Guards
D'Angelo Russell, BKN [@PHO] (DK: $8.2k, FD: $8k)
Look who's back, he appeared here on Friday and did you well, and he returns today. He's got another primo matchup versus the 30th ranked defense versus starting point guards allowing 47 whopping fantasy points per game. Vegas has this game as the highest scoring and only 1.5 point spread to keep the game close. In a 3 game slate, this is the obvious game to target so why not grab the #1 option, coming off a weekend of rest.
Klay Thompson GS [vs MIA] (DK: $6.9k, FD: $7.2k)
Lets preface this by saying this; Vegas has this game as a blowout currently with Golden State favored to win by 15.5. However it's only a 3-game slate, and the 2nd highest scoring game, so it'll be hard to avoid. So you're going to need some exposure to this game, why not start with one of the lower salary starters for Golden State because he's got the best matchup on the team, Miami is ranked 26th against starting shooting guards, allowing 32 FPPG.
Mike James, PHO [vs BKN] (DK: $5.3k, FD: $5.8k)
The other side of the matchup mentioned above. Facing off versus the Nets who are ranked 26th against starting point guards, allowing 40 FPPG. The last time Mike James faced the Nets on Halloween he wasn't joking around and put up 46 fantasy points. Mike only played 20 minutes last night, so he should be semi fresh for this game, that should end up a high scoring shootout.
Forwards
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, BKN [@PHO] (DK: $5.9k, FD: $6.7k)
He's been about as consistent of a player this season as they come. In a small slate, he'll be a nice asset to plug into your lineup at this price point. He put up 38 fantasy points when they faced off on Halloween, 5 of his 9 games he's exceeded the 30 fantasy point mark. In this high scoring and close game, he should have no problem doing that again tonight.
Kelly Olynyk, MIA [@GS] (DK: $5.2k, FD: $4.1k)
Hassan Whiteside has only played 3 games since coming back from his knee injury and this is the first back to back where he just played 31 minutes last night, not to mention Vegas has this game as a blowout. Whiteside will likely not get in a full workload tonight, if he even plays, so look to Olynyk to get back to around the number of minutes he was playing earlier in the season when Whiteside was off the court. He's an absolute steal on FanDuel.
Luke Babbitt, ATL [vs BOS] DK: $3.4k, FD: $3.8k)
Salary saver Luke tonight, we'll have to see if he ends up in the starting lineup again though. He had a very nice performance last when in the starting lineup, which makes 3 games in a row where he's seen over 25 minutes. He's still at near bottom salary, and Boston is ranked 28th against starting power forwards, allowing 33 FPPG. He likely won't take 8 three point shots like he did last night, but he still has a great shot to break 20 fantasy points, and at this salary in a small slate could be just what you need.
Centers
Hassan Whiteside, MIA [@GS] (DK: $7k, FD: $8.7k)
There are a lot of things screaming fade here; it's a back to back, still coming back from a knee injury, the game should be a blow out, etc. However, if he plays, you might not want to totally fade him, as far as any player goes on this slate, Whiteside might have the highest ceiling tonight. If by some miracle, the game ends up closer than expected, and the knee is not a concern, he would be the main reason Miami is close in the game, meaning a monster game. I certainly wouldn't be putting him into cash lineups, but in tournaments he's in play, especially at this price in DraftKings.
Tyson Chandler, PHO [vs BKN] (DK: $4.9k, FD: $4.1k)
Center is a void tonight, lot of pitfalls to avoid. Chandler is the boring option without much upside. He should have a safe floor though, playing in the closest and highest scoring game of the night. If you want to play it safe and have the salary, go with Chandler; The Nets are ranked 27th against starting centers, allowing 34 FPPG.
JaVale McGee, GS [vs MIA] (DK: $3.1k, FD: $3k)
Common theme tonight; Center is a rough position tonight. Break in case of blowout. JaVale McGee generally sees 10-15 minutes of action when games become a blowout. If Vegas is right tonight, that will be the case rather early. Last season McGee was known to break 30 fantasy points with only around 11 minutes of blowout action, so why not take a chance on him when all of the conditions are right and the position is hard to feel confident picking anyone.
