NBA DFS & Props Shows w/ Tyler & Shannon

DFS Main Slate Rundown 📰

Tuesday will set up with a six-game main slate over on DraftKings and a seven-game main slate on FanDuel, with the inclusion of the lone late game (MIN at DEN). Six of today’s seven games feature a spread of 5.5 points or slimmer, so here’s to hoping for some competitive matchups tonight! Once again, the injury report is about up to snuff for this point in the season. There will be around six or seven impact players who have “questionable” designations, so we’ll need to keep a keen eye out for news as it rolls in. Best of luck!

Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀

PG Steph Curry, GSW | DK: $9.1k, FD: $8.6k | at MEM

Curry has been tricky to “get right” this season, but the best shooter in NBA history has still popped for some big games in his age 36 season. Curry recently got over a pelvic injury, and it’s encouraging to not see him on the injury report heading into tonight’s game. He only needed to play 26 minutes in Sunday’s 42-point blowout win over the Spurs, so he should be fresh. This matchup with the Grizzlies is always an enticing one as Memphis continues to lead the NBA in pace. Point guards have also found ample success against the Grizzlies, who have allowed the 2nd most FPPG to starting PGs L20Games. We have a lofty 238 over/under here with a narrow four-point spread in favor of Curry and the Warriors.

PG/SG Dyson Daniels, ATL | DK: $7.5k, FD: $8k | vs. POR

While there have been a couple of down games in the mix, Dyson Daniels continues to routinely churn out excellent value on his DFS price points. After his stellar 22/9/6 stat line, which included five steals, against the Bucks on Sunday, Daniels has now posted at least 41.0 DKFP/41.2 FDFP in five of his last seven starts. Daniels puts his DFS scores over the top with his ability to rack up steals, a premium scoring stat in the realm of NBA DFS. No one is even close to Daniels’ 3.1 STL/gm average, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he racks up a handful of steals again tonight. The Trailblazers have allowed the second-most opponent STL/gm (9.4) this season and they may also be relying upon some backup ball handlers with Scoot Henderson out and Anfernee Simons listed as questionable.

PG Ryan Rollins, MIL | DK: $4.3k, FD: $5.2k | vs. PHX

As usual at this point in the season, finding value isn’t going to be challenging. With Damian Lillard out indefinitely due to a blood clot, the Bucks have mostly been relying upon Ryan Rollins as their starting PG. Backup PG Kevin Porter Jr. (DK: $4.9k, FD: $5.3k) is the more productive player from a fantasy standpoint, but Rollins having the starting role gives him a safer floor. Rollins has averaged a decent 0.91 FPPM on the season and if the Bucks can stop their four-game losing skid against the Kevin Durant-less Suns, he should be able to play 30+ minutes tonight. The Suns have ranked 27th in DEFRTG L15Games so it’s a strong spot for the main Bucks players.

Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀

SF/PF Deni Avdija, POR | DK: $8.1k, FD: $8.3k | at ATL

Avdija keeps on playing at a very high level to close out the season, and the Trailblazers still have a low-end shot at earning a spot in the postseason play-in tournament. Over his last six games, Avdija has put up 1.38 FPPM while averaging 51.9 DKFP/49.3 FDFP in that span. Portland isn’t on a back-to-back, which is when it’s best to avoid Avdija, and they’re getting a sizable pace-up boost from the Hawks (who are 2nd in pace -- POR is 18th in pace). The Hawks have also allowed the 4th most FPPG to PF starters L20Games so, even with steadily climbing DFS salaries, Avdija still brings plenty of upside to lineups this evening.

SF/PF OG Anunoby, NYK | DK: $7.3k, FD: $7.9k | vs. PHI

Anunoby has taken it up a notch, averaging 1.23 FPPM L5Games, and as with any starters for coach Tom Thibodeau, he is locked into massive minutes. The Knicks continue to play without their top three point guards -- Jalen Brunson, Miles McBride, and Cameron Payne, all out again tonight. With those three off the floor, Anunoby has taken on a sizable +5.7% USG% increase. If Karl-Anthony Towns (knee/questionable) is unable to suit up tonight, Anunoby’s usage has gone up +9.6 percentage points with KAT plus those three PGs off the floor. Even if they’re shorthanded, the Knicks (-13 favorites) should have no problems with the depleted 76ers’ roster, and they’ll probably stay double-digit favorites even if KAT is eventually ruled out.

SF/PF Royce O’Neale, PHX | DK: $4k, FD: $5.2k | at MIL

Current expectations are for Royce O’Neale to pick up some spot starts for the injured Kevin Durant, who is expected to miss at least one week with an ankle injury he sustained in Sunday’s game versus the Rockets. O’Neale has averaged a respectable 0.91 FPPM on the season, and he has had a few solid games off of the bench in recent weeks, despite playing low-to-mid 20s minutes in those games. As a starter, he will be a safer bet to play around 30 minutes, which makes him a great value target today, especially at his $4,000 price point on DraftKings.

Centers to Consider 🏀

C Jakob Poeltl, TOR | DK: $6.6k, FD: $7k | at CHI

We’ll test the waters again with Poeltl, who remains on his on-again, off-again play/rest schedule. The Raptors still aren’t letting him play huge minutes, but he has been out there for at least 25 minutes in his last four games. And he’s pouring in a monster 1.55 FPPM over his L5Games. The matchup is also elite as the Bulls have allowed the most FPPG to starting centers L10Games.

C Adem Bona, PHI | DK: $4.9k, FD: $5.4k | at NYK

I’ll feel better about this play if Guerschon Yabusele (knee/questionable) is out, but Bona projects to start even if Yabusele is active tonight. Bona has started each of the last two games, one with Yabusele active and one where he was out. He’s been productive in his four starts this season, averaging 1.09 FPPM, 14.0 PPG, 8.3 RPG, and 3.8 STL+BLK/gm, resulting in an average of 31.2 DKFP/32.8 FDFP. It’s not the best matchup tonight (NYK: 7th vs. Starting centers L20Games) but KAT is a little banged up and may not play, which would result in a matchup upgrade for Bona. Regardless, he’s a strong value option so long as he hangs onto a starting role.
