DFS Main Slate Rundown đź“°

The final NBA regular season Friday has arrived. All 30 teams will be in action tonight, however, not every game is going to be included on the DK and FD main slates. DraftKings will feature a 10-game main slate while FanDuel has an 11-game main slate, with the inclusion of the OKC at UTA game. Every team has the day off tomorrow, and then all 30 teams will play their final game on Sunday.

As you can imagine, the “injury” report is absolute mayhem today. While there is still some potential movement to be made at certain spots in the standings, many teams have solidified their postseason seed, and the 10 teams that are outside the top 10 seeds in their respective conference standings have all been eliminated from playoff contention. Only a few teams have any real motivation remaining, so several teams are resting most/all of their starters tonight. It’s going to be a wild one so strap in if you’re one of the sickos who is still in the thick of NBA DFS! This will be the final NBA newsletter of the season, so I’d like to thank everyone for reading, and I’ll catch you guys next year (or over in MLB/PGA chat). Best of luck!

Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀

SG Anthony Edwards, MIN | DK: $9.7k, FD: $9.4k | vs. BKN

As usual, at this point in the season, it’s important to target teams with something at stake when you’re looking for stud plays. The Timberwolves are one of those teams and, after beating the Grizzlies in an important game last night, they can secure a top-six seed with wins in their final two games. Edwards erupted for a massive 44-point performance last night -- his 3rd highest single-game point total of the season -- and 59.75 DKFP/55.50 FDFP. He once again led the team with a 32.4% USG% yesterday and will continue to be the go-to scoring threat. The Nets will be deploying the equivalent of a G-League lineup and, as a result, the T-Wolves are astronomical 21-point home favorites. So a blowout is a major concern. But if the Nets can hang around on the scoreboard long enough and force Minnesota into playing their starters for close to full minutes, it could be another huge night for Ant Edwards.

PG TJ McConnell, IND | DK: $3.7k, FD: $5k | vs. ORL

While the Pacers could still theoretically improve from the No. 4 to No. 3 seed in the East, they will be sitting their entire starting lineup (T. Haliburton, P. Siakam, M. Turner, A. Nembhard, A. Nesmith) tonight. That should open the door for a TJ McConnell start. If you’ve played NBA DFS for a while, you’ll know that McConnell can be a highly productive FPPM player so when he handles increased minutes and/or starts, he’s a great option to target at low price points. McConnell has not started a game yet this season but he has averaged an excellent 1.20 FPPM off of the Pacers’ bench. On the other side of the court, the Magic will be sitting most of their starters as well, so this shouldn’t be the difficult matchup that it normally is. If McConnell plays around 30 minutes tonight, he’ll be very unlikely to post a dud.

PG Craig Porter Jr., CLE | DK: $3.5k, FD: $4.7k | at NYK

Porter won’t start tonight but he is a good bet to handle some sizable minutes. The Cavs are locked into the No. 1 seed and they’re resting several players (mostly guards) tonight -- Donovan Mitchell, Ty Jerome, De’Andre Hunter, and Sam Merrill are all out. And it’s very likely that the usual Cavs starters that are playing tonight will not play full minutes. Porter played 28 minutes yesterday and has averaged 0.92 FPPM over his L20Games. I could see him pushing for 30 minutes again tonight, so he’s one of the many cheap guards worthy of consideration today.

Other Guards to Consider

PG Josh Giddey, CHI vs. WAS (Currently questionable)

PG Trae Young, ATL at PHI

PG Ja Morant, MEM at DEN

Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀

PF/C Julius Randle, MIN | DK: $7.3k, FD: $6.9k | vs. BKN

Outside of maybe only Giannis, there is very little to love at the top of forward pricing. So, we’ll target the Timberwolves once again who, as mentioned, have plenty at stake over the final two games of the season. Randle broke out of a mini-slump last night when he procured a 31-point/10-rebound double-double and notched 56.0 DKFP/51.5 FDFP. Once again, a blowout is a concern here (MIN -21) but Randle is one of the few forwards on this slate with a high 50+ FP ceiling that isn’t nearly guaranteed to be limited in any capacity.

PF/C Jonathan Mogbo, TOR | DK: $5.5k, FD: $6.1k | at DAL

Teams who have been eliminated from playoff contention often use these final days of the season to give their bench players and usual role players a longer audition. That seems to have been the case for Jonathan Mogbo over the last couple of games. He has played 38 and 30 minutes as a starter over the last two games and has exploded for 55.0 DKFP/50.5 FDFP and 50.75 DKFP/52.7 FDFP in those games. As usual, the Raptors will be without several key starters tonight so there should be plenty of minutes for Mogbo to soak up and we’ve seen the sort of upside he can provide in his newly elevated role.

PF/C Obi Toppin, IND | DK: $4.5k, FD: $5.1k | vs. ORL

It’s tough not to like Toppin today as he should be another Pacers bench player who lands a starting gig tonight with all five of the usual starters sitting out. In his two games as a starter this season, Toppin has averaged an excellent 1.23 FPPM to go along with 28.0 PPG and 7.0 RPG across 35.7 Min/gm. He should easily hit value if he’s out there for 30+ minutes tonight.

Other Forwards to Consider

PF/C Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL at DET

PF/C Jaren Jackson Jr., MEM at DEN

SF Michael Porter Jr., DEN vs. MEM

SF/PF Naji Marshall, DAL vs. TOR

PF/C Bobby Portis, MIL at DET

SF/SG Mikal Bridges, NYK vs. CLE (Boost if some combo of Towns/Brunson/Hart/Anunoby are out)

SF/PF Justin Champagnie, WAS at CHI

PF Matas Buzelis, CHI vs. WAS

PF/C Karlo Matkovic, NOP vs. MIA (Currently questionable)

SF Colby Jones, WAS at CHI

PF/C Precious Achiuwa, NYK vs. CLE (Only if Towns/Hart are out)

SF/PF Keion Brooks Jr., NOP vs. MIA

SF/PF Tosan Evbuomwan, BKN at MIN

SF/PF Caleb Houstan, ORL at IND

SF/PF Jarace Walker, IND vs. ORL

PF Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, NOP vs. MIA

SF/PF Tristan da Silva, ORL at IND

FanDuel Main Slate Only

PF Kenrich Williams, OKC at UTA

SF Dillon Jones, OKC at UTA

Centers to Consider 🏀

C Nikola Jokic, DEN | DK: $13k, FD: $12.7k | vs. MEM

As he has been all season, Jokic is a no-brainer play today. But, with a nearly unlimited amount of value to choose from, he’s even more of a lock. He’ll no doubt be extremely chalky but he has by far the best floor and ceiling combination today. There is still plenty that can change in the middle of the Western Conference standings, and both teams in this game should be motivated to win due to seeding implications. Jokic is averaging a mammoth 1.91 FPPM L5Games and receives a solid pace-up boost from the Grizzlies, who have been the fastest-paced team in the NBA this season. Fading Jokic is a very dangerous proposition today, more so than usual.

C Goga Bitadze, ORL | DK: $3.4k, FD: $4.2k | at IND

There are several value centers to choose from as well and Goga Bitadze could be the best of the bunch. The Magic will be sitting Paolo Bancher, Franz Wagner, Wendell Carter Jr., and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope today. The absence of Carter should thrust Bitadze back into the starting lineup. Bitadze was the Magic’s starting center for much of the season, with 41 starts under his belt, but has been playing off of the bench since late February. On the year, Bitadze has averaged a quality 1.10 FPPM so, give him around 28-32 minutes tonight and he should coast to value. As discussed, the Pacers will be rolling out their B squad as well so there really aren’t any notable matchup concerns.

Other Centers to Consider

C Nikola Vucevic, CHI vs. WAS

C Onyeka Okongwu, ATL at PHI

C Rudy Gobert, MIN vs. BKN

C Kel’el Ware, MIA at NOP

C Adem Bona, PHI vs. ATL

C Zach Edey, MEM at DEN

C Drew Timme, BKN at MIN

C Tristan Vukcevic, WAS at CHI

C Thomas Bryant, IND vs. ORL
