Top NBA Plays 11/18 | Rivalry Night
The NBA has a great slate of rivalry games on tap for tonight. We've got Russell Westbrook meeting up with Damian Lillard, rekindling their absolute battle from last year's 1st round playoff series that was at least somewhat influential in Westbrook leaving Oklahoma City. Russ's old team the Thunder meet their other old teammate in Paul George and the Clippers. George has 70 points scored in his first two games of the year with the Clippers.
The Spurs make the 4 hour trip North to Dallas and the Bucks travel the hour plus South to take on Chicago. Even Devin Booker is in action vs. sportswriter Bill Simmons' favorite team the Celtics. Simmons had some 'Twitter Beef' with Booker and his decision to exclude himself from Team USA this offseason. Let's get this punchy night started already!
Tonight's DFS Headlines
If the NBA is a copycat league, look for more and more players to try and get debilitating shoulder injuries. This is because Paul George ($8100) has been a man possessed with 70 points in his first two games back from offseason shoulder surgery(s). Kawhi Leonard ($9300) and Patrick Beverley ($4,400) have missed both of those games and are questionable tonight when the Clippers host George's old team the Thunder.
The Pacers at Nets game serves as your reminder that open enrollment for Affordable Health Care is available until December 15th. This contest is riddled with ailments, Malcolm Brogdon ($6,500) and Jeremy Lamb ($6000) are both out for Indiana while Kyrie Irving ($8500) also joins the injury list for Brooklyn.
Houston is one of the teams that could be getting healthier, as Danuel House ($3,700) and Clint Capela ($7,700) could return to the starting lineup tonight. Will James Harden hoist another 41 shots vs. Portland like he did Saturday in Minnesota, making him a must-play in cash games?
Speaking of must-play, Luka Doncic ($9800) has been in a perfect lineup in 7 of the last 8 games and has a very favorable matchup when the Mavericks play the Spurs, who have the league's #25 squad in defensive efficiency.
It could be a down night for the Timberwolves #1 ranked pace as they travel to Utah tonight. The Jazz are well-rested having had the last 2 nights off and boast the 2nd best defense in the NBA.
Cavs and Knicks players may get a better look tonight as both squads avoid 'blowout scenario' because they play each other. The Knicks are 2 point favorites in a game that has just a 209 betting total however.
Guards
Coby White (DK: $5300 FD: $5,400 Y! $16)
Coby White liked his meeting with Milwaukee last Thursday, logging 34 minutes and shooting 6-13 from three point range en route to a 44 point fantasy night. All the peripherals in the matchup are there again tonight except that White's salary has dropped $2.9k and the fact that the Bulls are at home in this rematch with the Bucks. The reason for the price drop is a 3-13 night shooting Saturday vs. the Nets, but White couldn't get in a rhythm in that one playing in foul trouble, ultimately fouling out. Zach Lavine will play tonight for the Bulls, but he is battling an ankle injury, which leaves the potential for more of the offensive onus to fall on White.
Spencer Dinwiddie (DK: $6,000 FD: $5,800 Y! $19)
Kyrie Irving is questionable to miss his second straight game tonight. That gives a 10% usage and a 5 fantasy point boost to Spencer Dinwiddie. The Pacers have a top 10 defense overall, but are very banged up for this meeting with Brogdon, Sabonis, and Lamb all in danger of missing tonight's game. Dinwiddie has had a couple down fantasy nights, but he's also battled foul trouble with at least 4 in the last three games. Dinwiddie had 16+ field goal attempts in 4 of the last 5 games and got to the free throw line 14 times in the other game over that span. The Nets still run the 2nd highest pace in the league which should give them a big advantage vs. the thin Pacers lineup.
Seth Curry (DK: $3800 FD: $3600 Y! $10)
If you're going to roster a Harden or an Antetokounmpo tonight, you need to find value in other places. Seth Curry would fit that bill as he's moved into the Mavs starting lineup. Curry logged 33 minutes in that role on Saturday, posting some nice peripherals of 6 rebound and 5 assists to go with his 5 of 7 night from the field (35 fp). The reason Curry is a play tonight is because the Mavs are up against the Spurs who have been one of the worst teams defensively vs. the SG position this season. San Antonio has allowed three 45+ fantasy points to the shooting guard in the last five and at least 32 fp in each of those games.

Luka Doncic ($9.8k) has value considering the price tags on tonight's slate. He has a legit shot at a 70 point night vs. San Antonio. James Harden ($12k) has the price, but he also has shot the ball at least 25 times the last 5 games. We could see some street ball when Russell Westbrook ($8.3k) and Damian Lillard ($8.6k) rekindle their hatred tonight as well.
Forwards
TJ Warren (DK: $5,700 FD: $6,000 Y!: $22)
T.J. Warren gets a nice pace boost up against Brooklyn's #2 team in possessions per game. Warren is logging some nice minutes (35 on Saturday) and is the focal point of the offense with injuries to Brogdon, Sabonis, and Lamb, who could all miss tonight. Warren had 21 field goal attempts vs. another very up-tempo team in the Bucks last game. He would have had much better than a 27 point fantasy night if he made more than 6 of those shots. The Nets are decent vs. the SF defense at the wing, but absolutely horrible in the front court defense vs. front court.
Jordan Clarkson (DK: $4,600 FD: $4,900 Y!: $14)
Jordan Clarkson is SF eligible on DraftKings and has good value up against the Knicks' bottom 9 team in defensive efficiency. Cleveland is on a back-to-back, but Clarkson had just 22 minutes off the bench and should be fresh for a trip to the Garden. Clarkson scored 15 points in those 22 minutes despite taking just 9 shots. He had at least 11 shots in each of the 7 games prior and should see a nice minutes boost (and thus more attempts) on the B2B tonight, especially with Kevin Love and Larry Nance, Jr. sitting tonight.
Marcus Morris (DK: $5900 FD: $6500 Y! $22)
Having exposure to a Cavs / Knicks game that has a betting total of 209? Did Myles Garrett connect with a helmet on you or something? It's actually not a bad spot for New York's Marcus Morris, believe it or not. For one, the Cavs are on the back-to-back and will be missing Love and Nance in the front court tonight. That creates improved rebounding percentages for Morris. He gets the shots - 17+ in 3 of the last 5 - but needs those peripherals like the 9 rebound night November 8th at Dallas (48 fantasy points).

What's been so impressive about Paul George's ($8.1k) back to back 49+ fp nights is that he's done it on a minute restriction, averaging just 22 per. If that starts to go up and Leonard and Beverley sit out again, look out - especially vs. the Thunder. Lamarcus Aldridge ($7.3k) is playing in Dallas tonight (his hometown) and had 50 fantasy points Saturday vs. Portland and 50+ the last time he played the Mavs.
Center
Myles Turner (DK: $6,100, FD; $6,900 Y!:$27 )
Myles Turner has a great offense-defense matchup vs. Jarrett Allen and the Nets defense tonight. Brooklyn has allowed 37+ fantasy points to 4 of the last 5 C's and they all play a very similar game to Turner's (Warren Carter, Jr. Nikola Jokic, Rudy Gobert, Hassan Whiteside). Aron Baynes also has a 30.75 point fantasy night in just 18 minutes vs. the Nets in that span. Turner got 14 shot attempts and 11 rebounds over 33 minutes in his first game back from injury on Saturday. The Pacers are missing a bulk of their offensive scoring due to injuries, which should give Turner a nice boost here - especially after shaking off some rust in the last game.

Tristan Thompson ($5.6k) has a great price tag considering the fact that Kevin Love and Larry Nance, Jr. aren't in the lineup to steal rebounds. Aron Baynes ($5.1k) is up against his old squad Boston as well, posting 30+ fp in 5 of his last 6 games. Karl-Anthony Towns ($10.2k)may have trouble hitting value against Rudy Gobert and the #2 defense of the Jazz, but that should also lower his ownership numbers.
There should be some good battles on the court tonight. It's going to be a night you'll definitely want to check out the LineStar chat room.
