DFS Main Slate Rundown 📰

We’re back in action with a healthy seven-game NBA slate tonight. The board gives us a mix of competitive matchups and potential blowouts – four games carry spreads under five points while the remaining three sit in double digits.

Injuries will once again shape roster construction, but the overall situation looks fairly manageable. By my count, there are only five or six questionable players who would meaningfully impact rotations if they sit. Interestingly, there are no “probable” or “doubtful” tags on the board tonight – players have either already been ruled out or carry a true Q-tag

It should be a fun slate to break down, so let’s dive in and see what we can put together. Best of luck!

Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀

PG/SG Devin Booker, PHX | DK: $8.7k, FD: $9k | at MIL

With Dillon Brooks (hand) sidelined, Booker has stepped into an even larger offensive role, producing 47.5 and 49.75 DKFP in his last two games. His usage rate sits at 28.6% with Brooks off the floor this season and has climbed to 33.9% over his last five contests, showcasing the increased offensive responsibility. The matchup also looks favorable, as Milwaukee ranks 27th in DvP versus starting shooting guards over their last 20 games and has allowed the second-most FPPG to the position in that span. While the total in this game isn’t particularly high at 218.5 points, it does carry the tightest spread on the slate with Phoenix listed as a 1.5-point road favorite, which should help keep Booker on the floor for heavy minutes. At these price points, he looks slightly underpriced for the role and upside he brings in this spot.

SG/SF Dyson Daniels, ATL | DK: $6.5k, FD: $7.2k | vs. DAL

The Hawks are riding a six-game winning streak and have pushed themselves firmly into the Eastern Conference playoff picture as a result. Dyson Daniels has been a key contributor during this stretch and stands out as an appealing mid-range option tonight. He has never been a high-usage player, but his strong peripherals and defensive stats consistently help stabilize his DFS floor. Over his last five games, while averaging just 12.0 PPG, he has also posted 7.4 RPG, 6.4 APG, and 3.2 STL+BLK per game, translating to 1.24 FPPM and 37.7 DKFP per contest.

Atlanta’s recent run has included several comfortable blowout wins, which has kept Daniels’ minutes slightly suppressed at 30.4 per game during that span. Tonight’s matchup with Dallas does carry a 10.5-point spread (in favor of ATL), but it also owns the highest total on the slate at 241.5 points, and Daniels has averaged 38.4 DKFP in games where Atlanta has been a sizable favorite. The matchup itself is also favorable, as Dallas has slipped to 22nd in defensive rating over their last ten games and ranks dead last in DvP versus shooting guards across their last 20.

PG/SG Marcus Sasser, DET | DK: $3.6k, FD: $3.9k | at BKN

Sasser shapes up as one of the better punt options on the slate with Ausar Thompson (ankle) sidelined. He’s expected to make his third straight start, and Caris LeVert (wrist) will also remain out, leaving Detroit a bit thin in the backcourt. With both Thompson and LeVert off the floor this season, Sasser has posted a solid 20.9% usage rate while producing 1.01 FPPM. His last outing against Miami was quiet, but he did flash the upside in his first start with 27.75 DKFP in 29 minutes against this same Brooklyn team (worth noting that Cade Cunningham was also out for that game). He’s currently projected for around 24 minutes tonight, though there is a realistic path toward the 28–30-minute range if the game stays competitive and Sasser remains an active contributor. The matchup helps as well, with Brooklyn ranking 27th in defensive rating this season while also playing on the second leg of a back-to-back. At a sub-$4k price point on both sites, Sasser stands out as one of the strongest value options at the guard position.

Other Guards to Consider

SG/SF Jaylen Brown, BOS at SAS

PG Ryan Rollins, MIL vs. PHX

PG Amen Thompson, HOU vs. TOR

PG/SG Tyler Herro, MIA vs. WAS (Questionable)

PG Ty Jerome, MEM at PHI

PG/SG Quentin Grimes, PHI vs. MEM

PG De’Aaron Fox, SAS vs. BOS

PG Collin Gillespie, PHX at MIL (Preferred if Allen is out)

PG Javon Small, MEM at PHI (Only if he starts again)

PG/SG Cameron Payne, PHI vs. MEM (Preferred if Edgecombe is out)

PG/SG Dylan Harper, SAS vs. BOS

PG Kasparas Jakucionis, MIA vs. WAS (Boost if Herro is out)

PG Dru Smith, MIA vs. WAS (Boost if Herro is out)

SG Drake Powell, BKN vs. DET (Only if he starts again)

Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀

PF Jalen Johnson, ATL | DK: $10.5k, FD: $11.3k | vs. DAL

Johnson continues to produce at an elite level and, after a couple of down games following a minor hip injury, he enters tonight on the heels of a 35/10/7 performance against Philadelphia that resulted in 62 DKFP. The Most Improved Player frontrunner has taken a massive leap this season, averaging 1.50 FPPM while stuffing the stat sheet across every category. That all-around production has translated into consistent ceiling games, with Johnson clearing 56 DKFP in eight of his last 12 outings. Both Atlanta and Dallas rank top-five in pace, and the game carries the slate’s highest total at 241.5 points. This matchup also provides Johnson with an elite individual matchup. Dallas has been particularly vulnerable to opposing power forwards lately, ranking dead last in DvP versus the position over their last 20 games while allowing the most FPPG. Johnson has put up 11 triple-doubles this season, and a game environment like this is exactly where his all-around production tends to spike.

SF Jaime Jaquez Jr., MIA | DK: $6.2k, FD: $6.2k | vs. WAS

Jaquez continues to play a significant role for Miami’s second unit and has been producing steadily with Norman Powell sidelined. He has scored at least 30.5 DKFP in four straight games and is coming off a 39 DKFP outing against Detroit’s second-ranked defense. His efficiency has also ticked up recently, as he’s averaging 1.19 FPPM over his last four contests while handling increased responsibility off the bench.

The Heat remain thin across multiple spots with Powell, Andrew Wiggins, and Kel’el Ware all out, while Tyler Herro remains questionable. That should lock in Jaquez for around 30 minutes tonight. The matchup is also excellent, as Washington ranks dead last in defensive rating and sits 28th in DvP versus bench forwards over their last 20 games. At $6,200 on both sites, Jaquez stands out as a strong mid-range option with a realistic path toward another 35–40 DKFP performance.

PF Simone Fontecchio, MIA | DK: $3.3k, FD: $3.8k | vs. WAS

Sticking with the Miami reserves, Simone Fontecchio should see solid run off the bench for the shorthanded Heat tonight. He has missed the last three games with a groin injury but is off the injury report entirely today and is currently projected for around 20 minutes. Fontecchio has averaged a steady 1.04 FPPM over his last 20 games in a bench role, and the matchup couldn’t be much better against Washington’s league-worst defense. As noted in the Jaquez spotlight above, the Wizards have also struggled against reserve forwards, and Fontecchio could pick up a few extra minutes if this game leans toward a blowout, as the current spread (MIA -16.5) suggests.

Other Forwards to Consider

SF/PG Cooper Flagg, DAL at ATL

SF Michael Porter Jr., BKN vs. DET

SF/SG Jalen Green, PHX at MIL

PF Gregory “GG” Jackson, MEM at PHI

SF/PF Jonathan Kuminga, ATL vs. DAL (Questionable)

SF/PF Bilal Coulibaly, WAS at MIA

SF/PF Julian Champagnie, SAS vs. BOS

SF Jaylen Wells, MEM at PHI

PF/C Danny Wolf, BKN vs. DET

SF Rayan Rupert, MEM at PHI

PF Myron Gardner, MIA vs. WAS

Centers to Consider 🏀

C Bam Adebayo, MIA | DK: $8.4k, FD: $8.6k | vs. WAS

With the Heat down multiple starters and key contributors, Adebayo stands out as one of the stronger spend-up options on the slate in a premium matchup against Washington. Against this awful Wizards defense, Miami boasts the highest implied team total on the board at 127.5 points. Washington has struggled specifically against centers, allowing the second-most FPPG to starting centers over their last 20 games.

Adebayo has also just been playing excellent basketball recently, averaging 24.2 PPG, 10.3 RPG, 3.3 APG, and 2.5 STL+BLK over his last six games while producing 48.4 DKFP/gm and 1.42 FPPM during that span. The only real concern here is the potential for a blowout with Miami favored by 16.5 points, but Adebayo has shown he can pile up fantasy production quickly and still carries clear 50-DKFP upside in this spot even if he doesn’t handle full minutes.

C Khaman Maluach, PHX | DK: $3.4k, FD: $3.9k | at MIL

With Mark Williams (foot) set to miss his fourth straight game, Maluach should continue to hold a steady role off the bench for Phoenix. The rookie has logged 20 minutes in each of the last two contests and turned those opportunities into 19.5 and 19.25 DKFP. Phoenix selected Maluach with the No. 10 pick in last year’s draft, and he has shown solid per-minute production so far, averaging 0.99 FPPM across his last 20 games.

A substantial portion of his recent production has come from defensive stats, as Maluach has recorded seven total blocks over his last two games. That does add some volatility if those numbers regress, but the minutes should still give him a reasonable path to value. If he lands around the 20-minute range again, Maluach has a good chance to return solid point-per-dollar production at these rock-bottom price points against a Milwaukee defense that ranks 24th in rating this season.

Other Centers to Consider

C Victor Wembanyama, SAS vs. BOS

C Jalen Duren, DET at BKN

C Neemias Queta, BOS at SAS

C Jakob Poeltl, TOR at HOU (Questionable)

C Nic Claxton, BKN vs. DET

C Sandro Mamukelashvili, TOR at HOU (Preferred if Poeltl is out)

C Julian Reese, WAS at ATL
