DFS Main Slate Rundown 📰

A five-game slate is on tap Tuesday, and it sets up as a fairly competitive one. Four of the five games carry spreads under four points, with CHA/BKN standing out as the lone potential blowout. Scoring environments aren’t overly appealing, with just one game (DAL/MIL) featuring a total north of 230 points, so this may not be the highest-scoring slate. That said, if these games stay close, we should see plenty of starters push for strong minutes.

Let’s dive in. Best of luck!

Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀

PG/SG Devin Booker, PHX | DK: $9.4k, FD: $8.9k | at ORL

Booker continues to carry a heavy offensive role, now up to 1.33 FPPM over his last five games while maintaining a 32% USG% on the season. Phoenix is on the second leg of a back-to-back, but Booker only played 26 minutes in last night’s blowout, so he should be fresh for a full workload here. This is a strong game environment with a tight 1.5-point spread, which should keep him on the floor for big minutes. Orlando has been more vulnerable defensively since the break (16th in DEFRTG) and are 19th in DvP versus starting guards over their last five.

PG Amen Thompson, HOU | DK: $8.1k, FD: $8.8k | vs. NYK

Thompson has provided a very steady floor for about a month now, with the occasional 50+ DKFP ceiling game mixed in. His minutes workload is elite (39.4 minutes/gm L5Games), and he should push for 40+ minutes again in a competitive matchup with a 1.5-point spread against the Knicks. Thompson contributes across the board and brings double-double upside, mainly via points and rebounds. He may not be the flashiest option, but his consistency carries real value on a smaller slate like this.

PG Ryan Nembhard, DAL | DK: $3.6k, FD: $3.9k | at MIL

After briefly moving back to the bench for a few games, Nembhard returned to the starting lineup last game and should be in line for another start with Dallas still down a pair of starters (Naji Marshall and PJ Washington). His value is primarily driven by assists, but he can chip in some scoring, and he’s averaged a solid 0.92 FPPM over his last five starts. With a 28.0-minute projection, it’s tough to overlook a starting point guard at sub-$4k pricing on both sites. The matchup also helps, with Milwaukee ranking 29th in DvP versus starting point guards over their last 20 games.

Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀

PF Paolo Banchero, ORL | DK: $9.5k, FD: $9.7k | vs. PHX

Prior to Orlando getting blown out by 52 points in their last game against Toronto (who went on an NBA record 31-0 run at one point), Banchero was rolling with three straight performances of at least 51.75 DKFP. He and the Magic will look to bounce back at home as they continue to push for better postseason positioning. The matchup is solid, with Phoenix allowing the 11th-most FPPG to starting power forwards over their last 20 games, and Banchero already posted 62.0 DKFP in this matchup a little over a month ago.

SF/SG Ja’Kobe Walter, TOR | DK: $4.3k, FD: $4.8k | at DET

With Immanuel Quickley out for a fifth straight game, there is a good chance Walter slides into the lineup for another spot start. Whether as a starter or playing off the bench, he’s been productive lately, averaging a solid 0.94 FPPM over his last seven games and projects for 32.0 minutes tonight. The matchup isn’t ideal against a strong Detroit defense, but the expected workload is what stands out here, especially at sub-$5k price points. He’s a better fit on DraftKings with SF/SG eligibility, while being SG-only on FanDuel, but either way, the minutes and role keep him firmly in play as a value option.

SF/PF Khris Middleton, DAL | DK: $3.4k, FD: $3.9k | at MIL

For an even cheaper option, Middleton stands out as a viable punt in a strong matchup against Milwaukee’s 27th-ranked defense. Dallas is thin on the wing, which should allow him to step into a solid role whether he starts or comes off the bench, and he’s currently projected for 25.0 minutes. The production hasn’t been huge, but he’s shown signs of life in his last two outings. With the Bucks also missing key pieces like Giannis, Porter Jr., and Portis, this sets up as a favorable spot for Middleton to return value at near-minimum pricing against his former team.

Centers to Consider 🏀

C Alperen Sengun, HOU | DK: $9.2k, FD: $10k | vs. NYK

Sengun brings elite upside into this slate, with two massive performances of 78.75 and 76.25 DKFP within his last four games. He may be the only player on this slate who is capable of that kind of ceiling tonight. The matchup is tough against a Knicks team that ranks 3rd in DvP versus centers, but that’s more of a secondary concern in GPPs. If you’re chasing raw upside on this slate, Sengun is firmly in the mix, especially in a game that could carry a playoff-caliber atmosphere.

C Daniel Gafford, DAL | DK: $5k, FD: $5.6k | at MIL

Gafford returned from a short two-game absence yesterday and picked up right where he left off, posting 35.5 DKFP in his first game back, his seventh 30+ DKFP effort in his last eight. He’s been extremely efficient, averaging 1.30 FPPM over his last five starts while seeing a notable bump in usage since the All-Star break. The minutes typically land in the mid-20s, but that’s been more than enough time for him to pay off at these price points. This is also a favorable matchup against a Milwaukee team that has struggled to protect the rim without Giannis available, and it puts Gafford squarely in play as a value option.
