DFS Main Slate Rundown 📰
We’ve got a nice NBA Wednesday ahead of us with several quality matchups on the board. DraftKings will nix the two late games (MIN/DEN & NYK/POR) from their main slate, bringing it down to seven games while FanDuel will feature all nine games. The first seven games (aka the entire DK slate) will all be tipping off within a 30-minute window between 7:30 ET and 8:30 ET. Injuries are about as prevalent as you would expect on a slate of this size, so a flurry of news will drop in quick succession. Stay on your toes for this one! Best of luck!

Main Slate Match-Ups w/ Game Totals & Point Spreads

Top DraftKings & FanDuel DFS Plays
Note: NBA position designations are never going to perfectly align between the major DFS sites. For the purposes of these newsletters, positional designations will default to DraftKings.
Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀
PG Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OKC | DK: $11.4k, FD: $11.5k | at BOS
This could easily be the game of the night that pits the No. 1 team in the West (OKC) against the No. 2 team in the East (BOS). The Thunder will roll into Boston without the services of Jalen Williams (hip/out) which means the sky-high usage for SGA should increase even further. Gilgeous-Alexander, who has posted a hefty 36.0% USG% L5Games, has seen a team-leading +3.34% USG% increase with Williams off the floor this season, and he has averaged an additional +5.3 FP per 32 minutes in that split as well. Boston (5th in DEFRTG) defends well but there are rarely any matchups that SGA fails to succeed in. When these teams met in early January, SGA popped for a 33/11/6 stat line which included three steals and two blocks (67.25 DKFP/67.2 FDFP). You’re paying a hefty price for him but SGA clearly has the highest ceiling of any guards on this slate and the Thunder (+2.5) find themselves as rare underdogs, so you have to imagine that SGA will look to shoulder huge offensive responsibility tonight… more so than usual.
SG Desmond Bane, MEM | DK: $8.3k, FD: $8.5k | vs. UTA
It’s tough to ignore a team that holds a near 130-point implied team total, as the Grizzlies (129.5 implied points) do today. The Jazz and their 29th-ranked defense are routinely an ideal matchup for opposing teams, and the Grizzlies continue to play at the fastest pace in the NBA, which leads to a hefty 247 over/under here. Desmond Bane is coming off of a down game where he made just four shots on 11 attempts, but prior to Monday’s letdown, he had erupted for at least 57.25 DKFP/56.80 FDFP in three of his previous four games. Memphis will be missing a couple of impact bigs with Jaren Jackson Jr. and Santi Aldama sidelined tonight; Bane’s usage rate has increased by +3.24 percentage points with those two off the floor this season. The Jazz have allowed the most FPPG to starting SGs L20Games so you quite literally could not ask for a better bounce-back spot for Bane this evening.

SG AJ Lawson, TOR | DK: $4k, FD: $4.7k | vs. PHI
If you’re searching for value you should be able to find plenty of it on the Raptors’ roster, especially if Scottie Barnes (hand/questionable) is unable to play. But, regardless of Barnes’ status, the Raptors are looking to be extremely shorthanded tonight. A list of all of the Toronto players who are officially out tonight: Brandon Ingram (who has yet to play a game with TOR), RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, Jonathan Mogbo, Ja’Kobe Walter, and Gradey Dick… Ochai Agbaji is also listed as doubtful. So, expect a very ragtag-looking Raptors lineup tonight. AJ Lawson should be in line for a start and he’s coming off of a game where he exploded for 32 points and 53.5 DKFP/48.4 FDFP in 33 minutes off of the bench on Monday. Lawson had picked up a couple of spot starts prior to that game, and didn’t come close to that sort of production, but the Raptors also weren’t quite this banged up in those two starts. Regardless, Lawson should be in line for 30+ minutes tonight and perhaps can put up some strong numbers off of that confidence-building performance on Monday. The Raptors are also 4.5-point favorites in this game against a similarly depleted 76ers team.
Other Guards to Consider
PG James Harden, LAC at MIA
PG Ja Morant, MEM vs. UTA
PG/SF Scottie Barnes, TOR vs. PHI (Currently questionable)
PG/SG Quentin Grimes, PHI at TOR
PG/SG Jalen Green, HOU vs. PHX
PG/SG Stephon Castle, SAS vs. DAL
PG/SG Collin Sexton, UTA at MEM (Boost if Markkanen and/or Clarkson are out)
PG Brandon Williams, DAL at SAS (Currently questionable)
PG Jamal Shead, TOR vs. PHI (Assuming he starts)
PG/SG Jared Butler, PHI at TOR (Only if starting again)
SG Lonnie Walker IV, PHI at TOR (Boost if Oubre is out)
SG/SF Vince Williams Jr., MEM vs. UTA (Preferred if starting)
SG Jared Rhoden, TOR vs. PHI
FanDuel Main Slate Only
PG/SG Anfernee Simons, POR vs. NYK
PG Russell Westbrook, DEN vs. MIN
PG/SG Miles McBride, NYK at POR
Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀
PF Miles Bridges, CHA | DK: $8.6k, FD: $8.9k | at ATL
The Hornets certainly aren’t good but they’ve been playing better as of late, winning each of their last two and pushing the Cleveland Cavaliers to the final buzzer in a 117-118 loss last Friday. Charlotte’s increased competence and competitiveness have been the result of some monster games out of Miles Bridges. Over his last five games, Bridges has averaged 33.0 PPG, 8.6 RPG, and 4.0 APG. He is averaging 1.50 FPPM on a 32.3% USG% in that span and has produced 54.0 DKFP/52.3 FDFP while playing 36.0 Min/gm. I have my suspicions about whether or not Bridges can keep this form rolling but he certainly has the hot hand at the moment and draws another plus matchup tonight. The Hawks have played at the second-fastest pace this season and their DEFRTG has dipped to 27th over their last 10 games. The Hawks have also allowed the 6th most FPPG to PF starters L20Games so if the Hornets, who are 8.5-point road underdogs, keep things competitive tonight, it’ll likely be thanks to another big game out of Bridges.

PF/C John Collins, UTA | DK: $6.6k, FD: $7.4k | at MEM
John Collins has been more of a spectator than a player lately, playing in only two of Utah’s previous ten games. But he has no injury designation heading into tonight and he has popped off for and he has flashed major upside and heavy usage in those last two games that he has suited up in. Collins went for 49.0 DKFP/47.0 FDFP on a team-leading 41.3% USG% against the Celtics on Monday and posted 49.0 DKFP/44.9 FDFP on another team-leading 36.0% USG% in the 117-116 win over the T-Wolves back on Feb. 28th. Collins got up to 34 minutes in the game on Monday, so he doesn’t appear to be playing under significant minutes restrictions, if any. And these DFS price points are fairly generous, particularly the $6,600 salary on DraftKings, for the sort of upside Collins brings to the table. As noted, there is plenty of scoring expected in this game given its slate-leading 247 over/under, and the Grizzlies are a bit thin in the frontcourt without Jackson Jr. and Aldama to man the interior. Centers Zach Edey and Brandon Clarke are also questionable, which could leave Memphis even thinner on big bodies if either/both of those guys sit out.
PF Dillon Brooks, HOU | DK: $4.4k, FD: $4.9k | vs. PHX
I’m never excited to give Dillon Brooks a spotlight, but he could be in line for some massive minutes in the absence of Amen Thompson (ankle/out). With Thompson out of the lineup on Monday against the Magic, Brooks went on to play 37 minutes while putting up 21 shot attempts. The game itself was a very low-scoring affair, ending in a 97-84 Rockets win, and Brooks’ 26.0 DKFP/24.3 FDFP doesn’t exactly jump off the page. But the shot attempts and playing time should be there for Brooks tonight, and it’s a great matchup. The Suns have been awful defensively, ranking 29th in DEFTG L15Games, and Brooks went for a solid 30.5 DKFP/39.9 FDFP in 31 minutes when these teams met a month ago. On the Rockets injury front, they are expected to get Fred VanVleet (ankle/probable) back today. FVV has played in just one of the Rockets’ previous 17 games. But Brooks has shown positive splits with VanVleet on the floor plus Thompson off the floor. There may end up being more appealing value forwards to choose from once additional injury news is released but, for now, Brooks looks like a solid bet to return 6x (or better) upside.
Other Forwards to Consider
SF/PF Jayson Tatum, BOS vs. OKC (Currently questionable)
SF/PF Kevin Durant, PHX at HOU
SF/SG Jaylen Brown, BOS vs. OKC (Boost if Tatum is out)
SF/PF Naji Marshall, DAL at SAS (Preferred if Washington remains out)
SF/SG Klay Thompson, DAL at SAS
SF/SG Luguentz Dort, OKC at BOS
SF/PF Keldon Johnson, SAS vs. DAL (Boost if Vassell is out)
PF/C Kessler Edwards, DAL at SAS (Only if Washington is out + Edwards starts)
SF/PF Georges Niang, ATL vs. CHA
PF/C Mouhamed Gueye, ATL vs. CHA
FanDuel Main Slate Only
SF/PF Josh Hart, NYK at POR
PF Julius Randle, MIN at DEN
PF/C Naz Reid, MIN at DEN (Preferred if Gobert is out)
SF/PF OG Anunoby, NYK at POR
Centers to Consider 🏀
C Onyeka Okongwu, ATL | DK: $7.1k, FD: $7.5k | vs. CHA
I’ll try not to mush Okongwu again by giving him a spotlight, but he’ll set up well out of the $7k range and draws an excellent matchup. Okongwu has been at his best at home this season, where he is averaging a strong 1.23 FPPM and +19.1% more FPPG compared to on the road. Clint Capela is also out tonight, which gives Okongwu a much better shot to maximize his minutes into the mid-30s range. Finally, the Hornets have surrendered the 6th most FPPG to starting centers L20Games so it’s hard to imagine a dud coming from Okongwu this evening.
C Mason Plumlee, PHX | DK: $3.4k, FD: $4.4k | at HOU
Plumlee is expected to enter the starting lineup tonight with Nick Richards listed as doubtful with an ankle injury. Plumlee has been playing solid minutes off of the bench recently, to begin with, and has averaged a productive 1.09 FPPM over his previous four games. It’s not an exceptional matchup (HOU: 8th vs. Center L20Games), but Phoenix will need Plumlee’s size and rebounding ability against Alperen Sengun, who plays big minutes for the Rockets, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if Plumlee pushes for 30+ minutes tonight. Either way, he’s dirt cheap, specifically on DraftKings, and shouldn’t have much of a problem returning value even if he’s only out there for around 24 minutes.

Other Centers to Consider
C Alperen Sengun, HOU vs. PHX
C Ivica Zubac, LAC at MIA
C Mark Williams, CHA at ATL
C Walker Kessler, UTA at MEM
C Jakob Poeltl, TOR vs. PHI
C Orlando Robinson, TOR vs. PHI
C Jay Huff, MEM vs. UTA (Only if Edey + Clarke are out & Huff starts)
C Adem Bona, PHI at TOR (Only if Drummond & Yabusele are out)
C Steven Adams, HOU vs. PHX
FanDuel Main Slate Only
C Nikola Jokic, DEN vs. MIN
C Karl-Anthony Towns, NYK at POR

DFS Main Slate Rundown 📰
It’s another busy day in the NBA. Eleven games reside on the Wednesday schedule -- DraftKings will exclude the two late games (PHX/OKC and ORL/SAC) from their main slate while FanDuel will feature the full menu. Trades continue to go down with the biggest move today involving the Bucks and Wizards trading Khris Middleton for Kyle Kuzma. The injury report is also a complete fiasco so keep those eyes and ears peeled for all the news that drops throughout the afternoon and evening! Let’s jump into the chaos!

PG/SG Jamal Murray, DEN | DK: $7.7k, FD: $8.3k | vs. NOP
The Nuggets lead the slate with a lofty 124.8 implied team total so the Denver studs will make plenty of sense today. Jamal Murray has been playing very well of late, averaging 1.21 FPPM L5Games and scoring at least 42.0 DKFP/44.0 FDFP in four of those last five games. He has secured 40+ FP in all three previous meetings with the Pelicans this season and, given their 29th-ranked DEFRTG and 29th-ranked DvP versus starting PGs L20Games, Murray’s expectations should be high once again this evening.
PG/SG Isaiah Collier, UTA | DK: $5.2k, FD: $5.2k | vs. GSW
Perhaps not the most exciting DFS play, but Isaiah Collier has provided some quality value in recent weeks, routinely returning 6x value at these low-$5k price points. Collier’s minutes and role should be more secure with Collin Sexton (ankle/out) expected to be sidelined for at least a week -- with Sexton only playing three minutes in Monday’s game, Collier went on to supply a point/assist double-double in 32 minutes versus the Pacers. Collier has also shot it significantly better at home this season with a 48.5% FG% versus a 32.6% FG% on the road. This may not be the best match-up but Collier did post a quality 12/6/9 stat line and 31.0 DKFP/28.7 FDFP against the Warriors just last Tuesday, and that was with Sexton active and putting up 30 points of his own.

SG Gradey Dick, TOR | DK: $4.2k, FD: $4.6k | vs. MEM
The Raptors will be shorthanded today with RJ Barrett, Jakob Poeltl, and Immanuel Quickley ruled out. Gradey Dick has seen a notable +4.5% USG% boost with those three players off the court this season along with a +5.8 FP per 32 minutes increase. Both teams in this game rank top 10 in pace, with Memphis ranking 1st in the NBA, so there will be plenty of possessions to go around. If the Raptors (+10.5) hope to pull off the upset, Gradey Dick will likely need to be heavily involved in the scoring.
Other Guards to Consider
PG Cade Cunningham, DET vs. CLE
PG Tyrese Maxey, PHI vs. MIA
PG/SG Anthony Edwards, MIN vs. CHI
SG/SF Trey Murphy III, NOP at DEN
PG Darius Garland, CLE at DET (Boost if D. Mitchell is out)
PG/SG Dyson Daniels, ATL vs. SAS
PG Josh Giddey, CHI at MIN
PG Jordan Poole, WAS at BKN
PG Keyonte George, UTA vs. GSW
SG/SF Bilal Coulibaly, WAS at BKN
SG/SF Christian Braun, DEN vs. NOP
PG/SG Keon Johnson, BKN vs. WAS
PG Ty Jerome, CLE at DET (Preferred if D. Mitchell is out)
PG Jamal Shead, TOR vs. MEM
FanDuel Main Slate Only
SG/SF Devin Booker, PHX at OKC
PG/SG Malik Monk, SAC vs. ORL
PG/SG Cole Anthony, ORL at SAC
Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀
PF/C Jaren Jackson Jr., MEM | DK: $8.3k, FD: $8.7k | at TOR
Over the last two games, JJJ has led the Grizzlies in scoring, with 31 and 37 points, as well as usage rate, with 31.8% USG% and 43.8% USG%. One of those games was without Ja Morant, but the other was without Desmond Bane, who will be out once again tonight. For a big man, Jackson is not a very prolific rebounder, but he can rack up multiple blocks and steals on any given night and he’ll draw a strong individual match-up. The Raptors have ranked 27th versus starting PFs L20Games and when these teams met in late December, Jackson dropped 50.25 DKFP/49.2 FDFP. I believe we can get a similar result out of him this evening.

SF/PF Michael Porter Jr., DEN | DK: $6.4k, FD: $6.6k | vs. NOP
MPJ has mostly been a solid floor play throughout this season but he erupted for 36 points and 52.75 DKFP/49.4 FDFP against this same Pelicans team on Monday. I believe the Peyton Watson (knee/out) injury is a bit underrated in regards to Porter’s role. Watson has been a key piece off of the Nuggets’ bench this season and, with Watson sidelined the last two games, Porter has played 40+ minutes in each contest. We can’t expect a repeat performance from Monday but I’d say 40+ FP is well within Porter’s wheelhouse tonight.
PF Matas Buzelis, CHI | DK: $4k, FD: $4.2k | at MIN
The Bulls took Buzelis with the 11th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. With Zach LaVine shipped off to the Kings and none of the recently acquired players (Kevin Huerter, Zach Collins, Tre Jones) ready to make their Chicago debut, Buzelis will have a chance to continue playing in an expanded role. He logged a season-high 31 minutes off of the bench in last night’s game versus the Heat and went on to score 24 points and 32.0 DKFP/31.4 FDFP. Buzelis has averaged a respectable 0.92 FPPM L5Games and, should he flirt with 30 minutes again tonight, he’ll be a great bet to return some nice value.
Other Forwards to Consider
PF/C Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL at CHA
SF/PG Scottie Barnes, TOR vs. MEM
PF/C Evan Mobley, CLE at DET (Boost if D. Mitchell is out)
PF/C John Collins, UTA vs. GSW
PF/C Naz Reid, MIN vs. CHI
PF/C Guerschon Yabusele, PHI vs. MIA
SF/PF Zaccharie Risacher, ATL vs. SAS
SF/PF Justin Edwards, PHI vs. MIA
SF/SG Corey Kispert, WAS at BKN
SF/PF Gregory Jackson, MEM at TOR
SF/PF Justin Champagnie WAS at BKN (Preferred if starting)
SF/SG Ja’Kobe Walter, TOR vs. MEM (Preferred if starting)
FanDuel Main Slate Only
PF/SF Paolo Banchero, ORL at SAC
SF/SG Grayson Allen, PHX at OKC
Centers to Consider 🏀
C Rudy Gobert, MIN | DK: $6.8k, FD: $6.9k | vs. CHI
Gobert continues to play some of his best basketball of the season following a 19/13/3 (plus two blocks and a steal) stat line against the Kings on Monday. He has now scored at least 37.0 DKFP/36.5 FDFP in five of his last six games, including three games of at least 47.25 DKFP/48.1 FDFP in that span. Gobert has averaged +4.6 FP per 32 minutes with Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo (both out) off the floor this season and, as always, the Bulls represent an elite match-up for opposing centers, ranking 29th against the position this season. Gobert’s DFS salaries are on the up and up but there’s still some real upside at his sub-$7k price points.

C Kelly Olynyk, TOR | DK: $3.3k, FD: $4k | vs. MEM
There is some pretty clear value here with Kelly Olynyk expected to start in place of the injured Jakob Poeltl. In his only other start this season, which also came against the Grizzlies in late December, Olynyk averaged 1.20 FPPM and scored 27.75 DKFP/25.50 FDFP. Olynyk only played 23 minutes in that game but I believe he could get closer to 26-28 minutes as the starter tonight. Either way, he won’t have to do much to pay off these bottom-of-the-barrel salaries tonight.
Other Centers to Consider
C Nikola Jokic, DEN vs. NOP
C Victor Wembanyama, SAS at ATL
C Mark Williams, CHA vs. MIL
C Jalen Duren, DET vs. CLE
C Kel’el Ware, MIA at PHI
C Zach Edey, MEM at TOR
C Kevon Looney, GSW at UTA
C Quinten Post, GSW at UTA
FanDuel Main Slate Only
C/PF Domantas Sabonis, SAC vs. ORL
C Isaiah Hartenstein, OKC vs. PHX
