT in the starting lineup but he’ll at least have a chance to slide in as a starter. Regardless, he’s been highly efficient when given solid minutes and whether he plays off the bench or starts, he should see a notable uptick in his minutes allotment. Nowell has put up 28.25 DKFP and 34.75 DKFP in his last two games despite playing around 24 minutes in both games. He’ll coast to value if he manages to flirt with a 30-minute workload.

PG/SG Tre Mann, OKC | DK: $3.3k, FD: $4.4k | vs. SAS | Cash & GPP

Another cheap guard to consider on this slate is Tre Mann, who should step into the starting five in place of the injured Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Mann has averaged only 0.76 FPPM this season however his production has bumped up to 0.91 FPPM in his last five games as a starter. He should easily hit value on DraftKings and he likely won’t burn you at $4,400 on FanDuel either.

Other Guards to Consider:

PG/SG Anfernee Simons, POR | DK: $8.2k, FD: $8.4k | @ LAL | GPP Preferred

PG Jrue Holiday, MIL | DK: $7.3k, FD: $7.8k | @ NYK | GPP Preferred

PG Jamal Murray, DEN | DK: $7.2k, FD: $7.1k | vs. HOU | Cash & GPP

PG D’Angelo Russell, MIN | DK: $6.4k, FD: $6.6k | vs. MEM | GPP Preferred

SG/SF Kevin Huerter, SAC | DK: $5.5k, FD: $6.1k | vs. IND | GPP Preferred

PG/SG Collin Sexton, CLE | DK: $5.4k, FD: $5.1k | vs. LAC | Cash & GPP

Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀

PF Zion Williamson, NOP | DK: $8.6k, FD: $8.5k | vs. TOR | GPP Preferred

Tough match-up against a top 10 Raptors defense but the Pelicans are going to be without two of their primary scorers with Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum both sidelined this evening -- which represents a 52.3% USG% that will need to be distributed elsewhere. When those two have been off the court this season, Zion has benefited with a team-high +5.7% usage boost, and his per 48-minute production increased by +8.7 FP. Even without a couple of their star players available, the Pelicans are only a +2.5 underdog at home and the 222.0 point total is honestly not too shabby. Zion has a chance to drop 50+ fantasy points tonight so, at mid-$8k salaries, he’s certainly worth a look.

SF/SG Anthony Edwards, MIN | DK: $8k, FD: $8k | vs. MEM | Cash & GPP

Edwards has small forward eligibility on both DK and FD, so that may be a strong spot to roll him out in lineups. As mentioned above with Jaylen Nowell, the KAT injury will have a trickle-down effect on other key Timberwolves players and Edwards has been consistently posting 40+ FP performances even when Towns was in the lineup. This game boasts the second-highest total on the slate (231 O.U) and Edwards has handled a +4.8% usage increase and +7.9 per 48-minute FP increase when Towns has been off the floor this season.

SF/PF Justise Winslow, POR | DK: $4.6k, FD: $5.2k | @ LAL | Cash & GPP

It’s not necessarily a sexy play but Winslow is handling big minutes as a starter and is routinely returning strong value on his affordable DFS price tags. He has logged at least 34 minutes in three consecutive starts and has averaged 29.9 DKFP in those games. The Trailblazers (28th in pace) draw a strong uptempo match-up against a Lakers team that operates at the fastest pace in the NBA so Winslow will continue to be a strong bet to hit 6x value.

Other Forwards to Consider:

PF/C Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL | DK: $12.4k, FD: $12k | @ NYK | GPP Preferred

SF/PF Jayson Tatum, BOS | DK: $10.8k, FD: $10.2k | vs. MIA | Cash & GPP (Preferred if J. Brown sits)

PF Jerami Grant, POR | DK: $7.1k, FD: $8.2k | @ LAL | Cash & GPP/DK Preferred

SF/PF Kyle Anderson, MIN | DK: $3.8k, FD: $4.6k | vs. MEM | GPP Preferred (Cash Play if Starting)

Centers to Consider 🏀

C Nicolas Claxton, BRK | DK: $5.8k, FD: $6.1k | vs. WAS | Cash & GPP

The center position is a good spot to save some salary in lineups today. I wouldn’t completely rule out a stud like Embiid, Jokic, or Sabonis, but there is some big value to be had in the mid/low salary ranges. Claxton has averaged 1.18 FPPM over his last five starts and has poured in at least 38.25 DKFP in three of his last four. Barring foul trouble or injury, Claxton should be locked into a 30+ minute workload tonight, particularly with Ben Simmons being ruled out.

C Zach Collins, SAS | DK: $4.5k, FD: $4.5k | @ OKC | Cash & GPP

No Jakob Poeltl for the Spurs tonight so Zach Collins is a likely candidate to step into the starting rotation. Collins is an excellent FPPM producer, averaging 1.21 FPPM this season. If he flirts with 30 minutes of playing time tonight, he’ll have no problems providing a 6x value return (or better).

Other Centers to Consider:

C Joel Embiid, PHI | DK: $11.4k, FD: $11.8k | @ CLE | GPP Preferred

C Domantas Sabonis, SAC | DK: $9.2k, FD: $8.8k | vs. IND | Cash & GPP

PF/C Evan Mobley, CLE | DK: $7.1k, FD: $7.2k | vs. PHI | GPP Preferred

C Jusuf Nurkic, POR | DK: $6.9k, FD: $6.8k | @ LAL | Cash & GPP

C Mitchell Robinson, NYK | DK: $4.5k, FD: $5.7k | vs. MIL | GPP/DK Preferred

C Naz Reid, MIN | DK: $3.2k, FD: $3.9k | vs. MEM | GPP Preferred

NBA Player Props 📊

Player Prop or Bet | Odds | Unit Bet Size

Tyrese Haliburton OVER 11.5 Assists | -115 (DraftKings) | 2.0 Units

Haliburton leads the NBA in assists and it is not particularly close. His 11.3 APG is nearly two assists higher than the next closest facilitator (Trae Young: 9.4 APG). Not only has Haliburton hit the over on this assist prop in five of his last six games, but he has at least 14 assists in those five games! Given this game’s slate-leading combined pace and slate-high 242.5 O/U, there are a lot of shots expected to drop in this match-up tonight. I’ll be happy to jump all over this assist prop.

Shake Milton OVER 22.5 Points + Assists | +105 (PointsBet) | 2.0 Units

Milton has been awesome since entering the starting rotation in place of Tyrese Maxey. In his recent six starts, he’s averaging 26.2 PPG and 6.7 APG. Now, Joel Embiid was out for five of those Milton starts, but when Embiid returned to the lineup on Monday, Milton still racked up 28 points + assists. This game easily holds the lowest total of the day but this should be a close game (CLE -3.5) so Milton should continue to play massive minutes and be heavily involved as a scorer and facilitator. He has comfortably hit the over on this prop in five of the last six games and was just two combined points/assists away from cashing it in all six.

PrizePicks Two-Pick Power Play ⚡

Here is a two-pick “Power Play” I’m liking for today's NBA action over on PrizePicks! Nothing is ever a guarantee to hit but I put my own money on these bets so I don't just lightly throw these out there without believing they'll cash! If it hits, it will return 3x the wager.

Tyrese Haliburton MORE than 11.5 Assists

Shake Milton MORE than 21.5 Points + Assists
