DFS Main Slate Rundown 📰
We’ve got a quality Monday slate ahead with seven games over on DraftKings and, with the inclusion of the lone late game (CHA at SAC), there will be eight games on the FanDuel main slate. There are plenty of even matchups with five games owning a spread of five points or lower. And we’ve got some big totals on the board, too. Overall, it’s shaping up to be a solid night of basketball so let’s dive in! Best of luck!

Top DraftKings & FanDuel DFS Plays
Note: NBA position designations are never going to perfectly align between the major DFS sites. For the purposes of these newsletters, positional designations will default to DraftKings.
Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀
PG James Harden, LAC | DK: $9.7k, FD: $9.4k | at DET
We have to assume that it’s going to be another busy night for James Harden as the Clippers are set to be without Norman Powell, Kawhi Leonard, and Ben Simmons. With those three players off the court this season, Harden has taken on a team-leading +6.8% USG% boost. He has also put up a couple of massive performances recently, scoring at least 67.5 DKFP/65.9 FDFP in two of his last three games -- Leonard was out for both of those games while Powell was sidelined in one. The matchup isn’t great, and the Clippers are on the second leg of a back-to-back (Harden played 35 minutes yesterday), but so are the Pistons, who are coming off a 148-143 track-meet victory against the Hawks.
PG Keyonte George, UTA | DK: $6.5k, FD: $6.4k | vs. POR
The Jazz should be running a short rotation tonight as Walker Kessler, Lauri Markkanen, John Collins, Jordan Clarkson, and Collin Sexton are all getting the night off for one reason or another. Even with all of these injuries, I would not expect Keyonte George to enter the starting lineup (though it is a possibility), but that is perfectly fine. He has put up plenty of big games since moving to a bench role in late January, and he is typically closing games with most of the starters in the fourth quarter. George is averaging 32.4 Min/gm and 1.16 FPPM over his L5Games and is coming off of a huge 30/8/6 performance against the Rockets on Saturday, resulting in 51.0 DKFP/47.6 FDFP. I have no complaints about the matchup as the Trailblazers have ranked 29th versus bench PGs this season and have allowed the 2nd most FPPG to reserves L20Games. We’ll also like the fact that George is at home tonight, where he often has his best games. George has posted at least 36.25 DKFP/33.60 FDFP in five of his last six home games, and that sample size also includes four games of at least 44.25 DKFP/39.10 FDFP. And we can certainly count on a sizable uptick in his usage tonight given the amount of key players that are sidelined for Utah. Overall, he’s going to make plenty of sense out of the mid-$6k range.

PG Killian Hayes, BKN | DK: $4.1k, FD: $4k | at WAS
Here’s a name we haven’t heard from in a while. Killian Hayes signed a 10-day contract with the Nets last Wednesday and should be expected to start at point guard tonight with D’Angelo Russell on the shelf with an ankle injury. You probably recall that Hayes played his first four NBA seasons with the Detroit Pistons, where he made 145 starts in 210 games, so he has plenty of experience as a starter. He wasn’t exactly a great player during his Detroit tenure, but for the purposes of DFS, he is going to be a serviceable option at these low-end price points. Hayes has now played in two games with the Nets and made his first start with the team on Saturday against the 76ers where he played 27 minutes and posted 18.0 DKFP/17.8 FDFP. That performance was nothing to write home about, but he gets a better matchup tonight against the Wizards (4th in pace, 29th in DEFRTG, 25th vs. Starting PGs), and Hayes could push for 30+ minutes now that he has had a couple of games to find his bearings with his new team. The Nets have very little point guard depth behind the projected starters as Reece Beekman is the only other true PG on the roster, and he has only averaged 10.0 Min/gm in 23 games this season.
Other Guards to Consider
PG Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OKC vs. MIN
PG Trae Young, ATL vs. MIA
PG/SG Anthony Edwards, MIN at OKC
PG Tyler Herro, MIA at ATL
PG/SG Jamal Murray, DEN at IND
PG Josh Giddey, CHI at PHI
SG Dyson Daniels, ATL vs. MIA
PG/SG Anfernee Simons, POR at UTA
PG Isaiah Collier, UTA vs. POR
SG Quinten Grimes, PHI vs. CHI (Boost if Maxey is out)
SG/SF Toumani Camara, POR at UTA
PG/SG Keon Johnson, BKN at WAS
PG/SG Kris Dunn, LAC at DET
SG Kevin Huerter, CHI at PHI
PG Jared Butler, PHI vs. CHI (Only if Maxey is out - Preferred if starting)
FanDuel Main Slate Only
SG/SF Zach LaVine, SAC vs. CHA
Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀
PF/C Naz Reid, MIN | DK: $7.9k, FD: $8.1k | at OKC
There aren’t many studs at the forward positions today but Naz Reid is one guy who has been playing at a star level. He has made a legitimate case to hang on to his starting role even when Julius Randle (groin/out) is able to return, which may be later this week. Reid has stuffed the stat sheet as a starter and has scored at least 40.5 DKFP/37.6 FDFP in eight of his last nine games. With Julius Randle, Rudy Gobert, and Donte DiVincenzo (all out) off the floor this season, Reid has averaged +8.7 FP per 32 minutes. These two teams just met last night, with the Thunder pulling off the 130-123 victory. Despite OKC’s tremendous defense (1st in DEFRTG), Reid has still feasted against them in both games as a starter this season, putting up 48.75 DKFP/48.20 FDFP against them last night and 60.0 DKFP/57.3 FDFP against them in the recent Feb. 13th matchup. The Thunder will also be without Chet Holmgren on the back-to-back, which is just one less rim protector and tall rebounder that Reid will have to deal with. Reid did log a heavy workload with 40 minutes played last night, and the team did have to travel to OKC after their game in Minnesota last night. But Reid has shown very little in the way of negative effects on back-to-backs this season so, as long as the Timberwolves (+12 underdogs) keep this game close, as they did last night, we’ll bank on another big performance out of him.

SF/PF Deni Avdija, POR | DK: $6.3k, FD: $7k | at UTA
Avdija has had some head-scratchingly poor performances recently, which have typically been tied to low minutes, but he should be firmly on the DFS radar today thanks to his upside in combination with an elite matchup. The Jazz continue to rank dead last in DEFRTG and check in at 28th versus starting SFs L5Games. Utah may also be rolling with a frontcourt that consists of guys like Micah Potter, KJ Martin, and Kyle Filipowski… not exactly a star-studded group of players. As long as the minutes are there, Avdija will be in a great spot and could put up similar numbers to his last game against the Jazz which resulted in a 27/8/6 stat line and 50.0 DKFP/49.6 FDFP.
PF Georges Niang, ATL | DK: $4.3k, FD: $4.5k | vs. MIA
Niang has seen a sizable uptick in playing time since joining the Hawks ahead of the trade deadline. He has averaged 21.3 Min/gm this season, which, of course, was mostly with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but he has logged at least 24 minutes in all five games in a Hawks uniform, including 34+ minutes in two of his last three games. In those two ‘big minute’ games, Niang popped for 41.25 DKFP/38.50 FDFP and 38.5 DKFP/39.3 FDFP. And it’s worth noting that Niang has closed every game with the starters in the fourth quarter since coming over to Atlanta. Mouhamed Gueye has been getting the starts at power forward for the Hawks lately, but with Jalen Johnson’s season cut short due to a shoulder injury, Niang appears to be the primary power forward, and he draws a positive matchup as the Heat have ranked 28th versus reserve PFs L20Games.
Other Forwards to Consider
PF/C Bam Adebayo, MIA at ATL
PF Pascal Siakam, IND vs. DEN
SF Andrew Wiggins, MIA at ATL
SF/PF Cameron Johnson, BKN at WAS
SF/PF Ausar Thompson, DET vs. LAC
SF/SG Kelly Oubre Jr., PHI vs. CHI (Boost if Maxey is out)
PF/C Aaron Gordon, DEN at IND
PF Jerami Grant, POR at UTA
PF/C Guerschon Yabusele, PHI vs. CHI
PF/C Trendon Watford, BKN at WAS
SF/PF Zaccharie Risacher, ATL vs. MIA
PF/C Obi Toppin, IND vs. DEN
PF/C Jabari Walker, POR at UTA
SF/PF Brice Sensabaugh, UTA vs. POR (Only if starting)
SF/SG Svi Mykhailiuk, UTA vs. POR (Only if starting)
SF/SF Aaron Nesmith, IND vs. DEN
FanDuel Main Slate Only
SF/PF Miles Bridges, CHA at SAC
Centers to Consider 🏀
C Nikola Jokic, DEN | DK: $12k, FD: $12.8k | at IND
There is ample value on this slate so getting the luxury spend-up on Jokic shouldn’t pose much of an issue. As he is on pretty much any slate, he brings the highest floor and ceiling to DFS lineups. While he still provided another triple-double, Jokic is coming off of a poor performance (by his sky-high standards) against the Luka-LeBron Lakers on Saturday, scoring ‘just’ 46.75 DKFP/39.60 FDFP. Jokic doesn’t typically have two duds in a row so expect one of his usual 60-70 FP games tonight. It’s a fairly decent match-up as the Pacers have allowed the 11th most FPPG to starting centers L20Games and are also playing on the second leg of a back-to-back.

C Kyle Filipowski, UTA | DK: $4.6k, FD: $4.5k | vs. POR
Filipowski is setting up to be the go-to cheap center on this slate. So he’ll be very chalky but will have a strong chance to pay off these mid-$4k salaries given the lack of frontcourt depth available for the Jazz tonight. Filipowski has averaged a respectable 0.94 FPPM in his L5Games as a starter and has put up 34.5 DKFP/30.0 FDFP and 30.0 DKFP/28.1 FDFP in his previous two starts, both against the Clippers. This sets up as a much better matchup as the Trailblazers have ranked 25th versus starting centers L5Games and will be without a couple of their centers (Deandre Ayton and Robert Williams) tonight. Considering the only other healthy center on the Jazz roster is Oscar Tshiebwe, Filipowski should receive around 30 minutes of action this evening.
Other Centers to Consider
C Ivica Zubac, LAC at DET
C Onyeka Okongwu, ATL vs. MIA
C Nic Claxton, BKN at WAS
C Richaun Holmes, WAS vs. BKN (Only if A. Sarr is out)
C Day’Ron Sharpe, BKN at WAS
C Zach Collins, CHI at PHI
FanDuel Main Slate Only
C/PF Domantas Sabonis, SAC vs. CHA
C Moussa Diabate, CHA at SAC

DFS Main Slate Rundown 📰
It’s another busy day in the NBA. Eleven games reside on the Wednesday schedule -- DraftKings will exclude the two late games (PHX/OKC and ORL/SAC) from their main slate while FanDuel will feature the full menu. Trades continue to go down with the biggest move today involving the Bucks and Wizards trading Khris Middleton for Kyle Kuzma. The injury report is also a complete fiasco so keep those eyes and ears peeled for all the news that drops throughout the afternoon and evening! Let’s jump into the chaos! Best of luck!

Top DraftKings & FanDuel DFS Plays
Note: NBA position designations are never going to perfectly align between the major DFS sites. For the purposes of these newsletters, positional designations will default to DraftKings.
Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀
PG/SG Jamal Murray, DEN | DK: $7.7k, FD: $8.3k | vs. NOP
The Nuggets lead the slate with a lofty 124.8 implied team total so the Denver studs will make plenty of sense today. Jamal Murray has been playing very well of late, averaging 1.21 FPPM L5Games and scoring at least 42.0 DKFP/44.0 FDFP in four of those last five games. He has secured 40+ FP in all three previous meetings with the Pelicans this season and, given their 29th-ranked DEFRTG and 29th-ranked DvP versus starting PGs L20Games, Murray’s expectations should be high once again this evening.
PG/SG Isaiah Collier, UTA | DK: $5.2k, FD: $5.2k | vs. GSW
Perhaps not the most exciting DFS play, but Isaiah Collier has provided some quality value in recent weeks, routinely returning 6x value at these low-$5k price points. Collier’s minutes and role should be more secure with Collin Sexton (ankle/out) expected to be sidelined for at least a week -- with Sexton only playing three minutes in Monday’s game, Collier went on to supply a point/assist double-double in 32 minutes versus the Pacers. Collier has also shot it significantly better at home this season with a 48.5% FG% versus a 32.6% FG% on the road. This may not be the best match-up but Collier did post a quality 12/6/9 stat line and 31.0 DKFP/28.7 FDFP against the Warriors just last Tuesday, and that was with Sexton active and putting up 30 points of his own.

SG Gradey Dick, TOR | DK: $4.2k, FD: $4.6k | vs. MEM
The Raptors will be shorthanded today with RJ Barrett, Jakob Poeltl, and Immanuel Quickley ruled out. Gradey Dick has seen a notable +4.5% USG% boost with those three players off the court this season along with a +5.8 FP per 32 minutes increase. Both teams in this game rank top 10 in pace, with Memphis ranking 1st in the NBA, so there will be plenty of possessions to go around. If the Raptors (+10.5) hope to pull off the upset, Gradey Dick will likely need to be heavily involved in the scoring.
Other Guards to Consider
PG Cade Cunningham, DET vs. CLE
PG Tyrese Maxey, PHI vs. MIA
PG/SG Anthony Edwards, MIN vs. CHI
SG/SF Trey Murphy III, NOP at DEN
PG Darius Garland, CLE at DET (Boost if D. Mitchell is out)
PG/SG Dyson Daniels, ATL vs. SAS
PG Josh Giddey, CHI at MIN
PG Jordan Poole, WAS at BKN
PG Keyonte George, UTA vs. GSW
SG/SF Bilal Coulibaly, WAS at BKN
SG/SF Christian Braun, DEN vs. NOP
PG/SG Keon Johnson, BKN vs. WAS
PG Ty Jerome, CLE at DET (Preferred if D. Mitchell is out)
PG Jamal Shead, TOR vs. MEM
FanDuel Main Slate Only
SG/SF Devin Booker, PHX at OKC
PG/SG Malik Monk, SAC vs. ORL
PG/SG Cole Anthony, ORL at SAC
Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀
PF/C Jaren Jackson Jr., MEM | DK: $8.3k, FD: $8.7k | at TOR
Over the last two games, JJJ has led the Grizzlies in scoring, with 31 and 37 points, as well as usage rate, with 31.8% USG% and 43.8% USG%. One of those games was without Ja Morant, but the other was without Desmond Bane, who will be out once again tonight. For a big man, Jackson is not a very prolific rebounder, but he can rack up multiple blocks and steals on any given night and he’ll draw a strong individual match-up. The Raptors have ranked 27th versus starting PFs L20Games and when these teams met in late December, Jackson dropped 50.25 DKFP/49.2 FDFP. I believe we can get a similar result out of him this evening.

SF/PF Michael Porter Jr., DEN | DK: $6.4k, FD: $6.6k | vs. NOP
MPJ has mostly been a solid floor play throughout this season but he erupted for 36 points and 52.75 DKFP/49.4 FDFP against this same Pelicans team on Monday. I believe the Peyton Watson (knee/out) injury is a bit underrated in regards to Porter’s role. Watson has been a key piece off of the Nuggets’ bench this season and, with Watson sidelined the last two games, Porter has played 40+ minutes in each contest. We can’t expect a repeat performance from Monday but I’d say 40+ FP is well within Porter’s wheelhouse tonight.
PF Matas Buzelis, CHI | DK: $4k, FD: $4.2k | at MIN
The Bulls took Buzelis with the 11th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. With Zach LaVine shipped off to the Kings and none of the recently acquired players (Kevin Huerter, Zach Collins, Tre Jones) ready to make their Chicago debut, Buzelis will have a chance to continue playing in an expanded role. He logged a season-high 31 minutes off of the bench in last night’s game versus the Heat and went on to score 24 points and 32.0 DKFP/31.4 FDFP. Buzelis has averaged a respectable 0.92 FPPM L5Games and, should he flirt with 30 minutes again tonight, he’ll be a great bet to return some nice value.
Other Forwards to Consider
PF/C Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL at CHA
SF/PG Scottie Barnes, TOR vs. MEM
PF/C Evan Mobley, CLE at DET (Boost if D. Mitchell is out)
PF/C John Collins, UTA vs. GSW
PF/C Naz Reid, MIN vs. CHI
PF/C Guerschon Yabusele, PHI vs. MIA
SF/PF Zaccharie Risacher, ATL vs. SAS
SF/PF Justin Edwards, PHI vs. MIA
SF/SG Corey Kispert, WAS at BKN
SF/PF Gregory Jackson, MEM at TOR
SF/PF Justin Champagnie WAS at BKN (Preferred if starting)
SF/SG Ja’Kobe Walter, TOR vs. MEM (Preferred if starting)
FanDuel Main Slate Only
PF/SF Paolo Banchero, ORL at SAC
SF/SG Grayson Allen, PHX at OKC
Centers to Consider 🏀
C Rudy Gobert, MIN | DK: $6.8k, FD: $6.9k | vs. CHI
Gobert continues to play some of his best basketball of the season following a 19/13/3 (plus two blocks and a steal) stat line against the Kings on Monday. He has now scored at least 37.0 DKFP/36.5 FDFP in five of his last six games, including three games of at least 47.25 DKFP/48.1 FDFP in that span. Gobert has averaged +4.6 FP per 32 minutes with Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo (both out) off the floor this season and, as always, the Bulls represent an elite match-up for opposing centers, ranking 29th against the position this season. Gobert’s DFS salaries are on the up and up but there’s still some real upside at his sub-$7k price points.

C Kelly Olynyk, TOR | DK: $3.3k, FD: $4k | vs. MEM
There is some pretty clear value here with Kelly Olynyk expected to start in place of the injured Jakob Poeltl. In his only other start this season, which also came against the Grizzlies in late December, Olynyk averaged 1.20 FPPM and scored 27.75 DKFP/25.50 FDFP. Olynyk only played 23 minutes in that game but I believe he could get closer to 26-28 minutes as the starter tonight. Either way, he won’t have to do much to pay off these bottom-of-the-barrel salaries tonight.
Other Centers to Consider
C Nikola Jokic, DEN vs. NOP
C Victor Wembanyama, SAS at ATL
C Mark Williams, CHA vs. MIL
C Jalen Duren, DET vs. CLE
C Kel’el Ware, MIA at PHI
C Zach Edey, MEM at TOR
C Kevon Looney, GSW at UTA
C Quinten Post, GSW at UTA

C/PF Domantas Sabonis, SAC vs. ORL
C Isaiah Hartenstein, OKC vs. PHX
