Guards

Eric Gordon accepting his award after tonights performance.

Eric Gordon, HOU [@BOS] (DK: $5.8k, FD: $5.8k)

Gordon's salary hasn't quite gotten to where it was when Chris Paul was injured earlier in the season and he can still provide nice value tonight. Boston is ranked 13th against starting shooting guards, so it's not the best matchup, but with Capela out as well he's likely to see higher usage to make up for the matchup.

Ish Smith, DET [@ORL] (DK: $4.9k, FD: $5.5k)

If the theme wasn't clear, a day of new injuries has arrived and with new injuries come new value targets. The Pistons are going to be without Reggie Jackson for the next 6 to 8 weeks after he suffered a severe ankle sprain in their previous game. Without Jackson, Ish Smith and Langston Galloway will be filling the void. Ish Smith has the opportunity to play 30 minutes and start tonight, and in this situation last year he averaged 12 points and 6 assists per game. He's a volatile player but with this opportunity has a very high ceiling.

Tyus Jones, MIN [@MIL] (DK: $3.4k, FD: $3.6k)

Jones filled in for Jeff Teague for 4 games in late November and averaged 36 fantasy points per game. Jeff Teague is set for an MRI today so we'll get more clarity about his status soon, but right now he sounds doubtful to play and likely to miss some time. Tyus Jones played some solid ball while filling in for Teague and he should do the same tonight as long as Teague is out. However, it's not an ideal matchup as the Bucks are only ranked 8th against starting point guards.

Forwards

Al Horford, BOS [vs HOU] (DK: $7.1k, FD: $7.1k)

Clint Capela is out on the Houston side of the ball, which just leaves Nene and Tarik Black who haven't shown they can get the job done. This could leave plenty of easy rebounds and board action for Horford who has been playing solid basketball over the last few weeks. This game so far has the highest over under on the slate and only a 1.5 point spread which makes for a great game to target tonight.

Kawhi Leonard, SA [vs NY] (DK: $6k, FD: $7.3k)

It may be time to finally bust Kawhi out of his glass cage, as he saw 26 minutes in his last game. He only hit 8 of 17 field goals, but it's great to see him take that many shots again. He's usually a stat machine, so it's an anomaly that he didn't have many in that contest. If he sees over 25 minutes again tonight, he has the ability to surpass value at his current salary level.

Ryan Anderson, HOU [@BOS] (DK: $4.9k, FD: $4.2k)

Nene hasn't been getting the job done without Capela on the court, so look to Anderson see some extra minutes tonight. He's in a good spot tonight as he scores around 5 fantasy points per game higher while on the road. Anderson thrives in close contests and the Rockets are only favored to win by 2 points here.

Embiid wants your love.

Centers

Joel Embiid, PHI [@POR] (DK: $9.6k, FD: $10.7k)

There is plenty of value available tonight to fit someone like Embiid into lineups. He appears to be past the back issue which was bothering him which is good to see. Portland is ranked 17th against starting centers allowing 32 fantasy points a game, but matchups don't mean much for Embiid as he's going to get his stats regardless. Portland is favored by 3.5 points in this matchup so Embiid is going to need to do some heavy lifting if the 76ers want to win this one.

Andre Drummond, DET [@ORL] (DK: $9.4k, FD: $9.5k)

He hasn't played well against the Magic in the past but Vucevic is out which means the matchup gets a lot easier going against Biyombo and Marreese Speights. Vegas has this as a close contest with only a 4.5 point spread in favor of the Pistons. He's gotten very expensive but in a close game going against backup centers he has a great chance to provide 50+ fantasy points tonight.

Bismack Biyombo, ORL [vs DET] (DK: $4.6k, FD: $5.5k)

Vucevic remains out and Biyombo logged 30 minutes and 28 fantasy points in his first start in Vucevic's place. Aaron Gordon and Fournier might be back in limited fashion tonight, which could actually help Biyombo here with better offense on the court could open up some shots down low for the big man. He doesn't have a super high ceiling, but should see 30 minutes and remains at a low salary.
