The December slate kicks off with 6 games scheduled for tonight. It's a new month which means a new Excel spread sheet gets opened up. Let's start banking that loot for the holidays and get this month rolling right away.

Tonight's DFS Headlines

Ja Morant will miss his 2nd straight of many in the Pacers @ Grizzlies game and Jonas Valanciunas ($7.5k) is also a GTD (illness). Memphis put up 115 points in the 1st game without Morant, but that was against Minnesota's fast pace. Indiana is way down there at 20th in possessions per game.

The Knicks @ Bucks game is an expected blowout with Milwaukee a -16.5 favorite. Milwaukee won by 41 at Charlotte and Giannis Antetokounmpo ($12k) played only 19 minutes, scoring 45 fp. 5 Bucks bench players scored in double figures that game.

Do we still target the Golden State defense in the Warriors @ Hawks game? GSW is in the bottom 5 in defensive efficiency, but have held 3 of the last 4 opponents to 100 points or less. Is it better to look at the Golden State offense in this one? Atlanta has allowed 120+ in 7 of 10, including giving up 150+ twice over that span.

Phoenix has to downshift in the Suns @ Hornets game because of Charlotte's slower pace. Devin Booker ($8.2k) didn't seem to mind that when the teams met up last January, as he had 32 points and dished out 11 assists.

The Jazz @ Sixers game is expected to be low scoring with a betting total of just 208 with two of the top 11 defenses in the league in action. Chicago has been a hard watch on offense lately with a high water mark of 103 points in the last 3 games. The Bulls @ Kings O/U is 211.

Guards

Devonte Graham DK $7.2k | FD $7.4k

One of the best bets for a 7X night is Devonte Graham, who had 15 assists en route to a 50 fp outing on November 27th. That was against the Pistons defense, and tonight's tilt with Phoenix is much more favorable in terms of pace (+4.46) and the fact that the Suns have been getting lit up by opposing PGs. Graham has 14+ field goal attempts in 6 of the last 7 games and the Suns allow an average of 6.6 assists per game to opposing PGs.

Ky Bowman DK $5.1k | FD $5.8k

Is Ky Bowman about to go all Lionel Ritchie with a 'dancing on the ceiling' game vs. the Hawks? The Warriors PG does have a couple of those recently with a 7/16 night vs. Utah (42fp) on November 22nd and going 9/17 (45fp) a couple nights later vs. OKC. Golden State is on the back end of consecutive games which moves Bowman into the starting PG spot. He played 28 minutes yesterday in the 96-100 loss to Orlando, but Alec Burks and Glenn Robinson both logged 36+ ahead of him. Draymond Green is sitting tonight (rest), and the Warriors have a very solid matchup with an Atlanta team that gave up 158 points to Houston on Saturday.

Zach LaVine DK $7.9k | FD $7.9k

Might as well get in on Zach Lavine in one more game under $8k. The Bulls SG has launched at least 24 field goal attempts in 3 of the last 4 games and has posted a 59 and a 61 fp night over that span. LaVine is more than just a shooter as well, as he has at least 5 assists in each of the last three games and has 5+ rebounds in each of the last two. Buddy Hield just gave up a 42.25 fp night to Gary Harris on Saturday, well above his 16.4 average. 3 of the last 4 SG's have gotten at least 16 shots vs. the Kings defense so attempts shouldn't be a problem for LaVine tonight - not that they ever are.

Buddy Hield ($7.1k) has 20+ shots in three straight games but has only eclipsed 41 fp once over that span. The Golden State defense has been showing improvements, but their back court is very tired on 0 days rest. Trae Young ($10.5k) and/or Allen Crabbe ($3.7k) reap the benefits there.

Forwards

Khris Middleton DK $5.7k | $6.4k

Khris Middleton should have some easy skating tonight vs. the Knicks. The Bucks are -16.5 favorites vs. a New York squad that lost by 9 to Boston on Sunday. Middleton has been coming off the bench anyway since his return from a thigh contusion but still had 14 shots in 16 minutes in Milwaukee's 40+ point win over Charlotte on Saturday. There are reports of Middleton moving into the starting lineup tonight in place of Wesley Matthews, which is perfect timing as it's his lowest salary of the season.

Jeremy Lamb DK $6.3k | FD $6.7k

Jeremy Lamb had one of his best shooting nights since returning from injury on Saturday, unfortunately his 5-9 night from the field came on his fewest attempts. Lamb had hoisted at least 15 shots in the three games prior and should be able to have a solid offensive night vs. a Memphis team on the back leg of consecutive games. Lamb has at least 4 assists and 4 rebounds in 3 of the last 4, it's just time to put it all together against the Grizzlies' #7 pace and #23 ranked defensive efficiency - that is also on the back-to-back.

Dario Saric DK $5.9k | FD $5.4k

Dario Saric has a 45 and a 48 fp night over his last three due largely in part to a couple big rebounding nights (12, 17). Tonight the Suns are up against the worst offensive rebounding team in the league in Charlotte (41.3) and who are also in the bottom 10 in defensive boards/game. The Phoenix PF has seen a nice minutes uptick (33+ in three straight) which should continue with Aron Baynes (calf), Mikal Bridges (quad), Cam Johnson (illness) and Cheick Diallo (illness) all on the injury report for the Suns tonight.

Julius Randle ($7.3k) would be in a great spot vs. Milwaukee but is that price too high with the Knicks on a back-to-back and Randle playing 34 minutes? Kelly Oubre, Jr. ($7k) could be the Suns F play as he has 48+ fp in 2 of the last 4.

Center

Jonas Valanciunas DK $7.5k | FD $7.6k

Make sure to plug him into the LineStar lineup optimizer, but Jonas Valanciunas is in a great spot tonight - if he plays (GTD illness). The Memphis big man sat yesterday vs. the Timberwolves, but he's fresh whereas four other Grizzlies players logged at least 28 minutes in an up tempo game against Minnesota. Valanciunas had been putting up some monster numbers prior to sitting out, averaging 16.5 rebounds, 17 field goal attempts, and 33 minutes in the last two games. He gets a 9.31 fp boost with Ja Morant out of the lineup as well, which should help Valanciunas improve on the 14 point, 10 rebound performance November 25th against tonight's opponent, Indiana.

Joel Embiid ($10.3k) is your big name big man on tonight's slate. He's gone for 57+ fp in three straight but has a tough matchup against Rudy Gobert ($7.4k) and the Jazz tonight. Robin Lopez ($4.4k) could have some value vs. the Knicks if his brother Brook sits again (doubtful-back)
