Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀
PG Cade Cunningham, DET | DK: $9.7k, FD: $10k | vs. POR
Cade Cunningham has led the Pistons to three straight wins in 2025 despite losing Jaden Ivey (leg) to injury. He shined in his last game with 40 points, nine assists, six rebounds, and 63.5 DKFP/60.7 FDFP on a monster 38.9% USG%. On the season, he’s averaging 1.43 FPPM with a strong 32.1% usage rate, which increases to 1.48 FPPM and 34.5% USG% without Ivey on the floor. Facing the Blazers (26th vs. Starting PGs L10Games), Cunningham is poised for another big performance as he captains the offense.
SG/SF Quentin Grimes, DAL | DK: $5.5k, FD: $5.6k | at MEM
The Mavs are operating without their superstar backcourt duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving -- both remain out tonight. Others will need to step up and, most recently, it was Quentin Grimes who poured in 26 points on a 25.0% USG% and 39.0 DKFP/38.4 FDFP in 33 minutes against the Cavs on Friday. Grimes has only taken on a 12.8% USG% this season, so the fact that he nearly doubled that in the previous game is a good sign that he should be viewed as a primary scoring option until Dallas gets one or both of their star guards back in the mix. Grimes has also averaged just over an FPPM in his L5Starts, and projects to play mid-30s minutes tonight. The Grizzlies are always a solid team to target given their fast pace (2nd in NBA) and, with Memphis dealing with several injuries of their own, the Mavs are only five-point underdogs in this one. This game also features the second-highest over/under of the slate at 231.5 points.
PG/SG Cole Anthony, ORL | DK: $4.9k, FD: $6.4k | at NYK
Anthony is a much better bargain on DraftKings where he is under $5k but, given his ability to have big games when he’s handed solid minutes, I wouldn’t be ruling him out at $6,400 on FanDuel either. The Magic are without their three best players -- Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, and Jalen Suggs. A couple of role players (Gary Harris and Mo Wagner) are also sidelined -- M. Wagner being out for the rest of the season with a ton ACL. With those five players off the floor, Anthony has raised his USG% by +5.1 percentage points and has averaged +6.3 more FP per 32 minutes. This isn’t a particularly sexy match-up between two teams that are bottom-10 in pace, resulting in a slate-low 210 over/under -- the Magic (+12) are also the largest underdogs on the slate. However, Cole Anthony will need a quality game and play for around 30 minutes if Orlando hopes to pull off the upset.
Other Guards to Consider
PG Jalen Brunson, NYK vs. ORL (Preferred if KAT is out)
PG Tyrese Maxey, PHI vs. PHX
PG Tyrese Haliburton, IND at BKN
PG Josh Giddey, CHI vs. SAS
PG Immanuel Quickley, TOR vs. MIL
PG Anfernee Simons, POR at DET
SG/SF Devin Vassell, SAS at CHI
PG/SG Keon Johnson, BKN vs. IND (Preferred if D. Russell is out)
PG Scoot Henderson, POR at DET
PG/SG AJ Green, MIL at TOR
SG/SF Gary Trent Jr., MIL at TOR (Preferred if starting)
Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀
PF/C Jaren Jackson Jr., MEM | DK: $9.1k, FD: $8.8k | vs. DAL
Much like last season, the Grizzlies just aren’t having much luck in the health department, and they’ll head into this game without the services of Ja Morant, Desmond Bane (doubtful), and Santi Aldama, among others. JJJ has stepped up lately, averaging 1.45 FPPM and over a 33% USG% across his last six games. Jackson’s DFS prices are on the rise, but he still has a strong floor and plenty of upsides at his current salaries, and the Mavs have ranked 23rd versus starting PFs L10Games.
SF/PF Deni Avdija, POR | DK: $6.6k, FD: $6.7k | at DET
Avdija has started the previous four games, mostly in place of the injured Jerami Grant (out again tonight), and, over his last six games he has upped his production to a sharp 1.18 FPPM. He’s coming off of back-to-back double-doubles and Avdija most recently played a whopping 43 minutes in Saturday’s 105-102 win over the Bucks. This should be a competitive game (POR +6) so Avdija could push for upwards of 40 minutes again, in which case he’ll set up as a great mid-range option once again.
PF Tobias Harris, DET | DK: $5.4k, FD: $6k | vs. POR
Harris began the season as a consistent floor play but ended the month of December in a fairly big slump. He has turned it up in the New Year, scoring no fewer than 32.5 DKFP/31.2 FDFP in each of his last three contests. Harris also played 34+ minutes in each of those games. His uptick in minutes and on-court production can likely be attributed to the Jaden Ivey injury, and now Ausar Thompson will also be missing this game due to an illness. So, by all indications, the veteran forward will continue to operate in an expanded role tonight.
Other Forwards to Consider
PF/C Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL at TOR
PF/C Kevin Durant, PHX at PHI
SF/PF Josh Hart, NYK vs. ORL
PF Pascal Siakam, IND at BKN
PF PJ Washington, DAL at MEM
SF/PF Jake LaRavia, MEM vs. DAL
SF/SG Toumani Camara, POR at DET
SF/PF Ryan Dunn, PHX at PHI
SF/PF Jett Howard, ORL at NYK
Centers to Consider 🏀
C Victor Wembanyama, SAS | DK: $11.1k, FD: $12k | at CHI
If there is one superstar who is capable of popping for 70+ FP tonight, it’s Victor Wembanyama in the ever-favorable Bulls match-up. Wemby is up to 1.77 FPPM L20Games and the Spurs, who rank 15th in pace, should have more possessions to work with in this major pace-up spot against the Bulls, who recently reclaimed their spot at 1st in the NBA in pace of play. The Bulls also check in at 27th in DEFRTG and are 29th versus starting centers L20Games. We’ll clearly want to target this game, given its slate-high 236.0 over/under and narrow spread (SAS -3), and Wemby simply checks off several boxes.
C Dereck Lively II, DAL | DK: $5.3k, FD: $6.3k | at MEM
Lively missed three games recently with a left hip contusion but he doesn’t seem to be working with any restrictions moving forward and he should push for around 30 minutes for the Luka/Kyrie-less Mavs tonight. Lively has averaged a strong 1.17 FPPM L5Games and popped for a 40.25 DKFP/38.7 DKFP performance against the Grizzlies back in early December. It’s a quality spot versus a Memphis frontcourt that has ranked 22nd versus starting centers L20Games.
Other Centers to Consider
C Ivica Zubac, LAC at MIN
C Jakob Poeltl, TOR vs. MIL
C Deandre Ayton, POR at DET
C Jalen Duren, DET vs. POR
PF/C Naz Reid, MIN vs. LAC
C Day’Ron Sharpe, BKN vs. IND
C Isaiah Stewart, DET vs. POR
