Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀

PG Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OKC | DK: $9.4k, FD: $10.4k | @ DET | Cash & GPP

SGA put up a season-low 26.75 DKFP/27.7 FDFP in his last game while playing a season-low 31.8 minutes. Considering it was a bit of a blowout loss to the Bucks, who rank 1st in defensive efficiency, I believe we can cut SGA some slack given the stellar season he is putting together in 2022. He’s averaging 1.43 DKFPPM while commanding a 32.6% USG% and racking up 3.4 STL+BLK/Gm. He’ll also draw a much better match-up against a Pistons team that ranks dead last in defensive efficiency and has been torn up by opposing point guards this season.

💫PG/SG Fred VanVleet, TOR | DK: $7.6k, FD: $7.2k | @ CHI | Cash & GPP

While Pascal Siakam (groin) is out for an extended period, VanVleet will see a noticeable usage increase. That was on display yesterday against this same Bulls team where FVV posted a 30-point double-double (11 assists), despite shooting rather poorly (9-22 from the field). VanVleet’s usage will rise while Siakam is out, and he’ll likely pick up some of the slack that Siakam leaves behind in his assist numbers (Siakam: 7.7 APG). VanVleet is also a strong source of steals and blocks (2.7 STL+BLK/Gm), and he has played at least 38 minutes in every one of his healthy games this season.

PG/SG De’Anthony Melton, PHI | DK: $5.3k, FD: $5.6k | vs. PHX | Cash & GPP

Melton will continue to make the starting lineup while James Harden (foot) misses time. He has averaged 1.10 FPPM in three games as a starter this season and should be expected to play around 30 Min/Gm until Harden returns. Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey are going to command much of the usage, but Melton has scored at least 12 points in all three of his starts, he posted a season-high nine assists in his last game, and he is averaging 2.3 STL+BLK/Gm this season.

Other Guards to Consider:

PG Luka Doncic, DAL | DK: $12.5k, FD: $11.8k | vs. BKN | GPP Preferred

PG Jrue Holiday, MIL | DK: $9k, FD: $8.4k | @ ATL | GPP Preferred

PG Tyrese Haliburton, IND | DK: $8.5k, FD: $8.5k | vs. NOP | Cash & GPP

💫PG Tyrese Maxey, PHI | DK: $7.8k, FD: $8k | vs. PHX | Cash & GPP

💫PG/SG Terry Rozier, CHA | DK: $7.7k, FD: $7.9k | vs. WAS | Cash & GPP

PG Darius Garland, CLE | DK: $6.9k, FD: $8k | @ LAC | GPP/DK Preferred

PG Monte Morris, WAS | DK: $4.8k, FD: $5.7k | @ CHA | GPP/DK Preferred

PG/SG Collin Sexton, UTA | DK: $4.6k, FD: $5k | vs. LAL | Cash & GPP

PG/SG Kendrick Nunn, LAL | DK: $3k, FD: $3.5k | @ UTA | GPP Preferred

Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀

💫PF/C Anthony Davis, LAL | DK: $9.1k, FD: $10.3k | @ UTA | Cash & GPP

Note: AD is currently questionable to play tonight.

Assuming Davis suits up, he’s in line for some massive usage tonight. LeBron will miss his first game of the season, and the Lakers will also be without Lonnie Walker IV and Pat Beverly. It’s a very small sample size, but when those three players have been off the court this season, AD has seen a major +10.9% USG% boost. As all NBA fans know, Anthony Davis is an injury risk waiting to happen, but he has missed just one game so far this season and has played at least 32 minutes in all eight of his games. He’s bringing in 11.1 RPG and 3.6 STL+BLK/Gm so he posts excellent peripheral stats and his offensive usage should be through the roof tonight against the Jazz.

💫SF OG Anunoby, TOR | DK: $6.2k, FD: $6.7k | @ CHI | Cash & GPP

Anunoby has been an absolute demon defensively. Over his last five starts, he’s averaging an absurd 5.2 STL+BLK/Gm, which has led to 1.26 DKFPPM/1.34 FDFPPM in that stretch. Those aren’t sustainable numbers, but Anunoby continues to lead the NBA in steals (3.1 STL/Gm), and he’s another Toronto Raptor. He should see an uptick in his usage with Pascal Siakam sidelined. Anunoby has shot totals of 21 and 19 in his last two games, representing his two highest FGA of the season. We know Nick Nurse likes to run his starters into the ground so Anunoby is a good bet to play around 36-38 minutes again tonight.

💫SF/PF Kyle Anderson, MIN | DK: $4.1k, FD: $3.6k | vs. NYK | Cash & GPP

With Rudy Gobert out of the lineup, Kyle Anderson logged his first start of the season in Minnesota’s last game on Saturday. Anderson posted a strong performance scoring 16 points while contributing six assists, three rebounds, and three steals in 31 minutes -- good for 35.25 DKFP/36.6 FDFP. Given that performance, it’d be a surprise if he doesn’t continue to start while Gobert remains sidelined. He stands out as an excellent value play today.

Other Forwards to Consider:

PF/C Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL | DK: $12.6k, FD: $11.6k | @ ATL | GPP Preferred

SF/PF Jayson Tatum, BOS | DK: $10.2k, FD: $10.2k | @ MEM | Cash & GPP

PF Paolo Banchero, ORL | DK: $8.7k, FD: $8.4k | vs. HOU | GPP Preferred

PF Julius Randle, NYK | DK: $7.6k, FD: $7.2k | @ MIN | Cash & GPP

SF/PF Lauri Markkanen, UTA | DK: $7.5k, FD: $8k | vs. LAL | GPP Preferred

SF/PG Scottie Barnes, TOR | DK: $7.2k, FD: $7.3k | @ CHI | Cash & GPP

💫SF/SG Buddy Hield, IND | DK: $6.6k, FD: $6.5k | vs. NOP | Cash & GPP

PF/C Darius Bazley, SAC | DK: $4.1k, FD: $4.5k | @ DET | GPP Preferred

Centers to Consider 🏀

C Myles Turner, IND | DK: $5.7k, FD: $6.6k | vs. NOP | GPP Preferred

Turner can be hard to trust since he is often dealing with some kind of injury and he also has the tendency to get into foul trouble. But his DFS ceiling is through the roof, as we saw in his 10/28 game against the Wizards when he put up 27 points, 10 rebounds, five blocks, and two assists (54.5 DKFP/55 FDFP). He’s an elite rim protector (3.5 BLK/Gm) and has some decent ability from three-point range. If he can log 30+ minutes against the Pelicans, and that is a pretty big “if,” then we could see another high-ceiling performance out of him tonight.

💫C Isiah Hartenstein, NYK | DK: $5.2k, FD: $5.2k | @ MIN | Cash & GPP

Hartenstein is slated to slide into the starting lineup for a second consecutive game while Mitchell Robinson (knee) is out. Hartenstein logged 38 minutes in his last game where he put up a 10-point, 14-rebound double-double and scored 32.5 DKFP/31.3 FDFP. He has averaged 0.98 DKFPPM this season so if he continues to see minutes in the mid-to-upper 30s, he should be an easy candidate to return 6x value or better. Typically, there would be some hesitation about rostering centers against the T-Wolves due to the defensive presence of Rudy Gobert. Those concerns are alleviated with the “Stifle Tower” sidelined for Minnesota tonight.

Other Centers to Consider:

C Nikola Jokic, DEN | DK: $11.6k, FD: $10.7k | @ SAS | GPP Preferred

PF/C Karl Anthony-Towns, MIN | DK: $10k, FD: $9.6k | vs. NYK | Cash & GPP

C Kristaps Porzingis, WAS | DK: $7.7k, FD: $7.6k | @ CHA | GPP Preferred

PF/C Isaiah Stewart, DET | DK: $5.6k, FD: $5.6k | vs. OKC | GPP Preferred

💫PF/C Chris Boucher, TOR | DK: $4.4k, FD: $5.3k | @ CHI | GPP Preferred

C Christian Koloko, TOR | DK: $3.4k, FD: $3.7k | @ CHI | GPP Preferred

NBA Player Props 📊

Player Prop or Bet | Odds | Unit Bet Size

OG Anunoby OVER 1.5 Steals | -125 (DraftKings) | 2.25 Units

Ya can’t stop me from going after Anunoby’s steals prop. As highlighted in the DFS segment, Anunoby leads the NBA with 3.1 STL/Gm, and over his last five games, he has recorded an astonishing 4.2 STL/Gm. Chicago is middle-of-the-road when it comes to turnovers, averaging 15.0 per game (ranks 17th), but Anunoby logged three steals against them yesterday, and it’d be a surprise at this point if he *doesn’t* log multiple steals in any game for the foreseeable future. I think these odds should be closer to -150 to -200, so we’ll take what looks like a nice value here.

Isaiah Hartenstein to Record a Double-Double: YES | +175 (DraftKings) | 1.50 Units

I can dig these sorts of double-double odds for Hartenstein tonight. He logged a double-double (10 points, 14 rebounds) in his first start of the season on Saturday and played big minutes while doing so. He’ll (presumably) land in the starting lineup once again with Mitchell Robinson out. Minnesota was already ranked 20th in rebounding% with Rudy Gobert in the lineup for all but one game this season so they may struggle to bring down the boards with him sidelined tonight. I don’t believe we have to worry about the rebounds much, but rather the points. However, Hartenstein has scored at least 10 points in three-of-four games where he has played at least 27 minutes this season. At +175 odds, I’ll take a shot on his double-double prop tonight.

PrizePicks Two-Pick Power Play ⚡

OG Anunoby MORE than 1.5 Steals

Anthony Davis MORE than 10.5 Rebounds
