Top NBA Plays 12/13 | Krampus, Is That You?
Having a Friday the 13th this close to Christmas gives a very spooky vibe. Does that mean anything can happen in the NBA tonight. Does Houston get held to 80 points? Do we see Dwayne Bacon sizzle for a 50 fp night? Do the Knicks actually put together a winning streak? OK, let's not get too crazy on this 9 game slate.
Tonight's DFS Headlines
Rockets @ Magic
Houston tops the league in pace, but Orlando has a top 10 defense. Somethings got to give when these two teams meet up tonight. The Magic have held 6 of 9 opponents to 104 points or less but does James Harden ($12.6k) just transcend matchups right now?
Bucks @ Grizzlies
Eric Bledsoe stepped up in Giannis Antetokounmpo's absence last game with 29 points on 10-13 shooting. Khris Middleton got 22 shots without the Freak in the lineup and he could miss tonight again vs. Memphis with quad soreness.
Lakers @ Heat
Do Anthony Davis ($10.1k) and LeBron James ($10k) lose value at Miami where the Heat are 11-0 on the season. On the flip side, does Jimmy Butler ($9.5k) gain value trying to beat a team from L.A.?
Warriors @ Jazz
Utah does well against bad teams, scoring 126 vs. Memphis and 127 vs. the Timberwolves over their last three. The Warriors definitely qualify as bad, although their defense is "improving" up to 23rd worst in efficiency. Draymond Green and Eric Paschall are likely to miss tonight's game as well.
Pacers @ Hawks
We don't normally think of Indiana as an offensive juggernaut, but they put up 122 last game vs. the Celtics stellar defense and get a nice pace boost vs. Atlanta tonight. The Hawk have also allowed 130+ in 3 of the last 4.
Clippers @ Timberwolves
LAC is a good team to target tonight as Minnesota has allowed 120+ points in 4 straight games. The Clippers could have a down game though, as it's their 5th straight on the road.
Pelicans at 76ers
76ers are on a back-to-back after giving Boston their first home loss of the season last night 115-109. Even on 0 days rest, are the Sixers a good target vs. a New Orleans defense that has given up 127+ points in 3 of the last 4?
Guards
Devonte Graham DK $8.3k | FD $7.9k
Chicago has been playing good defense in allowing 4 of the last 5 opponents to 102 points or less. Devonte Graham is a must play as of late though, mostly because he's a launcher from beyond the arc with 10+ 3-point attempts in 5 of the last 6. Chicago has the #3 ranked 3-point defense in the league, but also have 9 guys on the injury report tonight.
Eric Bledsoe DK $6.7k | FD $6.7
Eric Bledsoe at under $7k is a must play, especially if Giannis Antetokounmpo is going to sit a second straight game. Bledsoe probably won't repeat his 10-13 shooting performance from last game against the Pelicans. Then again, the Bucks are facing Memphis in a matchup of two of the top 6 teams in pace in the league. The Grizzlies' defense is also in the bottom 10 in the league and they'll be a man down with Ja Morant sitting tonight to rest his back.
D'Angelo Russell DK $7.7k | FD $8.3k
D'Angelo Russell should have a ๐ฆGreen Light Game๐ฆ with both Draymond Green (rest) and Eric Paschall (hip) out tonight. The Warriors do have a tough matchup on paper with Utah's #11 defense, but the Jazz have allowed 120+ in 2 of the last 4. Plus, who else is going to shoot for Golden State? Russell has 22 and 27 shot attempts the last two games including 10+ from beyond the arc.

Tyus Jones ($3.7k) and/or De'Anthony Melton ($3.9k) are in a great spot with Morant out for Memphis and against Milwaukee's #2 pace that may be missing Antetokounmpo.
Forwards
Domantas Sabonis DK $8.1k | $9k
Indiana gets a nice pace boost tonight against an Atlanta defense that is the 3rd worst in the league. The Hawks have given up 40+ fp to Taurean Prince and P.J. Washington in their last four, which bodes well for Domantas Sabonis at the PF spot tonight. The Pacers big man has 45+ fp in four straight games and has 13+ rebounds in 6 consecutive games. Atlanta has the 3rd worst offensive rebounding squad in the league as well.
Thaddeus Young DK $4.2k | FD $4k
The Bulls are banged up right now and as a result, Thaddeus Young got his most minutes of the season last game with 33. He responded well, going 7-16 from the floor with 6 assists and 9 rebounds. That was against Atlanta - but Chicago is in another favorable matchup tonight vs. Charlotte's 2nd worst overall defense that is also 28th vs. the PF position, allowing 50+ fp per 48 minutes to that spot. Are the Bulls possibly showcasing Young for a trading partner?
Aaron Gordon DK $6.7k | FD $6.7k
Aaron Gordon looks like a good price under $7k with the best pace boost of the night vs. Houston. Gordon has been performing well with two 40+ fp nights in the last four even though Orlando has only scored more than 101 points just once over that span. Gordon has at least 11 shot attempts in each of the last 7 games since returning from an ankle injury and has 13+ boards in each of the last two. Nikola Vucevic (ankle) and Markelle Fultz (illness) could both still be out tonight which only helps Gordon's production.
Gordon should be in line for a productive night even if the likes of Vucevic and Fultz play (although it would be better if they didn't).

TJ Warren ($5k) has great value vs. Atlanta's #30 defense vs. the SF position. Marvin Bagley ($6.2k) is priced a little higher than you'd expect in his 2nd game since returning from injury. Then again, the Kings have the Knicks' 6th worst defense tonight. Tobias Harris ($7.2k) hit 7X value last night vs. Boston and has a great matchup vs. New Orleans - but also the back to back.
Center
Jonas Valanciunas DK $6.5k | FD $8k
The Grizzlies play the Bucks and their #2 pace tonight. Milwaukee also has the best defensive efficiency squad in the league but is a -10.5 road favorite and may be without the services of Antetokounmpo. Jonas Valanciunas hasn't broken the 33fp barrier in any of the last 3 games, but he's still not that far removed from the guy who took 17+ shot attempts in 3 games in late November/early December. Valanciunas eclipsed the 50fp mark in all three of those tilts and should get opportunities with both Ja Morant and Brandon Clarke out tonight for the Griz.

Is it time to jump off the Bam Adebayo ($8.5k) train after he's posted 50+ fp in three straight but against Washington, Chicago, and Atlanta? The Heat have a tough matchup with the Lakers tonight.
