ICYMI, our *NEW* Usage Matrix tool is now live LineStar website. Allows you to see how players perform when teammates are off the court during the game or even for entire games.
Guards
John Wall, WAS [@DAL] (DK: $9.4k, FD: $10.1k)
John Wall has had 2 poor performances in a row, which should help drive his ownership down a bit today, both of the games were a bit of an anomaly so he should be able to bounce back today. Facing the Mavericks who are are ranked 25th against starting point guards allowing 36 fantasy points per game. In 3 years Wall hasn't had a game below 50 fantasy points against Dallas, and with the close 2 point spread in tonight's game, he should have to log heavy minutes to secure this win.
Jrue Holiday, NO [vs CHI] (DK: $7.2k, FD: $8.3k)
Vegas has this as the highest scoring game of the slate at 226.5 points and Chicago bleeds points to guards. Jrue has been a machine over the last 5 games averaging 46 fantasy points per game. His salary has mostly remained in check over this hot streak which means he's likely to be fairly highly owned tonight. The Bulls are ranked 30th against starting shooting guards, giving up 36 fantasy points a game. The only negative here, is that Holiday hasn't played well against the Bulls going back to 2014.
Jerian Grant, CHI [@NO] (DK: $4.9k, FD: $5.6k)
It sounds like Kris Dunn is still within the concussion protocol and is in danger of missing today and perhaps Wednesdays game. Grant has done a nice job filling in for Dunn in the past, but his previous ceiling he has shown is likely lower with the Bulls being overloaded with guards having gotten LaVine back. As long as Dunn is out, Grant can certainly provide some value tonight at this current salary level. The Pelicans are ranked 27th against starting point guards allowing 37 fantasy points a game. This game also has the highest point total on the slate at 226.5 with only a 6.5 point spread in favor of the Pelicans.
Forwards
T.J. Warren, PHO [@MIL] (DK: $6.8k, FD: $7k)
The Bucks are ranked 26th against starting small forwards over the last 5 days allowing 33 fantasy points per game. They'll be without Giannis and perhaps Brogdon once again tonight which means the Suns actually have a shot to win tonight, as the Bucks are only favored by 5 points with a 212 point total. Warren put up 41 fantasy points against the Bucks in a close game in November and he'll be looking to get even tonight.
James Johnson, MIA [@HOU] (DK: $5.6k, FD: $5.6k)
If Goran Dragic remains out, James Johnson is seeing +7% usage and +15 fantasy points per game. There has been no update on Dragic's status yet, so keep a watch if you plan on playing Johnson tonight. The Rockets are in the middle of the league against starting power forwards, ranked 18th, allowing 31 fantasy points per game but less at home.
Joe Ingles, UTA [@ATL] (DK: $5.1k, FD: $5.3k)
Rodney Hood has been ruled out of tonights game, and without him on the court Ingles is seeing +4.5% usage and almost 4 more fantasy points per game. He doesn't have that high of a ceiling so treat him as more of a cash game play as he'll be playing plenty of minutes tonight with some additional usage. The Hawks are ranked 24th against starting small forwards allowing 30 fantasy points per game and even more while they're on their home court.
Centers
Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN [@LAC] (DK: $9.5k, FD: $9.4k)
This game has the 2nd highest point total of the night at 221.5 points and only a 2 point spread in favor of the Timberwolves. Minnesota will be without Butler again and KAT is seeing an additional 3% usage without Butler in the game. He's had a couple disappointing games which might drive down his ownership a bit, but he could be in line for a big game in this high scoring tight game tonight.
Rudy Gobert, UTA [@ATL] (DK: $7k, FD: $7.6k)
Gobert played 30 and 28 minutes in his back to back set after returning from injury, which is a good sign for his status moving forward. He was in foul trouble in both games so could have easily had a better game against the Clippers. The Hawks have been having issues against centers all year, as they're been using 3 different guys at center. They're currently ranked 27th against starting centers allowing 33 fantasy points per game.
Deyonta Davis, MEM [vs PHI] (DK: $3.7k, FD: $3.5k)
The Grizzlies entire roster is pretty much out or questionable today. JaMychal Green, James Ennis and Chandler Parsons are out, and Martin, Brooks and Chalmers are questionable. If Martin doesn't play this leaves Davis as the main backup center to Gasol, and could get some minutes at power forward as well. He didn't do a great job filling in for Gasol, but in this role could potentially have a better outcome when when Gasol is still out on the court. The 76ers are ranked 29th against starting power forwards so Davis could be in line for a nice matchup if he were to slide into the starting power forward role.
