Top NBA Plays 11/25 | The Week Upcoming

With the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, it's an interesting week for NBA DFS purposes. There's a loaded 11-game card to kick off Monday but just 2 games Tuesday and none on Thanksgiving. We'll pick and choose our battles this week, ultimately hopefully culminating in being thankful for profits.

Tonight's DFS Headlines

November 25th, 11-game slate.

The Cavs are favored for the very first time this season as they host a Nets team on a back-to-back after beating the Knicks by two yesterday. Cleveland doesn't score, but the betting total is higher at 217.5.

Speaking of don't score, the Magic @ Pistons game is one to either a) ignore or b) attack for contrarian purposes, as the total is just 206.5. These are 2 of the 7 slowest pace teams in the league.

Kemba Walker could miss the game for Boston tonight and oddsmakers are calling their game with the Kings another projected low-scoring affair with an O/U of just 207. Tremont Waters ($3k) has been recalled from the G-League for a possible GPP play.

It's not all slow and prodding plays tonight, as the Timberwolves and Hawks are both top 10 in possessions per game and the betting total for this one is up there at 236.5.

Utah also gets a nice 6.05 possession pace boost when they travel to face the Bucks. The Jazz' #1 defense is going to take a hit tonight - especially if Rudy Gobert misses his second straight game with an ankle injury.

There's no love lost between the Lakers - specifically LeBron James ($11.2k) - and the Spurs. LA has gone 6-1 on the road and wants to win by a much larger margin than the LAL -4.5 spread.

Guards

Evan Fournier DK $6.4k | FD $5.9k

Detroit has averaged less than 110 ppg allowed over the last 3 games but there should still be plenty of opportunities for Orlando's Evan Fournier to score. He shot the ball 23 times on Saturday which should continue as the Magic play without Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic tonight. Jonathan Isaac ($7.9k) is the big benefactor with those two out (+14.3 fp), but is a much bigger risk at nearly $8k. Chicago's Shaq Harrison just scored a 45.25 fp night in 27 minutes vs. the Detroit back court last Wednesday.

It's just a 206.5 betting total for ORL @ DET but Fournier still has value with the Magic injuries.

Malcolm Brogdon DK $6.0k | $8.5k

DraftKings is begging you to roster Malcolm Brogdon tonight as he returns from a back injury. Brogdon's production had waned a bit prior to him missing the last 3 games with a ceiling of 39 in the four games prior. With that price, you don't need a huge night for value, plus Indiana's opponent is the Grizzlies, who have the 8th worst defensive efficiency while running the league's #6 fastest pace. Jamal Murray had his big 67.5 night vs. Ja Morant and Memphis last week.

FanDuel is expecting a full bounce back from injury for Brogdon.

Coby White DK $5.4k | FD $5.2k

Coby White's minutes are an enigma but when he plays, he produces. That was evident Saturday in a 12-19 shooting night in 34 minutes at Charlotte. The last time White went for 30+ minutes, he had a 9-23 shooting night from the field en route to a 44 point fantasy night. The only problem is, there 4 games in between where White logged minutes of 29, 25, 23, and 21. The Bulls play a Portland back court that is exploitable tonight, and the Trail Blazers could be without Hassan Whiteside defending the middle for the 3rd straight game. Chicago's Zach Lavine also didn't do himself any playing time favors over the weekend by criticizing Chicago's coach Jim Boylen saying "you can't trust somebody that doesn't trust you" - so that also bodes well for White.

Coby White has found his way into a nice bulk of perfect lineups in his first month in the league.

๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ‘ Other Likes  / Dislikes ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ€

Trae Young ($9.8k) looks to be in a very up tempo game against Milwaukee tonight and went for 38/8/10 when the teams met up last February (in OT). Donovan Mitchell averages 20.8 fga/game and that number could/should increase even more against Milwaukee's #2 pace tonight.

Forwards

De'Andre Hunter DK $5.6k | FD $5.5k

He has rewarded well lately and no reason to go away from De'Andre Hunter tonight, as the price has stayed manageable and it's Atlanta vs. Milwaukee. The rookie from Virginia has two 25+ real point scoring games in his last three and also had an 11 rebound game mixed in there. Milwaukee just allowed a 50 fantasy point night to Kelly Oubre, Jr. on Saturday and 43 to Bojan Bogdanovic the game prior.

Hunter has the matchup to keep his strong recent play going.

Jayson Tatum $6.9k | $8.2k

Gordon Hayward is already on the bench for the Celtics and it's looking like Kemba Walker will join him tonight with a neck injury. That opens up usage for Jayson Tatum, who gets an 8.3% court time boost with those two out of the lineup. Well, he was always getting the minutes, it's just now more scoring opportunities for the Boston F who has 23+ real points in 4 of the last 6 as it is. The Kings have played much better defense this season, but Sacramento is also on 0 days rest when they visit Boston after playing Washington on Sunday.

Can Tatum get 50+ with Walker out of the lineup tonight?

Andrew Wiggins DK $7.6k | $8.4k

Might as well attack the Hawks @ T'Wolves matchup considering the betting total is 236, the highest number of the night. Andrew Wiggins has lost a little rhythm after missing three games, but in the two tilts since returning he's at least gotten the minutes (34,36) and the field goal attempts (24, 21). Wiggins has yet to break a 40 point fantasy night in either of those games but has a great matchup with the Hawks who have the 5th worst defensive efficiency in the league. This is also a battle of 2 of the top 9 teams in pace, so the opportunities will be there.

Wiggins was a 50+ point machine before missing those three games.

๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Other Likes / Dislikes ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ€

LeBron James ($11.2k) has reinvented himself this season as more of a facilitator. One thing that will probably remain constant is his disdain for the Spurs though, after averaging 36 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists vs. San Antonio last year. It could be Jaylen Brown ($6.8k) that gets the boost in Walker's absence for Boston. As one LineStar user pointed out, Lauri Markkanen ($5.5k) has the price and matchup vs. Portland but isn't "a play for the faint of heart."

Center

Bam Adebayo DK $7.1k | FD $8.8k

There are some headliner bigs on tonight's slate including Towns and Embiid which should help keep the ownership low for Bam Adebayo. The Miami C has a favorable matchup with Charlotte, who has allowed above average DFS output to Wendell Carter Jr., Thomas Bryant, and Jarrett Allen over the last 3 games. The Hornets have allowed that trio to shoot 24/34 (71%) and Allen had a 17 rebound night last Thursday. Adebayo is coming off a horrible 19 fp outing on Saturday, but played just 26 minutes as the Heat were getting beat by 27 on leg two of the back-to-back. Here's hoping Charlotte doesn't return the favor of getting blown out as +10.5 road underdogs tonight.

๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ‘ Other Likes / Dislikes ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ€

You gotta figure Karl-Anthony Towns ($10.4k) in the T'Wolves @ Hawks game that has a total of 236. Joel Embiid ($8.8k) has been held to 50 fp or less in four straight and faces the #1 defense vs. the C in Toronto. Tristan Thompson ($6.8k) has a very favorable matchup with a Nets team that is atrocious on the blocks defensively but is also in a back-to-back.

C ownership is all over the board tonight

Lots of options and angles to pursue in such a jam-packed slate. The opposite occurs tomorrow night with just a 2-gamer but it's a great opportunity to put varying strategies in play.
