Top NBA Plays 11/6 | Return to Pointsville
There wasn't a complete lack of offense on Tuesday, but 4 of the 12 teams in action did score less than 102 points in what looked like a very defensive oriented six game slate
For enduring yesterday's schedule, the NBA has granted us a 9-game Wednesday card. Four of those tilts have totals in the 220s and four teams are playing on the back end of consecutive games. Looks like some good opportunities on paper, so let's bring them to life:
Tonight's DFS Headlines
While the cat was away, the mouse got some play as James Harden ($11,200) had a retro fantasy night with 74 points on Monday while Russell Westbrook ($9400) sat for load management. Does Harden have a blood lust now and have a repeat when the Rockets host the Warriors - or does that HOU -16.5 betting line mean minimal minutes?
Speaking of rest, the staycation is over for Karl-Anthony Towns ($10,000) who returns from his 2-game suspension. The Timberwolves visit the Grizzlies in a matchup of the #1 and #4 teams in pace. The O/U is 224 in this one.
Also speaking of forced vacations, Atlanta's John Collins has been given 25 games off after testing positive for a banned growth hormone. Trae Young ($9100) gets a 15 point fantasy boost in Collins' absence according to the LineStar usage Matrix. The Hawks host Chicago tonight with both teams on 0 days rest.
Are Mavs players worth a roster tonight? They are playing Orlando but the Magic are on the back end of consecutive games. Luka Doncic ($9800) doesn't look like a bad option to build a lineup around after back-to-back 74+ point fantasy scores.
The Clippers are just 24th in the NBA in pace, but they make the most of their possessions with the league's #3 offensive efficiency. LAC meets the team with the #2 offensive efficiency when they host the Bucks tonight in a game that has a betting total of 227. Kawhi Leonard has been ruled out for rest however.
Guards
Isaiah Thomas (DK: $5,300 FD: $5,600 Y! $12)
His price continues to climb but there is still a lot of upside on Isaiah Thomas in Wednesday's matchup with the Pacers. The biggest thing going for I.T. is that Indiana was in a 120-122 OT tilt with Charlotte last night. Malcolm Brogdon logged 39 minutes in that game and Jeremy Lamb 38, so it's a very tired Indiana backcourt. There's not a lot of reinforcements for the Pacers either, as Edmond Sumner is also out with a hand injury and Doug McDermott is playing through a sore left foot. Thomas has moved into the starting lineup for the Wizards and still had 25 fantasy points in 24 minutes on Monday despite going 4-12 from the field.
Luka Doncic (DK: $9800 FD: $11,000 Y! $46)
It's Luka Doncic vs. James Harden in this price slot. Harden has the return of Russell Westbrook to sabotage some of his scoring while Doncic is up against Orlando's slowest pace in the league and top 10 defense. Doncic is playing at a level that transcends whoever his opponent is right now (to quote The Rock, "it doesn't matter."). Doncic has a triple double in consecutive games with 75 and 74 fantasy points respectively. One of those outings was a 31/13/15 night that Doncic had against his idol, LeBron James. Oh by the way, James has a triple-double in three straight - you don't think Doncic doesn't want to match that feat? Orlando playing on the back end of consecutive games doesn't hurt either.
Tyus Jones (DK: $4000 FD: $4200 Y! $10)
Time to find some value on this slate and there's a lot to like from Memphis' Tyus Jones. First off, he's in a very up-pace game as the Timberwolves are tops in pace and the Grizzlies 4th. Jones spent the first 4 years of his career with Minnesota and will have his first matchup against his former team tonight. It also doesn't hurt that the Timberwolves could be without their top two options at the PG position with both Jeff Teague (illness) and Shabazz Napier (hamstring) will likely miss this game. Just a solid overall upside for Jones here.

Everybody is worried about Harden's drop from a 74 point fantasy night but what about an increase in Russell Westbrook's ($9,400) coming in fresh from a Monday night game off? Houston does have a matchup with the depleted Warriors, but could also blow them out as about 16 point favorites. The other end of the price spectrum in that game is GSW's Jordan Poole ($4500) who had 16 shots last game for the Warriors. Is it time to get your toes wet here with Poole?
Forwards
Eric Paschall (DK: $6,500 FD: $6900 Y!: $21)
The jump-off-the-bandwagon game is coming but not quite yet for Golden State's Eric Paschall. Some people hadn't even heard of the rookie from Villanova as of about a week ago but he's put up 35 and 57 fantasy points the last two for the depleted Warriors. The Golden State front court continues to be thin with Draymond Green and Kevon Looney out and Paschall should have the same amount of opportunities with D'Angelo Russell possibly missing his third straight game with an ankle injury. Those opportunities have been nice lately, with Paschall taking 18 and 19 shots the last two. Oh and by the way, GSW is in a matchup with Houston 28th ranked unit in defensive efficiency with an O/U of 232 for tonight.
The LineStar Usage Matrix was built for situations like Golden State missing about half of their roster.
Bojan Bogdanovic (DK: $5,700 FD: $5,600 Y!: $21)
Bojan Bogdanovic is looking like the Elmer's Presents "Glue Guy of the Night" for cash games. The Jazz F should give a solid 32 point floor as he's taken 18, 13, 11, 12, and 17 shots over the last 5 games. Utah has a favorable matchup vs. the Sixers with a slight pace differential. Overall, Philadelphia is solid with a top 10 team defensive efficiency. They do have their issues with opposing SF's though, giving up an average of 21.1 points and 6.1 rebounds over the last 20. The Sixers also rank 27th in the NBA in opponents 3-point percentage.
Bojan Bogdanovic is 19th in the NBA in 3-point attempts per game. Among those 19 players, he is fourth in 3-point percentage. His 45 percent clip will surely go down, but it will be interesting to see if Quin Snyder tries to get him more attempts and if he can remain elite

JaMychal Green (DK: $3900 FD: $4000 Y! $11)
Not a bad price for the Clippers' JaMychal Green with Kawhi Leonard sitting today. The last time Leonard was out for load management, Green had 23 points and 8 boards in 27 minutes. Granted, his 37 point fantasy night was helped greatly by going 5-6 from 3-point range but that was also in a slower paced game with Utah's 29th ranked squad in possessions per game and #1 defensive efficiency. LAC has Milwaukee tonight, the league's #6 ranked team in pace. Green has an 8.71 fantasy point increase with Leonard out and for that price and for this opponent, it's worth a roster spot.

Khris Middleton ($7000) should also benefit from Leonard's absence in a high scoring game but that's a big price tag for a player who has broken 25 fp just once in his last three games. Jabari Parker ($6700) steps in for John Collins for a while after posting 37 and 33 fp the last two. He logged 32 minutes Tuesday though and has never really been known as a 'cardio guy.' Troy Brown ($4500) could be a nice sleeper play as the Wizards play a tired and hurt Pacers squad.
Center
Karl-Anthony Towns (DK: $10,000, FD; $11,100 Y!:$53 )
Welcome Back, Mr. KAT-ter. Karl-Anthony Towns returns refreshed and probably with a little bit of an edge after his skirmish with Joel Embiid that resulted in a 2-game suspension for both players. A couple Timberwolves players had decent games in Towns' absence (Andrew Wiggins 37 fppg last two) but the big dog is back. KAT is in a fast paced game with Memphis tonight and had 33 points and 23 boards vs. the Grizzlies last March. Towns has an 82 point fantasy game this year - and in just 28 minutes of usage. It's the reason LineStar users such as @Alisia think a 100 fantasy point night isn't out of the realm of possibility.
Is it being greedy or would Towns getting 'only' the 71.25 points he did last time vs. Memphis be a disappointment?

Do you think Andre Drummond ($10,800) would like to get paid this offseason? He's averaging a career high 19.3 ppg so far and is putting up Chamberlain-Russell type rebounding numbers of 19.3 boards per game. Drummond has 20+ boards in four straight and has also hoisted at least 16 shots in each of those contests. Drummond's presence ruins the value of one of the few value C's on the slate too in Julius Randle ($6800) as the Knicks visit the Pistons.
Good luck to all tonight. The ole' slim pickins' Thursday slate is on tap but it's actually not bad with 4 games scheduled for tomorrow night.
