Guards

Kemba Walker, CHA [@LAL] (DK: $8.3k, FD: $8k)

Yes he's very expensive tonight but it's an odd large slate with 10 games yet no true studs playing. The Lakers are ranked 25th against starting point guards allowing 35 fantasy points a game. Kemba has been averaging 2 more fantasy points a game on the road and 5 more in games they are favored to win. Vegas has this game right at the top tonight with a 217 point total and a mere 2.5 point spread in favor of the Hornets.

Ish Smith, DET [@PHI] (DK: $5.8k, FD: $6.1k)

Ish has been playing 30+ minutes in each of the 3 games he's started since Reggie Jackson was injured. The 76ers are ranked 23rd against starting point guards allowing 34 fantasy points a game. This is also a huge pace bump for the Pistons who Vegas has losing by 5.5 points so they'll have to keep pace to stay in the game. He's coming off a disappointing game which will keep his ownership down, but he's in a great spot tonight to have a big game.

J.J. Barea, DAL [vs CHI] (DK: $5.3k, FD: $5.9k)

Barea has been on a roll over the last 2 weeks, averaging close to 30 fantasy points a game. He's still only seeing around 23 minutes per game and should be able to match that tonight in what is a fairly high scoring game for these two teams at 212.5 points and Dallas being favored by 4.5. Guards have giving Chicago problems all year and Barea should be able to exploit that off the bench. His ceiling is limited by the low number of minutes he plays, so consider him a cash play.

Forwards

Kyle Kuzma, LAL [vs CHA] (DK: $7.2k, FD: $6k)

The salary difference makes this a better FanDuel play, but he's in play regardless. There are some concerns as he exited early 2 games ago with an injury and only played 28 minutes in the last contest, but it appears he's fine. He's called out his teammates for lack of effort recently which will be interesting to see how they respond tonight. It's an ideal matchup versus the Hornets who are ranked 27th against starting power forwards in what is one of the best games to target tonight.

Wilson Chandler, DEN [vs UTA] (DK: $4.8k, FD: $5.2k)

Chandler is a very cheap option for a guy who is playing 30+ minutes per game. He's had 2 very disappointing games in the recent stretch but more often than not he'll play over 30 minutes and come away with close to 30 fantasy points. He doesn't have a high ceiling so you're not shooting for the moon here but it's a nice matchup against the Jazz who are ranked 25th against starting small forwards and allowing 31 fantasy points a game.

Ersan Ilyasova, ATL [@POR] (DK: $5.3k, FD: $5.9k)

Ersan has somewhat quietly dropped 5 games of 30+ fantasy points out of his last 6 games played, and he's been playing 3-4 extra minutes per game lately. His salary hasn't gone up much yet so he can still provide some salary relief tonight. Portland is ranked 23rd against starting power forwards but they've been a bit better while playing at home.

Centers

Hassan Whiteside, MIA [vs NY] (DK: $6.7k, FD: $7.6k)

It looked like Whiteside was going to start seeing 30 minutes a game, but he was benched for the final 6 minutes of last game as the coach felt he wasn't needed. He's well rested now and capable of playing 30 minutes now as long as the game doesn't get out of hand. Vegas has this as a close 5 point spread in favor of Miami so that should not happen tonight. If Whiteside sees 30 minutes tonight he can easily provide value again the Knicks who are ranked 26th against starting centers.

Pau Gasol, SA [vs PHO] (DK: $6.5k, FD: $5.5k)

The Gregg Popovich minutes guessing game is a dangerous game to play as it's hard to understand what he's thinking or is going to do, so play at your own risk. Leaving this as a tournament only play. The payout though means a huge game from a guy at below mid-tier salary range. The Spurs can easily beat the Suns here as they're favored by 11.5 points tonight, so you would think Popovich would rest his veterans on a night like tonight but he never seems to follow traditional lines of thought. If Gasol does get big minutes, he's facing the Suns who rank 28th against starting centers.

Derrick Favors, UTA [@DEN] (DK: $6k, FD: $6.4k)

Without Gobert in the lineup Favors is bound to have one of his big nights soon. The Nuggets are ranked 30th against starting centers allowing 36 fantasy points a game, however they play much better at home as most opponents are not acclimated to the altitude at their stadium. However, the Jazz play at the 2nd highest stadium in the NBA so the altitude factor isn't as much of a concern tonight.
