DFS Main Slate Rundown 📰

The final Tuesday of the regular season brings a six-game main slate. Both DraftKings and FanDuel are excluding the four late West Coast games from their respective main slates. This slate is loaded with tanking teams, so naturally, quite a few players will be sitting out due to various “injuries.” There are a couple of matchups between playoff-bound teams – MIA at TOR and CHA at BOS – and both carry spreads under five points, setting up for competitive environments. As any long-time NBA DFS player knows, this final week is always hectic, so let’s try to sort through the chaos. Best of luck!

Main Slate Match-Ups w/ Game Totals & Point Spreads

Today’s Key Injuries 🚑

Note: NBA injury reports can be fickle and often update throughout the day. Be sure to stay up-to-date on all injury news leading up to tip-off as the list below may be a bit outdated by the time you’re reading this.

Top DraftKings & FanDuel DFS Plays

Note: NBA position designations are never going to perfectly align between the major DFS sites. For the purposes of these newsletters, positional designations will default to DraftKings.

Point Guards/Shooting Guards to Consider 🏀

SG/SF Collin Sexton, CHI | DK: $6.3k, FD: $6.2k | at WAS

With Josh Giddey, Matas Buzelis, and several others sidelined, Sexton steps into a strong role in this depleted Chicago lineup. He’s averaged a quality 1.16 FPPM over his last 10 games, and much of that came with more competition for usage than he’ll have tonight. The matchup couldn’t be much better, as Washington ranks dead last in DEFRTG and 29th in DvP versus starting guards. Both teams also sit top-six in pace and struggle defensively, contributing to a slate-high 250.5 total. In this environment, Sexton brings clear upside for his modest salaries.

PG/SG Jeremiah Fears, NOP | DK: $6.1k, FD: $6.6k | vs. UTA

With Trey Murphy III and Dejounte Murray both out, Fears should draw another start and see strong minutes. He started on Sunday and posted a 19/3/7 line with two steals and a block, good for 38.75 DKFP across 37 minutes. The rookie has also shown upside in this matchup, putting up 43.25 DKFP in 34 minutes off the bench in his previous meeting with Utah. This sets up as a strong environment with a 243.5 over/under, and the Jazz rank 29th in DEFRTG and play at the second-fastest pace. The Pelicans are second on the slate with a 127.0 implied team total and, if they meet or exceed those expectations, Fears is likely going to be a big reason why.

SG Cormac Ryan, MIL | DK: $4.9k, FD: $4.8k | at BKN

We always get a few relatively unknown names popping up as viable plays this late in the season, and Cormac Ryan fits that mold today. Milwaukee is extremely shorthanded, sitting seven of its top eight highest-priced players on DraftKings, which should open the door for big minutes here. Ryan has logged 29+ minutes in three straight games and has flashed upside with outings of 41.0 and 36.5 DKFP. He’s projecting for over 30 minutes tonight and could even draw his first NBA start. No real matchup concerns versus the Nets. They don’t play at a particularly fast tempo (27th in pace), but they don’t play much defense either (25th in DEFRTG).

Small Forwards/Power Forwards to Consider 🏀

PF Jayson Tatum, BOS | DK: $10k, FD: $10.7k | vs. CHA

There’s plenty of value available today, but not many true studs to spend up for, which makes Tatum a natural target. After missing most of the season while recovering from an Achilles injury, he’s looked like his usual self and comes in on a heater. Over his last five games, he’s averaged 25.8 PPG, 11.8 RPG, 8.0 APG, 1.72 FPPM, and 58.6 DKFP/gm. The matchup is tougher on paper with Charlotte ranking 6th in DvP versus power forwards over their last 20 games, but this should be a competitive environment between two playoff-caliber teams. With his recent form and all-around production, Tatum brings one of the top ceilings on the slate.

SF/PF Leonard Miller, CHI | DK: $5.1k, FD: $5.6k | at WAS

Miller should draw a second straight start for the Bulls and stands out as a solid value in this spot. He logged 32 minutes in that role on Sunday and turned it into 33.5 DKFP, showing the type of production he can provide with extended run. He’s averaged 0.90 FPPM as a starter this season, but that climbs to 1.00 FPPM with both Josh Giddey and Matas Buzelis off the floor. The matchup is favorable as well, with Washington allowing 1.13 FPPM to power forwards this season while ranking 25th in DvP.

SF/PF Jalen Wilson, BKN | DK: $3.9k, FD: $4.7k | vs. MIL

Wilson moved into the starting lineup Sunday and delivered his best game of the season, posting a 19/5/4 line and 33.75 DKFP in 25 minutes while handling a 23.6% usage rate. He should remain in that role tonight, which keeps him firmly in play at these salaries. The matchup is favorable, as Milwaukee has struggled defensively since the All-Star break and has allowed the most FPPG to starting small forwards over their last 20 games. Another workload in the mid-20s should be enough for him to return value.

Centers to Consider 🏀

C/PF Kyle Filipowski, UTA | DK: $7.3k, FD: $8.1k | at NOP

Filipowski was originally listed as questionable due to a back issue but has since been upgraded to probable for tonight’s action. Despite Utah being a tough team to trust this late in the season, Filipowski has been one of the few bright spots, consistently playing hard and producing when given the opportunity. He’s topped 40 DKFP in five of his last six games and, over that stretch, is averaging 44.7 DKFP/gm with an elite 1.51 FPPM. If he sees 30+ minutes again, this is a strong spot against a Pelicans team that has struggled versus opposing frontcourts, ranking 29th in DvP to power forwards and 27th to centers over their last 10 games – Filipowski can operate in either of those positions.

C EJ Liddell, BKN | DK: $3.5k, FD: $4.5k | vs. MIL

If Liddell draws a second straight start, he’ll be firmly in play at these low-end price tags. He started Sunday against the Wizards and logged 30 minutes, finishing with 27.75 DKFP on a 15/5/2 line with two blocks. That type of workload puts him in a strong spot to return value if the starting role and minutes hold. The matchup also works in his favor, as Milwaukee ranks 26th in DvP versus starting centers over their last 20 games and has allowed 1.30 FPPM to the position in that span.
