Top NBA Plays 12/29| 10 Games But Lower Scores Expected

It's a whopper of a 10-game slate for Tuesday's DFS schedule, but possibly a lower scoring one with only Bulls @ Wizards with a betting total in the 230s. That's definitely a game to target, but the Knicks at Cleveland has tons of DFS potential (O/U 215) while Pelicans/Suns seem like it will soar above the 222 O/U.

As always, there are some hidden gems out there tonight as well considering Jimmy Butler, Joel Embiid, Kawhi Leonard, and Karl-Anthony Towns could all miss this slate and Eric Bledsoe goes back to Phoenix, where he "didn't want to be here" back in 2017.

Today's NBA Matchups

Knicks at Cavs (-3.5), O/U 216, 7:00 PM ET

The Cavs have started off 3-0, and this suddenly becomes a good game after the Knicks toppled the Bucks 130-110 on Sunday. Cleveland has a top 3 offense and a top 10 defense...2020 y'all.

Notable Injuries: NYK has 7 players on the injury report

Warriors (-3.5) at Pistons, O/U 223 7:00 PM ET

Detroit lost 120-128 in a fast-paced game against Atlanta last night, but they did rest Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose, who will both be back tonight. Golden State has allowed 125+ in all three of their games.

Notable Injuries: Draymond Green is still hobbled by a foot injury, and GSW also just lost Marquese Chriss for the season with a broken leg.

Celtics (-1) at Pacers, O/U 218.5 7:00 PM ET

These two squads just met up on Sunday in a 108-107 Pacers win. Malcolm Brogdon and Jayson Tatum both had 40+ fp nights.

Notable Injuries: Kemba Walker remains out with a knee injury.

Raptors at 76ers (-2), O/U 218.5 7:00 PM ET

Philadelphia has run the 6th slowest pace so far this season and has scored 109 and 94 points in the last two. Toronto's defense is 20th in ppg after their 0-2 start.

Notable Injuries: Joel Embiid was scratched Sunday with back tightness.

Bulls at Wizards (-5.5), O/U 233.5 7:00 PM ET

A couple of 0-3 teams meet up in what oddsmakers have pegged as the highest betting total of the night. That makes sense with the 2nd and 5th worst defenses in action.

Notable Injuries: Lauri Markkanen left Sunday's game with a calf injury in the middle of a 37 fp night.

Bucks (-5.5) at Heat, O/U 223 7:30 PM ET

The Knicks shot 54% from the field in their win over Milwaukee on Sunday as the Bucks now have a bottom 10 defense. The Heat got their defense back on track in holding New Orleans to 98 points last game.

Notable Injuries: Jimmy Butler is doubtful (ankle).

Magic (-5) at Thunder, O/U 219.5 8:00 PM ET

The Magic are 3-0 with the #4 scoring offense in the league, but OKC has held opponents to 110 points or less in both of their games.

Pelicans at Suns (-3), O/U 222.5 10:00 PM ET

New Orleans ran at the #2 pace in the league last season but is down to 24th (with a new coach). The Suns aren't as high-flying as we thought they'd be either, running the 27th ranked tempo which is why this betting total is lower than expected.

Timberwolves at Clippers (-8.5), O/U 228.5 10:00 PM ET

The Clippers have run the slowest tempo in the league during their 2-1 start, but that could increase vs. a T'Wolves team that lost 127-91 vs. the Lakers Sunday.

Notable Injuries: Karl-Anthony Towns is out indefinitely with a dislocated wrist and Kawhi Leonard missed LAC's last game with a facial laceration.

Nuggets (-2.5) at Kings, O/U 223.5 7:00 PM ET

Denver is favored despite being on a back to back after both Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray logged over 31 minutes in the win over Houston.

Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables

Tyler Herro DK $5.7k | FD $4.5k

So far the Bucks haven't run the top 3 pace like they did last year, but Miami still gets a 5+ possession boost tonight. Tyler Herro could have that breakout game with Jimmy Butler out of the lineup.

Terrance Ross DK $5.3k | FD $5.4k

The matchup for Terrance Ross against a normally stout OKC defense gets a bit better with the Thunder on the back to back. Ross has 14, 15, and 14 fga during Orlando's 3-0 start.

Eric Bledsoe DK $5.9k | FD $4.8k

There's a bit of an FD price drop for Eric Bledsoe, and understandably as he's averaging just 28.3 fp in three games. Nothing brings out the best (or beast) in Blesoe like a 🔪Revenge Game🔪 against the Suns,

Buddy Hield DK $6.8k | FD $5.4k

Great FD price for a guy who will be on the court (36 mpg) and shooting (15 fga / game) against a Denver team on the back to back.

Elfrid Payton DK $5.5k | FD $4.8k

Elfrid Payton probably won't shoot 12-16 like he did vs. Milwaukee, but then again he might. Payton logged his most minutes (29) and shots (16) last game as New York fights through a bevy of injuries. Had a triple double 17/11/15 in OT vs. Cleveland last February.

Tonight's SF / PF Notables

Danny Green DK $3.5 k | FD $3.8k

He's played a couple of great scorers in DeMar DeRozan and Brandon Ingram, but Toronto's OG Anunoby has struggled to defend the SF position. Maybe Danny Green shoots more than six times tonight?

Otto Porter DK $5.4k | FD $4.3k

It's Patrick Williams that actually gets the better usage increase if Lauri Markkanen sits, but Otto Porter has so far posted more shots and has better peripherals in gaining 5+ rebounds the last three. Porter also gets the 'revenge edge' against his old team Washington.

Anthony Edwards $5.4k | FD $4.9k

Got 21 shots last game with KAT out of the lineup, and could have had a ceiling game if he made more than 6 of those. The Clippers are just 9th defensively and could be without Leonard (face).

RJ Barrett $7.1k | FD $6.2k

He shoots a ton of shots (15, 15, 17) and plays a Cavs team that has allowed 43+ fp to Jerami Grant and Gordon Hayward this season at the SF spot.

Jae Crowder DK $4.9k | FD $4.4k

Jae Crowder is coming off an atrocious 9fp night against Sacramento, but he gets a favorable matchup against a Pelicans team that just allowed a 41fp night to Keldon Johnson (14/11/5) at the PF spot even though the Spurs only scored 95 points in the game.

Tonight's Center Position Notables

Thomas Bryant DK $6.8k | FD $5.2k

Great FD value for Thomas Bryant in what should be a high scoring game against Chicago. Bryant has 13, 11, and 15 fga the last three, and plays a Bulls team that struggled vs. the front court last season.

Wendell Carter, Jr. DK $6.1k | FD $5.1k

Game positional stack? Why not, as Chicago and Washington are implied to be a 120-115 game. Wendell Carter had a season high 13 rebounds last game and should get more frontcourt chances with Lauri Markkanen being a GTD.

Bam Adebayo. DK $8k | FD $8.2k

Bam Adebayo hasn't broken more than 5X at this price, but he gets a +27.5 fp boost when Jimmy Butler doesn't play. The Bucks also rank last against opposing C's.

🔥 SuperDraft Multiplier Must-Play

Today's SuperDraft multiplier must-play is Zach LaVine at 1.15X. LaVine is going to have the type of night that transcends the low multiplier, playing a fast paced Washington team and with the Bulls possibly not having Markkanen.
