Top NBA Plays 1/25|So We Meet Again

Even with the Memphis / Sacramento game postponed, it's still a 10-game slate for Monday's NBA DFS action. Four of those games feature teams that played each other Saturday or Sunday.

Teams playing each other on back-to-back nights is interesting, and on Friday and Saturday, the Nuggets and Suns went to 3 OTs total in their two matchups.

Both Denver and Phoenix used the same starting lineups (save for the Devin Booker injury) and very similar usage in the two games, but of course every coach strategizes different.

Today's NBA Matchups

Raptors @ Pacers (-2) , O/U 216.5, 7:00 PM ET

Toronto and Indiana met up yesterday in a 107-102 Raptors win without Kyle Lowry and Pascal Siakam, who are both still questionable tonight. Fred VanVleet ($7.9k) and Domantas Sabonis ($9.8k) both logged 40+ minutes.

Hornets @ Magic (-1), O/U 213.5 7:00 PM ET

Charlotte beat Orlando 107-104 yesterday and oddsmakers are expecting the offense to be nonexistent with the lowest betting total of the night.

Lineup notes: Aaron Gordon (knee) sat out yesterday.

Sixers (-6.5) @ Pistons , O/U 216, 7:00 PM ET

These two teams met on Saturday, with both on a back to back. The 76ers won 114-110 behind 33/14 from Joel Embiid ($9.7k).

Lineup notes: Embiid is tending to back spasms. Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose sat last game with knee injuries.

Heat @ Nets (-7.5) , O/U 235.5, 7:30 PM ET

Bam Adebayo ($8.5k) had a DFS 🍔60 Burger🍔when these two teams met up on Saturday in the Nets' 128-124 win. This looks like another solid target with a betting total in the 230s.

Lakers (-10.5) @ Cavs , O/U 212.5, 8:00 PM ET

The Cav magic ran out yesterday in a 38-point loss to Boston. Cleveland pulled off two stunning upsets of the Nets last week, but could be in a 🕯️Blowout Spot🕯️as double digit underdogs on 0 days rest vs. a Lakers team that is 9-0 on the road.

Nuggets (-1.5) @ Mavericks , O/U 222.5, 8:30 PM ET

Denver was happy to get yesterday off after playing 3 OTs in two nights in back-to-back wins over Phoenix. Dallas was idle yesterday and they needed rest as well, giving up 133 points in a loss to Houston on 0 days rest Saturday.

Spurs @ Pelicans (-2.5) , O/U 225.5, 9:00 PM ET

New Orleans looked atrocious in a 120-110 loss to 4-11 Minnesota on Saturday night, which is understandable as it wrapped up a 6-game road trip. It was ugly when these two met up earlier this season, a 98-95 Pelicans win on December 27th.

Celtics (-5) @ Bulls , O/U 228, 9:00 PM ET

The Bulls run the 2nd fastest pace in the league, but the Lakers didn't fall for it in a 101-90 win on Saturday. Will Boston control the tempo similarly tonight?

Lineup notes: Jayson Tatum is expected to return from health and safety quarantine. Wendell Carter, Jr. (thigh) remains doubtful.

Thunder @ Trail Blazers (-5.5) , O/U 224.5, 10:00 PM ET

Damian Lillard ($10.3k) posted a fantasy 🍔60 Burger🍔yesterday vs. the Knicks, even more impressive as he just became the father of twins on Thursday. He did log 35 minutes though, and it was a hard fought 3-point win vs. a tough New York defense.

Timberwolves @ Warriors (-8.5) , O/U 227, 10:00 PM ET

The T'Wolves are back on the road after playing 6 of their last 7 at home. This game could get ugly with Minnesota being a bit banged up, and going just 1-5 in road tilts this season.

Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables

Zach LaVine DK $8.6k | FD $9k

LaVine was held to 'only' 40 fp Saturday, but that was against the Lakers #1 unit in defensive efficiency. LaVine still shot 23 times, and his down outing resulted in a DK price drop meaning 51fp is 6X tonight. He's hit that in 5 of the last 7.

Andrew Wiggins DK $6.5k | FD $6.8k

Wiggins meets up with his former team Minnesota for the first time tonight, but aside from the revenge narrative, the Timberwolves have the 4th worst defense in the league, and just allowed 28 real points to Eric Bledsoe at the SG spot on Saturday.

Marcus Smart DK $6.4k | FD $6.6

Boston is on the back-to-back, but Marcus Smart played just 27 minutes yesterday thanks to a blowout win over Cleveland. He also scored 37fp vs. the Cavs despite going just 5-8 from the field. It's a great matchup with a Bulls backcourt defense that is 26th vs. the PG and 28th vs. SGs.

Evan Fournier DK $6.3k | FD $5.9

Fournier has averaged 17 shots in the three games he's returned from back spasms. That recent injury is something to watch on the back-to-back, but he's got a matchup with the same Hornets team that he put a 21/3/6 line against yesterday as Aaron Gordon sat.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope DK $5.3k | FD $4.1

KCP is in a great matchup spot with increased usage against what should be an easy Lakers win vs. the Cavs. Cleveland has allowed 32+ fp to five straight SGs.

Tonight's SF / PF Notables

DeMar DeRozan DK $7.7k | FD $7.9k

If you subscribe to the 🎢Roller Coaster🎢 philosophy than DeMar DeRozan is due for a big game after going for 48, 23, 47, and 26 points in his last four. Ownership will be driven off too as the Pelicans have held four straight SFs to 27 points or less.

OG Anunoby DK $6.9k | FD $6.2k

Anunoby liked his visit back to the Hoosier state yesterday, as the former Indiana alum went for 30 points and 8 rebounds (54fp). He also logged 40 minutes but may see similar usage with Pascal Siakam and Kyle Lowry possibly out.

Kelly Olynyk $6.3k | FD $5.3k

Great FD pricing for Olynyk, vs. a Nets team that will be focused on stopping Bam Adebayo after he dropped 41 points on them Saturday. Brooklyn is 25th vs. the C position and 28th vs PFs, giving Olynyk a great chance to break out of a recent slump.

Joe Harris DK $5.8k | FD $4.7

Great FD pricing for Joe Harris in what oddsmakers are expecting to be another high scoring affair vs. Miami. Harris had 23 vs. the Heat on Saturday, the 5th straight time Miami has allowed 30+ fp vs. an opposing SF.

Norman Powell DK $5.2k

Powell can be slotted in a SF on DK, and he has great value if Lowry and Siakam continue to sit. Powell has 18 shots in each of the last two games, which includes 20 points and 6 assists yesterday vs. tonight's opponent Indiana.

Tonight's Center Position Notables

Joel Embiid DK $9.7k | FD $10.2k

Embiid is dealing with back spasms, but if he plays it's a great matchup vs. the Pistons frontcourt that has allowed 26 boards to Clint Capela and 15 rebounds to Demarcus Cousins before Embiid dropped 33 and 14 Saturday. If Embiid sits, Dwight Howard becomes a great value play at $4.2k.

James Wiseman DK $5.4k | FD $4.9k

Steven Adams had a dud against them Saturday, but usually, centers vs. Minnesota is a nice target. Wiseman has scored 15+ real points in four of the last five.
