In what has to be just a strange coincidence and not a ratings grab, Zion Williamson is healthy enough to make his debut tonight in the ESPN nationally televised game when the Pelicans host the Spurs. Fran Fraschilla said on the Dan Patrick Show this morning that he could see Zion getting 25 right off the bat - even if he just meant 25 minutes, it would be considered a success. DraftKings has opened Williamson's pricing at $5k, literally the lowest we may ever see the #1 pick.

That's far from the only game on tonight's card though. Since there was only 1 game yesterday, there's a dozen on tap in this slate. That's a lot of options.

Tonight's DFS Headlines

Kings @ Pistons

There's a lot of ugly in this game even though the betting total seems a bit high at 222. Both of these squads are bottom 10 in pace.

Thunder @ Magic

OKC has won four straight in this series including a low scoring 102-94 victory back in November. Expect another defensive struggle with a betting total of 209 here.

76ers @ Raptors

Two teams that have won a combined 8 in a row meet up tonight in Toronto. The Raptors have averaged nearly 130 points during their four game win streak and they are finally healthy. The Philly defense has held 2 of the last 3 opponents to under 90 points though.

Clippers @ Hawks

LA has won 6 of 7 in the series with the Hawks and put up 150 points vs. Atlanta on November 16th.

Grizzlies @ Celtics

Boston had lost 3 in a row, but bounced back nicely in a 32 point win over the Lakers on Monday. The Celtics try to avoid a letdown in what should be a high scoring game vs. Memphis with the O/U at 233.

Wizards @ Heat

Washington could be in trouble against the best home team in the NBA, as the Heat are 19-1 in South Beach. Washington gave up 140 points in their last road game at Toronto on Friday. Jimmy Butler (hip) sat the last game for Miami.

Lakers @ Knicks

L.A. is going to come out angry after suffering their worst loss of the season last time out vs. Boston. This meeting has 💣Blowout Game 💣potential after the Lakers won 113-87 back on January 7th.

Timberwolves @ Bulls

Minnesota is on a 6-game losing streak, but should be able to ride Karl-Anthony Towns tonight vs. the Bulls' 30th ranked interior defense. The T'Wolves have won 7 of 8 in the series.

Nuggets @ Rockets

James Harden is coming off a 1-17 three point shooting night vs. the Thunder and is just 9 for his last 51 overall. Houston has won 11 of the last 13 vs. the banged up Nuggets though, and put up 130 points on New Year's Eve.

Pacers @ Suns

The Pacers have won 7 of 8 in this series but are coming off a 30 point loss to the Jazz on Monday. Devin Booker has 37+ real points in 3 of 4 but Indiana has a top 5 defense vs. the SG.

Spurs @ Pelicans

DraftKings has opened the pricing for Zion Williamson at $5k, not a bad price vs. a poor Spurs interior defense. Will Brandon Ingram's usage go down after averaging 31/6/6 the last three games?

Jazz @ Warriors

Utah has found an offense to go with their solid defense, putting up 118+ points in five straight games. That should continue, as the Jazz have gone 3-0 so far vs. the Warriors this season.

Guards

Kendrick Nunn DK $6.1k | FD $5.4k

Extremely good value on FD for Kendrick Nunn up against Washington's #24 ranked defense vs. the PG position. Jimmy Butler (hip) and Goran Dragic (knee) are probable but limited - and should be the first ones off the court if this game gets out of hand. Nunn put up a 25/7/6 line with Butler out last game and has 22+ real points and 17+ shots in 3 of the last 4.

Zach LaVine DK $9k | FD $8.8k

Zach LaVine is probably going to be a must-play over the next month, as he's the Bulls' best chance to have a representative when the All-Star Game comes to Chicago on February 16th. That's especially true tonight vs. the Timberwolves who are still up there at 3rd in the league in pace but also 26th dVp against the SG. LaVine took 31 shots two games ago against Cleveland and has gone for 42+ real points in 2 of his last 3 home games.

Lou Williams DK $7.3k | FD $6.3k

Lou Williams looks to be in a 🔒Lock Spot🔒 in an up-temp game with Atlanta and with Kawhi Leonard likely sitting on the back end of consecutive games. Patrick Beverley also left last night's game with a groin injury and is unlikely to play tonight. Who knows what Paul George's minutes will be in his first game back from a hamstring injury? With all three of those players off the court, Williams gets a 16fp boost. Williams had a poor shooting night last night, but did get his opportunities with 19 shots including 11 three point attempts. If a few more of those fall tonight, this has ceiling written all over it.

Devin Booker ($8.7k) has hovered around 6X in 3 of the last 4 and his ownership should be down against Indiana's defense.

Not a great spot for Alec Burks ($6.4k) to follow up his 61fp performance from Monday but Utah is his old team.

Forwards

Michael Porter DK $6.6k | FD $5.3k

Gotta stick with Michael Porter, Jr. right now, especially on FD. The Nuggets continue to fight through injuries to Gary Harris, Jamal Murray, and Paul Millsap and now Mason Plumlee which has opened up (finally) some playing time for the rookie. Porter, Jr. had 20/14/4 for a 49 fp night while still not breaking the 30 minute threshold. The Nuggets get the best pace boost of the night vs. Houston, which should mean another 6X night minimum.

Zion Williamson DK $5k | FD $4.5k

A 30fp debut for 6X on national TV shouldn't be out of the question for Zion Williamson, should it? He's playing at home and the Spurs rank 26th in the NBA in defensive efficiency. We're all going to be watching this game anyway, so might as well take a flier for the price.

Danilo Gallinari DK $6.9k | FD $5.9k

Ownership should be down for Danilo Gallinari vs. Orlando tonight but that FanDuel price makes him a near must-play. The Thunder forward has a floor of 40fp in 4 of his last 6 games as he has gone for 23 real points in six straight. The Magic do have the #6 defense in the league, but they've allowed a 20/9 night to Eric Paschall and a 34/7 line to Nemanja Bjelica over the last 5 games at the PF position.

Montrezl Harrell ($6.8k) is in a great spot against an Atlanta D that's ranked 22nd vs. Center reserves.

Center

Karl-Anthony Towns DK $10.4k | FD $10.1

Tonight should be the breakout night for Karl-Anthony Towns up against Chicago's #27 ranked defense vs. the C position. The Bulls have been better vs. the big man over the last 5, but they've also faced the likes of Ian Mahinmi, Brook Lopez, and Enes Kanter over that span. Towns logged 35 minutes Monday vs. Denver (28 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists), his most in the three games since returning from a knee injury which means full usage is expected tonight.

Bam Adebayo ($8.4k) is a) at home where the Heat are 19-1 b) up against Washington's #27 defense vs. the C and c) possibly without Jimmy Butler's usage.
