DFS Main Slate Rundown 📰

Wednesday brings us a solid six-game main slate. Unlike many slates on DraftKings and FanDuel this season, tonight’s main slate includes every game on the schedule and stretches into the late West Coast contests. Four games tip off at 9:00 ET or later, and the first game doesn’t lock until 7:30 ET, so we’ll have a bit more time than usual to get our slate approach locked in.

From a matchup standpoint, this slate looks fairly balanced. Four games carry spreads under eight points, while three totals sit north of 230, providing a few appealing spots for potential production. We won’t see another 83-point explosion like the one Bam Adebayo delivered last night, but there are still plenty of intriguing situations to break down. Let’s dive in and see what stands out. Best of luck!

Today’s Key Injuries 🚑

Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀

PG Jamal Murray, DEN | DK: $8.4k, FD: $9k | vs. HOU

Point guard is thin at the top on this slate, which helps Murray stand out as one of the stronger spend-up options at the position. He’s projected for around 35–36 minutes tonight and has averaged a solid 1.26 FPPM over his past 20 starts. Houston presents a difficult matchup, allowing the fewest FPPG to opposing point guards over their last 20 games. That said, Murray has still found success in this spot, producing at least 46.25 DKFP in two of three meetings with the Rockets this season.

PG Dejounte Murray, NOP | DK: $6.9k, FD: $7.5k | vs. TOR

Murray has looked excellent since returning from injury and brings strong per-minute production into this matchup. He leads all guards on the slate with a 1.42 FPPM average across his last five starts. While New Orleans has limited his workload, we have still seen Murray push toward the 30-minute range when games stay competitive. The matchup is favorable as well, with Toronto ranking 19th in DvP versus starting point guards over their last 10 games while playing on the second leg of a back-to-back in a game carrying a slim 2.5-point spread.

PG/SG Killian Hayes, SAC | DK: $3.1k, FD: $3.6k | vs. CHA

At just $100 above the stone minimum on both sites, Hayes stands out as one of the more intriguing punt options on the slate. Sacramento will be extremely thin in the backcourt tonight with Russell Westbrook, Malik Monk, and Devin Carter all ruled out, while Zach LaVine remains sidelined after undergoing season-ending hand surgery. That leaves Hayes as the top remaining point guard on the roster and the clear favorite to draw the start.

In Sacramento’s game last night, Hayes produced 25.0 DKFP in 23 minutes off the bench and played the entire fourth quarter of a contest that was decided by just five points – and that was with Westbrook, Monk, and Carter all active. The Kings (+12.5) could be staring at a likely blowout tonight, but Hayes should still see plenty of floor time regardless of game script given the team’s lack of backcourt depth.

Other Guards to Consider

SG Anthony Edwards, MIN at LAC

SG Donovan Mitchell, CLE at ORL

PG Jalen Brunson, NYK at UTA

PG Amen Thompson, HOU at DEN

SG/SF Desmond Bane, ORL vs. CLE

PG/SG Trey Murphy III, NOP vs. TOR

SG Kon Knueppel, CHA at SAC

PG Darius Garland, LAC vs. MIN

SG/SF Nique Clifford, SAC vs. CHA

SG Landry Shamet, NYK at UTA (Boost if starting)

PG/SG Jevon Carter, ORL vs. CLE

Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀

SF RJ Barrett, TOR | DK: $6.8k, FD: $7.2k | at NOP

Barrett enters this matchup in strong form, scoring at least 25 points in three straight games while leading Toronto with a 27.2% usage rate during that span. His overall production has been excellent as well, averaging 1.20 FPPM over those contests. The matchup sets up favorably against a Pelicans defense that ranks 26th in defensive rating and 23rd in DvP versus starting small forwards. At these salaries, Barrett profiles as one of the stronger mid-range options at the position tonight.

SF/SG Bennedict Mathurin, LAC | DK: $6.1k, FD: $7.1k | vs. MIN

Mathurin has stepped into a major offensive role since joining the Clippers and has quickly become one of their primary scoring options. His usage rate has jumped to 29.6% in Los Angeles, and he’s producing 1.13 FPPM over his last five games while flashing a strong ceiling with at least 39.5 DKFP in three of his last four. His minutes have also been solid, reaching as high as 36 in that span. At $6.1k on DraftKings, Mathurin stands out as one of the better potential values on the slate, and he remains a viable option at $7.1k on FanDuel given the type of upside he has shown lately.

SF/PF Derrick Jones Jr., LAC | DK: $4.6k, FD: $5.3k | vs. MIN

Jones has quietly been playing a key role for the Clippers recently, logging 30+ minutes in three straight games. He’s producing a modest 0.81 FPPM over the past month but flashed notable upside with a 39.25 DKFP performance against the Knicks on Monday. His defensive activity has helped raise that ceiling, as he’s averaging 2.4 STL+BLK per game over his last five contests. With forward value limited on this slate, Jones sets up as a reliable minutes-based option with some upside if those defensive stats show up again.

Other Forwards to Consider

PF Paolo Banchero, ORL vs. CLE

SF Kawhi Leonard, LAC vs. MIN

SF Kevin Durant, HOU at DEN

SF Brandon Miller, CHA at SAC

PF/C Kyle Filipowski, UTA vs. NYK

PF Zion Williamson, NOP vs. TOR

PF OG Anunoby, NYK at UTA

PF Aaron Gordon, DEN vs. HOU

SF/SG Brice Sensabaugh, UTA vs. NYK (Preferred if starting again)

SF/PF Tristan da Silva, ORL vs. CLE

SF/PF Dean Wade, CLE at ORL

PF Blake Hinson, UTA vs. NYK

Centers to Consider 🏀

C Nikola Jokic, DEN | DK: $12.1k, FD: $12.8k | vs. HOU

Jokic continues to deliver elite fantasy production and is coming off another massive 75.5 DKFP outing against Oklahoma City. He’s averaging an absurd 1.88 FPPM over the past 20 games and still carries the highest raw ceiling on any slate he appears on. While Houston (8th in DEFRTG) represents a fairly difficult matchup on paper, the Rockets have allowed the 13th-most FPPG to centers over their last 20 games and are playing the second leg of a back-to-back. Jokic also tends to thrive at home, where he averages +5.9% more FPPG – which may not seem like much, but is a notable bump for a guy who puts up nearly 65 DKFP/gm.

C Jakob Poeltl, TOR | DK: $5.5k, FD: $6k | at NOP

Poeltl is listed as questionable with an illness, but if he’s able to suit up, he lands in a strong spot at these price points. He’s been productive since returning to the lineup and has averaged a strong 1.16 FPPM over his last five games while posting at least 34.75 DKFP in three of those contests. His minutes have also been steady around the 30-minute range, giving him a solid workload when active. The matchup is favorable as well, with New Orleans ranking 27th in DvP versus starting centers. Assuming he does suit up, Poeltl won't be affected by the back-to-back factor like the rest of his teammates who played sizable minutes last night.

Other Centers to Consider

C Karl-Anthony Towns, NYK at UTA

C Moussa Diabate, CHA at SAC

C Brook Lopez, LAC vs. MIN

C Sandro Mamukelashvili, TOR at NOP (Only if Poeltl is out)

C Mitchell Robinson, NYK at UTA

C Isaiah Jackson, LAC vs. MIN

C Ryan Kalkbrenner, CHA at SAC
