Guards
Eric Gordon, HOU [@CHA] (DK: $6.9k, FD: $7.1k)
Houston has been hammered by injuries to open this season, they are without Nene, Chris Paul, Ariza. Eric Gordon has pretty much single handily placed the team on his shoulders and is carrying a larger role than he normal would. This matchup is not ideal, but it's also not unfeasible as the Hornets are ranked 12th against starting shooting guards, giving up only 26 FPPG. Eric Gordon should see enough minutes in this game, because of injuries, and this is slated to be a close game with the Rockets only favored by 3 points on the road.
Dejounte Murray, SA [@ORL] (DK: $5.3k, FD: $5.5k)
Dejounte Murray was on a roll to start the season with 3 straight games over 30 fantasy points, prior to being shut down by Miami on Wednesday, who have been a top defense versus opposing starting point guards. Tonight, Murray gets to play against Orlando who have the 27th ranked defense versus starting point guards, allowing 41 FPPG. Look for Murray to return to how he started the season in the matchup tonight.
Kent Bazemore, ATL [vs DEN] (DK: $5.4k FD: $5.5k)
This play relies a bit on Dennis Schroder remaining out tonight, as Bazemore has really picked up a lot of the slack left from Schroder being out. Denver has also given up the most fantasy points to staring shooting guards, with 34 FPPG over the last 20 games. Denver as a team has changed a bit this year, and their pace has slowed, so this matchup isn't as ideal as it once was.
Forwards
Draymond Green, GS [vs WAS] (DK: $7.4k, FD: $8.2k)
The Washington Wizards are currently the 21st ranked offense versus opposing Power Forwards, allowing 30 FPPG. Draymond Green has not scored less than 46 fantasy points over the last 2 years in 4 contests when matching up against the Wizards. Vegas has this as the highest scoring game on the slate by far, with a 231 point over under. Draymond Green is aptly named tonight, the same color as cash money.
Kristaps Porzingis, NY [vs BKN] (DK: $8.5k, FD: $8.9k)
Porzingis tossed up a huge dud in his last outing versus the Boston Celtics, hitting just 3 of his 14 shots, and missing his first nine. The ball was just not falling for him in that contest, and was surely one of his worst games ever. It no doubt left a bad taste in his mouth and will be out for revenge tonight, in what is a favorable matchup versus the beat up, but up pace Brookyln Nets team. This game is one of the top 3 scoring games of the night, and Porzingis could be lower owned due to people not wanting to roster him after the absolute dud he laid in his last outing.
Wilson Chandler, DEN [@ATL] (DK: $4.8k, FD: $5.1k)
He hasn't had a big performance yet this season, but he has been seeing over 30 minutes a game through the first 4 games of the season. Chandler still has a high ceiling, and with his salary slipping a bit, he's a great option to help get some higher salary guys in your lineup. ATL is the 24th ranked defense versus starting small forwards, allowing 31 FPPG.
Centers
Nikola Vucevic, ORL [vs SA] (DK $6k, FD: $8.7k)
This is mostly a DraftKings only play, as he's severely underpriced today at a mere $6k. Yes, it's a tough matchup, but it's not un-winable, the Spurs are only ranked 11th against starting centers allowing 30 FPPG. Both Robin Lopez and Karl-Anthony Towns were able to eclipse the 30 fantasy point mark against the Spurs this season.
Clint Capela, HOU [@CHA] (DK: $6.5k FD: $7.7k)
A common theme today, and this season, the injury bug has hit the Rockets harder than most to begin the season. They'll be without Nene, Ariza, and Chris Paul, and so far Capela has done a nice job stepping up to cover the missing offense. As long as Nene and Ariza remain out, and his price doesn't get insane Clint Capela should remain a viable play for the ceiling he can bring.
Serge Ibaka, TOR [@LAL] (DK: $5.2k, FD: $5.5k)
The Lakers are ranked dead last against opposing starting centers over the last 20 games, allowing nearly 37 FPPG. The Raptors have had their share of injury problems with Jonas Valanciunas out, and Lucas Nogueira questionable. Ibaka is certainly capable of big games, and in this situation at this price, you almost have to take a chance on him.
