PS) Don't forget about NHL tonight!
Guards
John Wall, WAS [@LAL] (DK: $10.2k, $10.2)
John Wall will be matching up against Lonzo Ball tonight who should be no match for Wall. Wall averaged over 60 fantasy points a game when playing against the Lakers last year, who are currently ranked 23rd against opposing starting Point Guards, giving up 39 fantasy points a game. This is currently slated as the 2nd highest scoring game of the night by Vegas, and Wall looks to be one of the top stud options tonight with a high ceiling, and floor.
Ricky Rubio, UTA [@PHO] (DK: $6.8k, FD: $7.6k)
He's had 4 difficult to neutral matchups to start the year, and tonight he finally gets a positive matchup against the Suns who are ranked 28th against opposing point guards over the last 20 games, giving up 42 fantasy points a game. They let Lonzo Ball and Damian Lillard both eclipse 50 fantasy points, and with the Suns looking to deal Bledsoe, Rubio will only have to deal with the young Mike James and Tyler Ulis.
Caris LeVert, BKN [vs CLE] (DK: $5.1k, $5.8k)
D'Angelo Russell is being listed as doubtful to play today. Caris LeVert should slide into a starting gig today, he'll be in line for expanded minutes, and larger offensive role as the Nets are looking likely to be without Russell, their top offensive weapon tonight.
Forwards
Otto Porter, WAS [@LAL] (DK: $5.9k, FD: $7.5k)
Otto Porter continues to shine while he's playing from his natural Power Forward position. The Lakers are currently ranked 26th against the PF position over the last 20 games, giving up 33 FPPG, and even more on their home court. They've allowed both Blake Griffin and Anthony Davis to eclipse the half century mark, and while Porter doesn't have the talent of either of them, he's in a great spot. His salary is still a bargain on DraftKings, but on FanDuel it's going to be a little harder to justify using him. This game is currently the 2nd highest over/under of the night, you'll want to find a piece of this game to play.
Marquese Chriss, PHO [vs UTA] (DK: $4.1k, FD: $4.3k)
The Suns new coach last game promptly reinserted Chriss into the starting lineup and handed him 29 minutes, almost doubled what he was seeing under the non-leadership of Earl Watson. The Suns team is full of young players, and it looks like both management and the new coach want to put them out there to shine. Expect Chriss to see a similar role moving forward as long as he can continue to deliver. It's a tougher matchup today versus Utah, but as long as he gets near 30 minutes, he shouldn't have a problem delivering value for his low salary.
Ryan Anderson, HOU [@PHI] (DK: $4.2k, FD: $4.1k)
Ryan Anderson is an anomaly when it comes to road and home splits, he's averaging nearly a full 10 fantasy points higher when he's on the road. He'll be facing the 76ers tonight on the road, who are ranked 17th against Power Forwards, giving up 29 fantasy points a game to opposing starting power forwards. Houston are going to be short handed tonight, without both Ariza and Nene, so Anderson is a lock for 30+ minutes tonight in a favorable matchup.
Centers
Andre Drummond, DET [vs MIN] (DK: $7.9k, FD: $8.5k)
Drummond has fared well against the Timberwolves, puting up 46 and 50 fantasy points against them last year. Drummond has seen 38 minutes the past 2 games, and tonight's game is pegged to be a close contest, Detroit only being favored by 2 over Minnesota, so they'll likely need Drummond out there for the majority of the game. The risk here, is that Detroit doesn't want Drummond to play extended minutes for a 3rd game in a row.
Marcin Gortat, WAS [@LAL] (DK:$5.5k, FD: $6.1k)
The Lakers are ranked dead last against opposing centers over the last 20 games played, giving up 36 fantasy points a game. Marcin Gortat has been averaging over 30 minutes a game to start this young season. If his workload keeps up, he's in line for a solid value tonight at his salary, in what is pegged to be the 2nd highest scoring game of the night.
Tristan Thompson, CLE (DK: $4k, FD: $3.6k)
Tristan Thompson played 3 times against the Nets last year, and averaged ~32 fantasy points a game. He saw his first start of the year last night, and Cleveland is on a back to back tonight, so LeBron and Love may play a few less minutes tonight, leaving some low hanging fruit for Thompson to collect. The Nets are ranked 28th against opposing centers as well, giving up 34 fantasy points a game.
