Top NBA Plays 1/6| Plenty of Ways to Go Tonight

It's a wild 11-game mid-week slate for the NBA Wednesday lineup. Let's not mess around and get right to what's in store on this card.

Today's NBA Matchups

Rockets @ Pacers (-2.5), O/U 225.5, 7:00 PM ET

The Pacers are #6 in offensive efficiency so far this year and have a great matchup against a Rockets team that gave up multiple 30+ point games to the Mavs on Monday.

Notable Injuries: Danuel House will miss his second straight game.

Cavs @ Magic (-6), O/U 213.5 7:00 PM ET

The line is only ORL -6, but this sure looks like a blowout spot for the Magic, hosting a Cleveland team that adds Dante Exum (calf) to their ever growing injury report.

Notable Injuries: The Cavs have 7 players on their injury report, Evan Fournier is questionable to return for Orlando.

Wizards @ 76ers (-6.5), O/U 231 7:00 PM ET

Washington is picking up the pace with three straight games going over 239 points. That will be tested against Philly, the #2 scoring and #1 shooting defense in the league.

Hornets @ Hawks (-6), O/U 232 7:30 PM ET

The Hornets have had trouble scoring the last two, but they've also played the Sixers. Charlotte should have more value against a Hawks team that has blown 15-point leads in consecutive losses.

Notable Injuries: Rajon Rondo (knee) is out, Bogdan Bogdanovic (ankle) is probable.

Celtics @ Heat (-2.5), O/U 218 7:30 PM ET

It's hard to get a usage read on Miami, who has used a different starting lineup in all six games this season. This one would project to be low scoring, but Boston ranks just 20th in defensive efficiency this season.

Notable Injuries: Marcus Smart (thumb) and Jeff Teague (ankle) are both questionable tonight.

Jazz (-7.5) @ Knicks, O/U 213 7:30 PM ET

The Jazz are on the back-to-back, but teams with 0 days rest went 3-0 on Monday. Utah also lost by 34 to the Nets last night, so it wasn't the most exerting game.

Notable Injuries: The Knicks have 8 players on their injury report.

Pistons @ Bucks (-12.5), O/U 225.5 8:00 PM ET

Detroit gets a 9 possession pace boost tonight in a rematch of Monday's 125-115 Milwaukee win. The Pistons were playing that game on a b2b, so this one may stay close.

Thunder @ Pelicans (-8), O/U 212 8:00 PM ET

The Pelicans beat OKC by 33 points on New Year's Eve and face a Thunder team coming off a 28 point loss to the Heat on Monday.

Raptors @ Suns (-3), O/U 218.5 9:00 PM ET

Tough game to target in a matchup of the #7 and #5 defensive efficiency units in the league. The Raptors have allowed 120+ in back to back games though.

Clippers (-2) @ Warriors, O/U 230.5 10:00 PM ET

Golden State has run an impressive tempo their last two games, scoring 137 points in wins over Portland and Sacramento. GSW is up against L.A's second slowest pace tonight, however. The Clippers lost by 3 at San Antonio last night.

Notable Injuries: Paul George (ankle) sat out last night for the Clippers.

Bulls @ Kings (-7), O/U 229.5 10:00 PM ET

Chicago is on the back to back after a solid 111-108 win in Portland last night, but they're also facing a Kings team that has dropped three straight, including by 31 points Monday at Sacramento.

Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables

James Harden DK $11k | FD $11.2k

Harden has a 52fp ceiling the last three games but also had 45/17/9 and 44/8/5 in two games against the Pacers last season (76fppg).

Terry Rozier DK $6.3 k | FD $7.1k

Great DK price for Terry Rozier, who put up 40 points on 15/26 shooting in his last meeting with Atlanta to close out the 2020 pre-bubble season. The Hawks have allowed 30+ fp to four straight SGs, including 52 to RJ Barrett on Monday.

Paul George DK $8.9k | FD $9k

The Clippers are on the back-to-back, but George sat out which means he is going to get all the usage (especially if Kawhi Leonard sits as expected) against the Warriors' #1 pace.

Victor Oladipo DK $7k | FD $7.2k

Oladipo has a 38 fp average the last three games while playing Cleveland, NY, and the Pelicans, surprisingly all in the top 11 in defensive efficiency. Expect a better shooting night against the Rockets #24 unit, and what should be a 6X night.

Buddy Hield DK $6.6k | FD $5.2k

As LineStar user @eeproject put it, Buddy Hield isn't shooting lights out - but like the lights are out. Hield has a high mark of 31fp this year, but tonight gets matched up with a Bulls team that is on the back-to-back, runs the #2 pace, and is #30 dVp against the SG.

Tonight's SF / PF Notables

Darius Bazley DK $5.8k | FD $6k

This isn't a true chase on Darius Bazley, who has put up consecutive 6X games. That's because his worst outing of the season so far came against tonight's opponent New Orleans when Bazley was held to 2-6 shooting with 4 rebounds.

Mikal Bridges $5.7k | FD $5.5k

He gets the minutes (36+ in 4 of the last 5) and tonight faces Toronto's last ranked team in rebounding rate.

Cedi Osman $5.5k | FD $5.2k

It's a chase after his 18/7/7 performance against the Magic on Monday, but it's not a bad price to get on board if this usage is the norm for Cedi Osman moving forward as the Cavs are ravaged by injuries.

Kelly Olynyk DK $4.4k | FD $5k

Kelly Olynyk moved into the starting lineup last game for Miami, responding with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Olynyk has 15+ and 8+ rebounds in two of the last three, which should continue in a trip to his old stomping grounds of Boston.

Royce O'Neale $5k | FD $4.5k

Ownership has to be driven away from Royce O'Neale, who has failed to break 20fp in two of the last three. He gets one more chance tonight because of the matchup with the Knicks frontcourt, even though Utah is on the back to back. NYK has allowed at least 29 fp to five straight at the PF spot.

Tonight's Center Position Notables

Christian Wood DK $7.7k | FD $9.1k

Christian Wood broke a 4-game perfect lineup streak last time out, due largely in part because he only had 7 boards. The numbers should pick back up tonight vs. Indiana, who ranks 4th worst in rebound rate.

Clint Capela DK $6.7k | FD $6.5k

Clint Capela disappointed against the Knicks with just 12 points and 29fp, but he still grabbed 12 boards, his fourth straight with 11 rebounds. Charlotte ranks 24th in rebound rate and 24th defensively vs. the C position this season.

🔥 SuperDraft Multiplier Must-Play

Today's SuperDraft multiplier must-play is Paul George at 1.25X. The Clippers are on the b2b, but Paul George sat out last night and should get a majority of the usage vs. Golden State's #1 pace.
