DFS Main Slate Rundown 📰
Every team in the NBA is hitting the hardwood today so it’s going to be a hectic Hump Day. Both DraftKings and FanDuel have elected to exclude the latest game of the night (MEM at LAC), which will bring the total main slate size down to 14 games… thanks, I guess? People either love or hate these gigantic slates and I wouldn’t blame anyone for taking the night off or playing light with their bankroll because there are a million moving parts to this one. With the All-Star Break fast approaching, many guys who could probably suit up, either tonight or in the coming days, will instead be held out until after the break. As a result, the injury report below reads like a short novel. If you’re putting your hard-earned dollars on the line tonight, make sure you’re around to catch all of the latest news that breaks both before the slate begins and throughout the evening leading up to the later games. Best of luck!

Main Slate Match-Ups w/ Game Totals & Point Spreads

Top DraftKings & FanDuel DFS Plays
Note: NBA position designations are never going to perfectly align between the major DFS sites. For the purposes of these newsletters, positional designations will default to DraftKings.
Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀
PG Steph Curry, GSW | DK: $8.9k, FD: $9k | at DAL
Is Steph back? After father time seemingly took its hold on Curry at different points throughout the season, he has looked to have turned back the clock in recent games. He has scored at least 32 points in four consecutive games while attempting an absurd 17.5 three-pointers per game in that stretch. He has also posted no lower than a 34.7% USG% in those four games and he’s averaging 1.44 FPPM. The newly acquired Jimmy Butler has now played in the last two games with the Warriors, but he seemingly hasn’t hurt Curry’s usage rate and, if anything, he helps take some of the defensive pressure away from him. Curry has also excelled in both previous meetings with the Mavs this season, averaging 58.1 DKFP/55.4 FDFP in those two games, and you have to love the narrative of playing against his former Splash Bro, Klay Thompson. The Mavs have ranked 28th versus starting PGs L10Games so Curry will once again look to land in a favorable spot.

SG/SF Christian Braun, DEN | DK: $6.3k, FD: $6.8k | vs. POR
Braun continues to shoot the ball at an incredibly efficient rate. He leads all non-centers with a 62.6% EFG% (effective field goal percentage) and he’s been even better at home where he has put up a 65.0% EFG%. He’s been a major reason for the Nuggets’ recent seven-game win streak and has now supplied at least 37.5 DKFP/38.2 FDFP in six of his last seven games as a starter. He has also played at least 36 minutes in five of his last six. We do have to keep the blowout factor in mind as Denver (-11.5) is one of the heaviest favorites on the slate. However, despite a 29-point margin of victory against the Trail Blazers just two days ago, Braun still logged 37 minutes and scored 38.0 DKFP/38.2 FDFP. Portland has also ranked 25th versus starting SGs L10Games so we should expect him to find similar success this evening. Michael Porter Jr. and Aaron Gordon are also both questionable to play tonight -- if either of those guys is out, there could be a few more shot opportunities for Braun.
PG/SG Dalano Banton, POR | DK: $4k, FD: $4.8k | at DEN
We should have more value options to choose from once some injury situations are cleared up but, for now, Dalano Banton looks like he should be on the radar as a cheap target. He logged 28 minutes on Monday, resulting in 34.75 DKFP/33.20 FDFP, and not all of his run came in garbage time. While he did play the entire fourth quarter, he also played around 12 minutes in the first half. That was also with Scoot Henderson playing most of the game -- Henderson, as well as Deandre Ayton, will be absent from the lineup tonight. While his playing time has been all over the place this season, Banton has been a strong per-minute scorer, averaging 1.10 FPPM on the year. Even if another blowout doesn’t come into play, Banton should play around 24 minutes tonight.
Other Guards to Consider
PG Cade Cunningham, DET at CHI
PG Trae Young, ATL at NYK (Young playing in MSG is always a great time)
PG/SG Anthony Edwards, MIN at MIL (Currently questionable)
PG Damian Lillard, MIL vs. MIN (Currently questionable)
PG Kyrie Irving, DAL vs. GSW
PG/SG CJ McCollum, NOP vs. SAC
PG/SG Anfernee Simons, POR at DEN
PG/SG Payton Pritchard, BOS vs. SAS (Boost if J. Brown is out)
SG/SF Malik Beasley, DET at CHI
PG/SG Brandin Podziemski, GSW at DAL
SG Klay Thompson, DAL vs. GSW
SG Buddy Hield, GSW at DAL
SG/SF Max Christie, DAL vs. GSW
PG Tyus Jones, PHX at HOU
SG/SF Nick Smith Jr., CHA at ORL
PG KJ Simpson, CHA at ORL (Preferred if starting)
PG/SG Jordan Goodwin, LAL at UTA
PG/SG Cameron Payne, NYK vs. ATL (Preferred if M. McBride is out)
Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀
SF/SG Trey Murphy III, NOP | DK: $8.2k, FD: $8.3k | vs. SAC
Despite the Pelicans’ struggles as a team, Murphy is amid an excellent stretch of basketball, averaging 31.2 PPG and 1.39 FPPM over his last six games. I don’t believe it’s a coincidence that essentially five of those games were played without the services of Dejounte Murray, who suffered a season-ending Achilles injury on January 31st. Murphy has seen a team-leading +4.62% USG% increase and +7.32 FP per 32-minute boost with Brandon Ingram (traded) and Dejounte Murray off the court this season. And the usage rate only climbs further when Zion Williamson (questionable) has been sidelined. The Kings have allowed the most FPPG to SF starters over their last 20 games and this game boasts a fairly close spread (NOP +5) as well as one of the highest totals of the day (238.5 O/U). If the Pelicans can keep this game competitive, or perhaps even find a way to snap their nine-game losing streak, it’ll be in large part due to a big night out of Murphy.

SF/PF Jimmy Butler, GSW | DK: $7.9k, FD: $8.1k | at DAL
Butler has meshed nicely with his new team. The Warriors have won both games with him in the lineup and Butler has posted fantasy point totals of 37.0 DKFP/38.4 FDFP (29 minutes) and 47.75 DKFP/50.8 FDFP (31 minutes). He’s clearly the secondary scoring option to Steph Curry and the Warriors play at a notably faster pace than his former Heat squad, leading to more chances for Butler to stuff the stat sheet. The Mavs have allowed the 4th most FPPG to PF starters L20Games and Butler went for 57.75 DKFP/58.8 FDFP against Dallas earlier this season. I’m not sure we can expect a similar performance tonight, but it certainly wouldn’t be a major surprise… especially if Butler continues to increase his minutes as he gels further with his new teammates.
PF Bol Bol, PHX | DK: $4.3k, FD: $4.9k | at HOU
If you were able to get Bol Bol into your lineups last night, or perhaps you already had him in, once it was announced that he’d be in the starting rotation, well… you probably had a profitable night! After receiving some increased run while Kevin Durant was out for three games, Bol erupted for 52.5 DKFP/53.8 FDFP across 30 minutes against the Grizzlies last night. The Suns will not be without several key pieces with Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, and Grayson Allen all ruled out for this evening’s contest. Durant, who is coming off of an ankle injury, also played 43 minutes last night, so the back-to-back factor may rear its ugly head for him. We’ll need to temper expectations for Bol as his FPPM average is at 1.09 for the season, and Houston is a tougher, slow-paced match-up. But he is still undoubtedly underpriced if he’s going to continue to start and play around 30 minutes.
Other Forwards to Consider
PF/C Kevin Durant, PHX at HOU
SF Franz Wagner, ORL at CHA
PF/C Evan Mobley, CLE at TOR
PF Pascal Siakam, IND at WAS
PF/C Naz Reid, MIN vs. MIL (Boost if A. Edwards is out)
SF DeMar DeRozan, SAC at NOP
SF/PF PJ Washington, DAL vs. GSW (Currently questionable)
PF/C John Collins, UTA vs. LAL
SF/PF Michael Porter Jr., DEN vs. POR (Currently questionable)
SF/PF Kyle Kuzma, MIL at MIN
SF/PF Rui Hachimura, LAL at UTA
PF Keegan Murray, SAC at NOP
SF/PF Ausar Thompson, DET at CHI
SF/PF Aaron Wiggins, OKC vs. MIA (Preferred if starting)
SF/SG Quentin Grimes, PHI at BKN
PF Kyshawn George, WAS vs. IND
SF/PG Moses Moody, GSW at DAL
PF/C Karlo Matkovic, NOP vs. SAC (Preferred if starting)
Centers to Consider 🏀
C Nikola Jokic, DEN | DK: $12.5k, FD: $12.9k | vs. POR
Finding value won’t be a problem on this monstrous slate so allocating a large chunk of salary toward Jokic doesn’t pose a challenge. Even if he doesn’t play his full minutes in the event of a blowout, Jokic just went for 67.25 DKFP/67.40 FDFP in 31 minutes versus Portland on Monday and didn’t play at all during the fourth quarter. While he’s in play virtually every slate, we do like taking the Joker when he’s at home. His best games tend to come on his home court. Also, while three-point shooting is just a small facet of his game, he’s sinking an incredible 50.5% of his threes at home this season. On paper, it’s a middling match-up (POR: 17th versus starting centers L20Games) but keep in mind that the Trail Blazers will be without Deandre Ayton tonight, so Jokic should be able to have his way in this game (as if he couldn’t already).

C Thomas Bryant, IND | DK: $5k, FD: $5.5k | at WAS
Bryant is going to be one of the highest-owned players on the slate but it’s hard to look past him given the price and match-up. With Myles Turner (neck/out) shut down until after the All-Star Break, Bryant will serve as the interim starter. For DFS purposes, Bryant has been very serviceable as a spot starter this season, averaging 15.5 PPG, 7.8 RPG, 2.5 APG, and 1.5 STL+BLK/gm in those contests. He’s been at 1.18 FPPM and produced 32.2 DKFP/32.6 FDFP per game as a starter as well, so it’s easy to see the 6x value (or better) potential here. And, of course, the matchup is outstanding as the Wizards have ranked dead last versus starting centers L20Games.
Other Centers to Consider
C Domantas Sabonis, SAC at NOP
C Karl-Anthony Towns, NYK vs. ATL
C Jalen Duren, DET at CHI
C Isaiah Hartenstein, OKC vs. MIA
C Jarrett Allen, CLE at TOR
C Donovan Clingan, POR at DEN (Only if starting)
C Steven Adams, HOU vs. PHX (Only if Sengun is out)
C Kylor Kelley, DAL vs. GSW (Only if starting)

DFS Main Slate Rundown 📰
It’s another busy day in the NBA. Eleven games reside on the Wednesday schedule -- DraftKings will exclude the two late games (PHX/OKC and ORL/SAC) from their main slate while FanDuel will feature the full menu. Trades continue to go down with the biggest move today involving the Bucks and Wizards trading Khris Middleton for Kyle Kuzma. The injury report is also a complete fiasco so keep those eyes and ears peeled for all the news that drops throughout the afternoon and evening! Let’s jump into the chaos!

PG/SG Jamal Murray, DEN | DK: $7.7k, FD: $8.3k | vs. NOP
The Nuggets lead the slate with a lofty 124.8 implied team total so the Denver studs will make plenty of sense today. Jamal Murray has been playing very well of late, averaging 1.21 FPPM L5Games and scoring at least 42.0 DKFP/44.0 FDFP in four of those last five games. He has secured 40+ FP in all three previous meetings with the Pelicans this season and, given their 29th-ranked DEFRTG and 29th-ranked DvP versus starting PGs L20Games, Murray’s expectations should be high once again this evening.
PG/SG Isaiah Collier, UTA | DK: $5.2k, FD: $5.2k | vs. GSW
Perhaps not the most exciting DFS play, but Isaiah Collier has provided some quality value in recent weeks, routinely returning 6x value at these low-$5k price points. Collier’s minutes and role should be more secure with Collin Sexton (ankle/out) expected to be sidelined for at least a week -- with Sexton only playing three minutes in Monday’s game, Collier went on to supply a point/assist double-double in 32 minutes versus the Pacers. Collier has also shot it significantly better at home this season with a 48.5% FG% versus a 32.6% FG% on the road. This may not be the best match-up but Collier did post a quality 12/6/9 stat line and 31.0 DKFP/28.7 FDFP against the Warriors just last Tuesday, and that was with Sexton active and putting up 30 points of his own.

SG Gradey Dick, TOR | DK: $4.2k, FD: $4.6k | vs. MEM
The Raptors will be shorthanded today with RJ Barrett, Jakob Poeltl, and Immanuel Quickley ruled out. Gradey Dick has seen a notable +4.5% USG% boost with those three players off the court this season along with a +5.8 FP per 32 minutes increase. Both teams in this game rank top 10 in pace, with Memphis ranking 1st in the NBA, so there will be plenty of possessions to go around. If the Raptors (+10.5) hope to pull off the upset, Gradey Dick will likely need to be heavily involved in the scoring.
Other Guards to Consider
PG Cade Cunningham, DET vs. CLE
PG Tyrese Maxey, PHI vs. MIA
PG/SG Anthony Edwards, MIN vs. CHI
SG/SF Trey Murphy III, NOP at DEN
PG Darius Garland, CLE at DET (Boost if D. Mitchell is out)
PG/SG Dyson Daniels, ATL vs. SAS
PG Josh Giddey, CHI at MIN
PG Jordan Poole, WAS at BKN
PG Keyonte George, UTA vs. GSW
SG/SF Bilal Coulibaly, WAS at BKN
SG/SF Christian Braun, DEN vs. NOP
PG/SG Keon Johnson, BKN vs. WAS
PG Ty Jerome, CLE at DET (Preferred if D. Mitchell is out)
PG Jamal Shead, TOR vs. MEM
FanDuel Main Slate Only
SG/SF Devin Booker, PHX at OKC
PG/SG Malik Monk, SAC vs. ORL
PG/SG Cole Anthony, ORL at SAC
Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀
PF/C Jaren Jackson Jr., MEM | DK: $8.3k, FD: $8.7k | at TOR
Over the last two games, JJJ has led the Grizzlies in scoring, with 31 and 37 points, as well as usage rate, with 31.8% USG% and 43.8% USG%. One of those games was without Ja Morant, but the other was without Desmond Bane, who will be out once again tonight. For a big man, Jackson is not a very prolific rebounder, but he can rack up multiple blocks and steals on any given night and he’ll draw a strong individual match-up. The Raptors have ranked 27th versus starting PFs L20Games and when these teams met in late December, Jackson dropped 50.25 DKFP/49.2 FDFP. I believe we can get a similar result out of him this evening.

SF/PF Michael Porter Jr., DEN | DK: $6.4k, FD: $6.6k | vs. NOP
MPJ has mostly been a solid floor play throughout this season but he erupted for 36 points and 52.75 DKFP/49.4 FDFP against this same Pelicans team on Monday. I believe the Peyton Watson (knee/out) injury is a bit underrated in regards to Porter’s role. Watson has been a key piece off of the Nuggets’ bench this season and, with Watson sidelined the last two games, Porter has played 40+ minutes in each contest. We can’t expect a repeat performance from Monday but I’d say 40+ FP is well within Porter’s wheelhouse tonight.
PF Matas Buzelis, CHI | DK: $4k, FD: $4.2k | at MIN
The Bulls took Buzelis with the 11th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. With Zach LaVine shipped off to the Kings and none of the recently acquired players (Kevin Huerter, Zach Collins, Tre Jones) ready to make their Chicago debut, Buzelis will have a chance to continue playing in an expanded role. He logged a season-high 31 minutes off of the bench in last night’s game versus the Heat and went on to score 24 points and 32.0 DKFP/31.4 FDFP. Buzelis has averaged a respectable 0.92 FPPM L5Games and, should he flirt with 30 minutes again tonight, he’ll be a great bet to return some nice value.
Other Forwards to Consider
PF/C Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL at CHA
SF/PG Scottie Barnes, TOR vs. MEM
PF/C Evan Mobley, CLE at DET (Boost if D. Mitchell is out)
PF/C John Collins, UTA vs. GSW
PF/C Naz Reid, MIN vs. CHI
PF/C Guerschon Yabusele, PHI vs. MIA
SF/PF Zaccharie Risacher, ATL vs. SAS
SF/PF Justin Edwards, PHI vs. MIA
SF/SG Corey Kispert, WAS at BKN
SF/PF Gregory Jackson, MEM at TOR
SF/PF Justin Champagnie WAS at BKN (Preferred if starting)
SF/SG Ja’Kobe Walter, TOR vs. MEM (Preferred if starting)
FanDuel Main Slate Only
PF/SF Paolo Banchero, ORL at SAC
SF/SG Grayson Allen, PHX at OKC
Centers to Consider 🏀
C Rudy Gobert, MIN | DK: $6.8k, FD: $6.9k | vs. CHI
Gobert continues to play some of his best basketball of the season following a 19/13/3 (plus two blocks and a steal) stat line against the Kings on Monday. He has now scored at least 37.0 DKFP/36.5 FDFP in five of his last six games, including three games of at least 47.25 DKFP/48.1 FDFP in that span. Gobert has averaged +4.6 FP per 32 minutes with Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo (both out) off the floor this season and, as always, the Bulls represent an elite match-up for opposing centers, ranking 29th against the position this season. Gobert’s DFS salaries are on the up and up but there’s still some real upside at his sub-$7k price points.

C Kelly Olynyk, TOR | DK: $3.3k, FD: $4k | vs. MEM
There is some pretty clear value here with Kelly Olynyk expected to start in place of the injured Jakob Poeltl. In his only other start this season, which also came against the Grizzlies in late December, Olynyk averaged 1.20 FPPM and scored 27.75 DKFP/25.50 FDFP. Olynyk only played 23 minutes in that game but I believe he could get closer to 26-28 minutes as the starter tonight. Either way, he won’t have to do much to pay off these bottom-of-the-barrel salaries tonight.
Other Centers to Consider
C Nikola Jokic, DEN vs. NOP
C Victor Wembanyama, SAS at ATL
C Mark Williams, CHA vs. MIL
C Jalen Duren, DET vs. CLE
C Kel’el Ware, MIA at PHI
C Zach Edey, MEM at TOR
C Kevon Looney, GSW at UTA
C Quinten Post, GSW at UTA
FanDuel Main Slate Only
C/PF Domantas Sabonis, SAC vs. ORL
C Isaiah Hartenstein, OKC vs. PHX
