DFS Main Slate Rundown 📰
We’ll get things going with a small Monday NBA slate -- six games on DraftKings and four games on FanDuel. In a bit of a twist, contrary to how they have handled most other slates this season, FanDuel has elected to leave the two late games off of their main slate. Both LA teams will be at home tonight and those games are expected to play as scheduled (previous LA home games have been postponed due to the wildfires in recent days, which is perhaps why FD left these two games off of their main slate to begin with). Looking at the injury report, this is one of the quieter days in recent memory. There are only a handful of players with “questionable” designations that we’ll need to keep track of and there aren’t many injury absences (players already ruled out or are "doubtful) in total. That could make finding value a bit tricky on this slate but we’ll see if we can locate the right pieces to the puzzle. Best of luck!

Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀
PG Stephen Curry, GSW | DK: $8.8k, FD: $8.7k | at TOR
We’re not seeing consistent high-end production out of Curry this season but we know he still has ample 50+ FP upside in the tank. He has missed a few games in recent weeks as the Warriors have been cautious with him on either side of back-to-backs. Fortunately, the Warriors are not on any sort of B2B today and Curry should operate with no minute limitations. With J. Kuminga and B. Podziemski both still sidelined, there is some additional usage available so we should anticipate Curry hoisting 20+ shots this evening. The 19-19 Warriors have a good chance to get over the .500 hump as six-point road favorites against the Raptors. Toronto checks in at 28th in DEFRTG this season and they should also provide Curry with a strong individual match-up as they’ve ranked 25th versus starting PGs L10Games.
SG Jalen Green, HOU | DK: $6.8k, FD: $7k | vs. MEM
Green is enjoying a nice stretch of performances so we’ll see if the iron’s still hot. He has put up 27+ points in four consecutive games while averaging a stout 1.33 FPPM. With Jabari Smith Jr. (hand/out) and Tari Eason (leg/doubtful) off the floor this season, Green has taken on a moderate +1.8% USG% increase but, more notably, he has averaged +5.5 more FP per 32 minutes in those splits. These two teams just met four days ago and Green provided 42.5 DKFP/42.9 FDFP on a healthy 27.4% USG% across 38 minutes of action. This is the only game on the slate with a 230+ over/under, and Houston (18th in pace) receives a massive pace-up boost from Memphis (1st in pace), so there are going to be multiple Rockets that make for sensible DFS plays this evening.

PG/SG Donte DiVincenzo, MIN | DK: $5.4k, FD: $5.4k | at WAS
The Timberwolves moved DiVincenzo into the starting lineup four games ago and, overall, he has played well in that new role. He is coming off of his best game in a Timberwolves’ uniform on Saturday when he poured in a huge 27/10/7 stat line (w/ two steals) across 36 minutes against the Grizzlies -- a performance that netted him 57.0 DKFP/52.50 FDFP. He owns a $5,400 salary on both sites today and, considering he is now averaging over an FPPM as a starter and should be expected to play 30+ minutes, that makes him an appealing value option on this slate. Not that I have to speak much on the match-up, but it’s clearly a great one as the Wizards have dropped down to dead last in the NBA in DEFRTG and continue to play at the fourth-fastest pace.
Other Guards to Consider
PG Cade Cunningham, DET at NYK
SG Anthony Edwards, MIN at WAS
PG Jalen Brunson, NYK vs. DET (Currently questionable)
PG/SG Miles McBride, NYK vs. DET (Only if Brunson is out)
PG Mike Conley, MIN at WAS
DraftKings Main Slate Only
PG/SG Tyler Herro, MIA at LAC (Boost if B. Adebayo is out)
PG Austin Reaves, LAL vs. SAS
PG Chris Paul, SAS at LAL
SG/SF Max Christie, LAL vs. SAS
PG/SG Stephon Castle, SAS at LAL (Preferred if J. Sochan is out)
Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀
SF/PF Josh Hart, NYK | DK: $7.9k, FD: $8.1k | vs. DET
There aren’t many high-end forwards on strong spots on this slate -- I would likely have given LeBron a spotlight (triple-doubles in both games versus the Spurs this season), but I try to only spotlight players who are on both DK and FD slates. Anyhow, Josh Hart is practically always worthy of some DFS consideration. The usage rate is never going to be very high for him but we know he’s going to stuff the stat sheet most nights and play upwards of 40 minutes -- that’s just the Tom Thibodeau way. I mean, the Knicks beat the Bucks by 34 points yesterday and Hart was still out there for 35 minutes. When Hart does put up shots, they’re typically high-percentage looks -- he’s sinking 67.2% of his two-point attempts this season and is a solid 37.0% from three-point land. The Pistons also check in at 24th versus starting small forwards this season so no issues with the match-up. Hart’s DFS ceiling could also rise if Jalen Brunson (shoulder/questionable) is ruled out.
PF/C Naz Reid, MIN | DK: $4.7k, FD: $5.8k | at WAS
Even though they’re not dealing with any major injury impacts, the Timberwolves have multiple cheaper options that are going to be worthy of DFS consideration. Naz Reid has been outstanding off of the bench recently, securing at least 28.25 DKFP/28.5 FDFP in six of his last seven games, and he has flirted with 40 FP on multiple occasions during that stretch. Reid should play anywhere from 22 to 30 minutes tonight and he should be able to rack up stats in a hurry against a Wizards team that ranks dead last versus backup centers.

SF/PF Cam Whitmore, HOU | DK: $3.8k, FD: $4.1k | vs. MEM
Pending further injury news, there isn’t much in the way of standout super cheap value on this slate, but Cam Whitmore is worth a look as he has seen some decent run off of the Rockets’ bench as of late. Whitmore is putting up quite a few shots in his generally limited minutes off of the bench, averaging 11.2 FGA/gm (24.7% USG%) across 21.4 Min/gm L5Games, and he has put up 20.7 DKFP/20.4 FDFP per game in that span as well. As noted, given their NBA-leading level of pace, the Grizzlies should provide the Rockets with some added possessions which could help Whitmore make the most of his limited minutes off of the bench. There may end up being more appealing cheap plays on this slate but, for now, I don’t believe you can go wrong with Whitmore in this spot.
Other Forwards to Consider
PF/C Jaren Jackson Jr., MEM at HOU (Boost if Morant is out)
SF/SG Amen Thompson, HOU vs. MEM
PF/C Julius Randle, MIN at WAS
PF/C Draymond Green, GSW at TOR (Currently questionable)
PF Santi Aldama, MEM at HOU
SF Jaden McDaniels, MIN at WAS
SF/SG Nickeil Alexander-Walker, MIN at WAS
DraftKings Main Slate Only
PF LeBron James, LAL vs. SAS
SF/PF Jaime Jaquez Jr., MIA at LAC
PF/C Nikola Jovic, MIA at LAC (Boost if B. Adebayo is out
Centers to Consider 🏀
C Karl-Anthony Towns, NYK | DK: $10k, FD: $10.2k | vs. DET
KAT has spent some time on the injury report as of late but, ultimately, he has only ended up sitting out for one game across the Knicks’ previous 17 contests. He’s off of the injury report entirely heading into tonight’s action, which is always a positive. Just as he has been for much of the season, Towns is dominating in a Knicks uniform and has put up at least 52.75 DKFP/51.1 FDFP in seven of his last eight games. The Pistons have been fairly strong against opposing centers, ranking 11th versus starting centers this season, but KAT did drop a 21/11/7 stat line (w/ two steals & a block) in just 27 minutes when these teams faced off back on Nov. 1st. So I’m not overly concerned about the match-up and only slightly concerned about the back-to-back factor (KAT did play 36 minutes yesterday).

C Rudy Gobert, MIN | DK: $5.2k, FD: $6.3k | at WAS
More of a “DraftKings preferred” play here, but Gobert still makes sense on FanDuel at $6,300, especially since the slate there is limited to only four games. Despite having some duds in recent weeks, $5,200 is simply too low of a price for Gobert, who is still fully capable of posting 40+ FP performances. He’s not going to put up many shots but he still brings plenty of double-double potential to the table. And it also isn’t as if he’s playing limited minutes lately either (32.6 Min/gm L5Games). The Wizards are allowing 38.4 DKFP/gm to starting centers L20Games and, if Gobert comes anywhere close to that sort of score, it’d obviously represent significant value on a $5,200 price point.
Other Centers to Consider
C Alperen Sengun, HOU vs. MEM
C Trayce Jackson-Davis, GSW at TOR
C Jalen Duren, DET at NYK
C Brandon Clarke, MEM at HOU
C Isaiah Stewart, DET at NYK
DraftKings Main Slate Only
C Victor Wembanyama, SAS at LAL
C Anthony Davis, LAL vs. SAS
C Ivica Zubac, LAC vs. MIA
C Kel’el Ware, MIA at LAC (Major boost if B. Adebayo is out)
