Guards
Damian Lillard, POR [vs SA] (DK: $8.5k, FD: $8.8k)
Tony Parker has been ruled out so Lillard may matchup versus Dejounte Murray who actually has a very strong defensive rating value. However the last time Murray started, Yogi Ferrell managed 44 fantasy points. Kawahi is also off the court tonight so the Spurs defense is about as weak as it'll be tonight. Lillard generally plays better at home, and the Spurs worse on the road. His salary is less than the true stud PGs but he has a chance to outproduce some of them at a significant savings tonight.
Tyreke Evans, MEM [@GS] (DK: $7k, FD: $7.5k)
The Grizzles remain depleted of talent from injuries and Chandler Parsons has been ruled out for tonight's game. In the last 4 games that Parsons has missed, Evans has put up an average of 48 fantasy points per game. Memphis will have to rely on Evans to put up nearly 20 shots in games like these. If his shot is on he could have a monster game, if it's off he still has a pretty safe floor. The Warriors on the other side of the ball are severely beat up as well, so they should be able to keep it somewhat close for most of the game.
Isaiah Canaan, PHO [@LAC] (DK: $4.5k, FD: $4.1k)
The Suns have found a new point guard toy, and it wouldn't be surprising to see them shift him to the starting lineup soon if this production continues. He's seen 27 minutes in each of the first 2 games and put up 30 and 37 fantasy points. He's still extremely cheap and gets to face the severely depleted Clippers team who can barely fill a roster with the number of injuries they've sustained. The Suns can be an unpredictable team with 3 centers and now 3 point guards, so Canaan remains a tournament play with 30 point upside.
Forwards
Kevin Durant, GS [vs MEM] (DK: $11.6k, FD: $11.9k)
I said this last newsletter and I'll say it again. Keep playing Durant while Curry and Draymond Green are out of the lineup. However, it is possible that Draymond Green returns tonight, and if he does I would not play Durant. It's not an ideal game as it's a fairly low over/under at 207 with a 10 point spread, so if Green plays there won't be enough to go around for Durant.
Mario Hezonja, ORL [@CHI] (DK: $4.7k, FD: $4.8k)
In the 3 games that Aaron Gordon has missed, Hezonja is averaging 37 fantasy points a game with over 30 minutes played in each contest. It's hard not to like him tonight, he remains extremely cheap and Gordon is out again. However, Jonathan Isaac could see some additional minutes tonight, but not likely enough to completely derail the Hezonjatrain. It's a fairly neutral matchup as the Bulls are ranked 19th against starting power forwards, but they are back to full strength with Mirotic, Portis and Markkanen back.
Reggie Bullock, DET [@DAL] (DK: $3.8k, FD: $3.7k)
Avery Bradley will be out for a third straight game. Bullock has seen 30+ minutes and averaged 28 fantasy points in the last 2 games without Bradley. It's a good matchup tonight as well versus the Mavericks who are ranked 27th against starting small forwards, allowing 32 fantasy points a game, though they're much better at home. Bullock's ceiling is limited so he makes for a better cash play than a tournament play, especially in a slate of this size.
Centers
Nikola Vucevic, ORL [@CHI] (DK: $9.4k, FD: $10k)
Yes he's super expensive, but he's also averaged 59 fantasy points over the last 3 games Aaron Gordon has missed. This will be a tougher matchup against the Bulls who are ranked 12th against starting centers and play better at home. This game does have a decent over/under at 210.5 points and only a 5 point spread to remain competitive throughout.
Clint Capela, HOU [vs LAL] (DK: $7.4k, FD: $7.9k)
The Lakers will be without Brook Lopez for the next few games, so there won't be much available to slow down Capela. This game has the highest over/under over the night at 225.5 points, but it's also very likely to become a blowout as the spread is 14.5 points in favor of the Rockets. If Capela is able to see 30 minutes on the court he has the ability to put up a monster statline against the Lakers who are ranked 26th against starting centers, now even worse without Brook Lopez.
Greg Monroe, PHO [@LAC] (DK: $4.5k, FD: $5.4k)
This is just a guess on what the Suns will do tonight. Since Monroe hasn't played the last 2 games there is a good chance he starts tonight and they sit Chandler with the Suns playing a back to back tomorrow. The Suns centers have been fairly predictable as long as at least one of them is inactive. If all 3 centers are active or there is no news updates regarding this situation, then stay clear of this play. If Chandler is inactive and Monroe gets the official start, then he looks to be in a great spot against the severely depleted Clippers team.
