Guards

Kyrie Irving, BOS [vs LAL] (DK: $8.8k, FD: $8.9k)

Irving is going to be extremely highly owned tonight in this relatively small 5-game slate. For good reasons, he's facing the Lakers who are 29th against opposing point guards, giving up 42 FPPG. His coach has indicated he's been wanting to get Kyrie more involved in the offense, and since those statements he's held true to his word. It's close to a blow out range, with Boston being favored by 8.5, but it's not a huge concern. There are two ways this goes, Kyrie is a must play in your lineup, or you avoid him, and hope he flops and burns a huge percentage of lineups. Take your pick, it'll be one of those tonight.

Dion Waiters, MIA [@PHO] (DK: $5.7k, FD: $6k)

Waiters has a great opportunity tonight, he's facing the Suns who are ranked 24th against shooting guards, giving up 31 FPPG. He also has an extremely high ceiling any given night, and at the low salary of 6k or less. He's taken the last 2 games off, because of the birth of his baby daughter, who he will no doubt dedicate his return game to her. So he's well rested because he hasn't played ball in 5 days now, but he also probably hasn't slept much.. so how well rested is he? We shall find out tonight, expect Daddy Dion to Dominate tonight.

Jordan Clarkson, LAL [@BOS] (DK: $4.2k, FD: $4.1k)

If you decide to fade Irving, you can build a story to include Clarkson as the game likely became a blowout early, forcing him into heavy usage. Regardless, he's played extremely well in 2 straight games, eclipsing 30 fantasy points in 20-25 minutes a piece.

Forwards

Tobias Harris, DET [vs IND] (DK: $6.6k, FD: $6.9k)

The Pacers have been getting smashed by power forwards, over the last 20 games they are ranked dead last, allowing 36 FPPG. On the Pacers side, Sabonis is out tonight, which leaves them short-handed again with Thaddeus Young left to play extended minutes once again, in a back to back. Harris is sitting on 4 days rest, and should be ready to run circles around the Pacers tonight.

Brandon Ingram, LAL [@BOS] (DK: $5.9k, FD: $6k)

Ingram has been averaging nearly 33 minutes a game on the season. Over the last 5 games, he's averaged 32 FPPG with a 41 point ceiling. At this price range, Ingram makes for a very nice play, given he sees 30+ minutes again tonight, he's got a very high floor, and decent sized ceiling. The Celtics are ranked 28th versus small forwards, allowing 35 FPPG.

Shabazz Muhammad, MIN [@GS] (DK: $3.8k, FD: $3k)

WARNING: Don't blindly play Muhammad! This is a story play.. he would be a piece in a lineup where you're building around the story of the Warriors blowing out Minnesota quickly. Which would result in Muhammad maybe seeing upwards of 20 minutes. What other pieces would you want to include in a lineup like this? No other Minnesota starters, maybe 1 or 2 Warrior backups, and then concentrate on stacking more pricey guys in other games, like Irving and Drummond.

Centers

Centers Thriving Against Pacers This Year

Andre Drummond, DET [vs IND] (DK: $8.4k, FD: $9.4k)

He's one of the more expensive center options tonight, but he's also been incredibly consistent this season. He has an interesting matchup tonight, because facing Myles Turner is not ideal, but also Turner is on a back to back, and coming back from a concussion, so he could certainly be limited or not even suit up. The Pacers are short handed with big men tonight, with Domantas Sabonis out again.

Hassan Whiteside, MIA [@PHO] (DK: $7.4k, FD: $9k)

He makes for a much better DraftKings play, as his salary is significantly lower. He got called out for being lazy by his coach, and will no doubt want to bounce back with some extra effort tonight. It's not an ideal matchup for him, but at his DraftKings salary he can certainly put up enough points to be worth it, and has a very high ceiling.

Tyson Chandler, PHO [vs MIA] (DK: $4.3 FD: $4.6k)

He laid a complete dud in his last outing, but he's bounced right back from his 2 other poor games this season. Tonight is another tough night at center, you can either decide to go expensive and get a safer center option, or take a risk on a cheap center like Chandler and hope he scores more than someone like Kanter who people will be paying more for. Miami is currently ranked 21st against centers, allowing 32 FPPG, so it's a nice matchup for Chandler provided he bounces back.
