Top NBA Plays 1/8| Do You Feel Like Playing?

Creating a consistent winning NBA DFS strategy is an ever-evolving process. We've had to analyze ๐Ÿ—ก๏ธRevenge Games๐Ÿ—ก๏ธ, ๐Ÿ›๏ธBack-to-Backs๐Ÿ›๏ธ, ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธBlowout Matchups๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ, and even ๐ŸŽ‚Birthday Boys๐ŸŽ‚, but last night Kyrie Irving added a new one to the lexicon with the ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฟโ€โ™‚๏ธDidn't Feel Like It๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฟโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

The Nets star sat out last night's game with Philadelphia because he "didn't feel like playing." That may draw a little criticism, but if bosses start OK'ing that as an accepted call-in reason then thanks for your work good sir. Unlike World B. Flat, LineStar did feel like breaking down tonight's 10-game slate to end the week, so let's see who's in and who's out for this Friday feature.

Today's NBA Matchups

Suns (-6.5) @ Pistons , O/U 216, 7:00 PM ET

Opponents are shooting 50% from the field vs. Detroit, the worst in the league and Milwaukee scored 82 points in the 1st half Wednesday - but the Suns also run the slowest pace in the NBA (98.7).

Notable Injuries: Derrick Rose (knee) left Wednesday's game, but is expected to play vs. Phoenix.

Wizards @ Boston (-6.5), O/U 234 7:30 PM ET

A surprisingly good game to target considering the Wiz have the 4th worst defense in the NBA - but Boston is also 21st in defensive efficiency.

Notable Injuries: Russell Westbrook is doubtful with a dislocated finger. Boston has been hit hard by health and safety protocol-ing.

Hornets @ Pelicans (-6.5) , O/U 218.5 7:30 PM ET

Has Gordon Hayward ($8k) said, "it's my team" in Charlotte? He had 44 points (60fp) Wednesday but is up against the Pelicans' surprising #3 defense tonight.

Notable Injuries: JJ Redick left Wednesday's game with a knee injury.

Thunder @ Knicks (-2.5), O/U 210.5 7:30 PM ET

The betting total of 210 says yuck. OKC has scored under 100 in 3 of the last 4, while the Knicks have the 7th best defensive efficiency and the 3rd slowest pace. To quote Godsmack, "Do like I told you, and stay away from me" for this game.

Notable Injuries: The Knicks continue to be very banged up.

Nets (-2.5) @ Grizzlies, O/U 218 8:00 PM ET

This is the lowest betting total of the year for a Nets game, as Brooklyn is coming off a ๐Ÿ›๏ธBack-to-Back๐Ÿ›๏ธ and it appears Kyrie Irving is not traveling with the team tonight. #LeVertChalk as Memphis is on the b2b as well.

Notable Injuries: Kyrie Irving (personal) is on the shelf for this one.

Magic @ Rockets (-6.5), O/U 225 8:00 PM ET

Orlando begins life without Markelle Fultz tonight, as the former #1 pick tore his ACL in Wednesday's win over the Cavs. Rookie Cole Anthony is a player to watch moving forward.

Notable Injuries: Christian Wood, Danuel House, and Evan Fournier are all questionable for tonight's matchup.

Jazz @ Bucks (-5.5), O/U 231.5 8:00 PM ET

Oddsmakers are expecting a rare close game for Milwaukee, who have won 4 of the last 5 by double digits. It wouldn't be a surprise to see this one getting away from Utah, who has lost by 34 at Brooklyn, 12 at the Knicks, and is playing their 4th straight on the road.

Notable Injuries: Derrick Favors and Joe Ingles are both questionable for Utah, making a Bucks blowout win more of a possibility.

Clippers (-6) @ Warriors, O/U 232.5 10:00 PM ET

L.A. and Golden State get reacquainted after the Clips' won 108-101 on Wednesday. That was a pace battle, as GSW is running the #1 tempo and Los Angeles the 2nd slowest. The turtle ๐Ÿขwon the race last time.

Notable Injuries: The Warriors are coy on injuries to Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, and Kelly Oubre, Jr. who are all on the injury report with undisclosed ailments. Steph Curry (ankle) is also questionable.

Raptors (-5.5) @ Kings, O/U 225.5 10:00 PM ET

A very strange betting line here as the 1-6 Raptors are favorites on the West Coast. It looks like ๐Ÿ”จHammer Time๐Ÿ”จ on the Kings which can only mean a big Tamparonto win.

Notable Injuries: De'Aaron Fox left the last game in the 1st quarter with a hamstring injury. Richaun Holmes and Jabari Parker are also out for Sac-Town.

Bulls @ Lakers (-10), O/U 229.510:00 PM ET

L.A.'s betting line vs. the Spurs last night took a polar plunge, which hinted at either Lebron or Anthony Davis riding some pine. They both played and dominated (of course) even though the Lakers lost 118-109 but that leaves the status for both up in the air tonight.

Notable Injuries: Neither James or Davis are on the injury report for the first time what seems like all season.

Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables

Bradley Beal DK $10.5k | FD $9.7k

Tough call here. Beal put up 35(!) shots on Wednesday en route to his ๐Ÿ”60 Burger๐Ÿ” vs. the Sixers but is matched up vs. Marcus Smart and/or Jaylen Brown's defense tonight. The fact that Russell Westbrook (finger) may sit for Washington makes this a deal for Beal, however.

Zach LaVine DK $8.6 k | FD $8.1k

The Bulls are in a great spot to at least cover the +10 tonight, if not win outright vs. a Lakers team on the b2b. If so, Zach LaVine is likely to be a huge reason why and he's posted 24+ shots in two of the last three. L.A. has a great D, but not so much on 0 days rest.

Jaylen Brown DK $8.7k | FD $8k

This is an FD ๐Ÿ”’Lock Spot๐Ÿ”’ as 6X seems to be the floor for Brown tonight against Washington's 4th worst defense. The Celtics SG has gone for 50+ fp in three of the last five and should be a $9k player at minimum vs. Washington.

Caris LeVert DK $7.4k | FD $6.8k

Still, a solid FD play at under $7k, because we're seeing #BubbleCaris with Durant and now Kyrie Irving out tonight for the Nets. Being on the b2b hurts LeVert, but how do you not like 18 and 25 shots the last two games going into a matchup with a beat up Memphis squad also on 0 days rest?

Lonzo Ball DK $6.4k | FD $6.3k

Not many of us know what it's like growing up with LaVar Ball as a father, but we're going to get a glimpse tonight in the ๐Ÿ€Ball Bowl๐Ÿ€. Big brother Lonzo is actually cheaper than lil' bro LaMelo and is coming off an 18 shot performance Wednesday.

Cole Anthony DK $5k | FD $5k

Yes please at $5k for Cole Anthony stepping into the starting PG spot after the injury to Markelle Fultz. The rook looks like a lock for his first 30+ fp night against Houston's #23 defense and #11 pace. This play (and Terrance Ross at $5.7k) become even better if Evan Fournier (back) sits again.

Tonight's SF / PF Notables

Julius Randle DK $9.8k | FD $9.4k

It's time to test your Julius Randle loyalty. The Knicks big man is up almost $2k in 10 days, but for good reason after going for 53+ fp in four of the past six. A lot of people are going to start backing off, but the Thunder are 24th vs. the PF spot and Randle has 40+ minutes the last two.

Darius Bazley $6.2k | FD $6.7k

Julius Randle is in ๐Ÿ”ฉTorque Mode๐Ÿ”ฉ for the Knicks right now... on offense. Being such an integral usage focal point on one end of the court inevitably makes you give it up at the other end. Enter Darius Bazley, the OKC power forward who launched it 20 times last game and has 32 boards total the last three.

Marvin Bagley DK $5.9k | FD $5.8k

We may be entering ๐ŸผCoddle Mode๐Ÿผfor Marvin Bagley, who got his most shot attempts of the year on Wednesday vs. Chicago - the first game after his dad begged for a trade out of Sac-Town. The Bulls interior defense is horrible, but tonight Bagley gets the Raptors #25 dVp vs. the PF and dead last rebounding unit while likely playing without De'Aaron Fox (hamstring) and Richaun Holmes (ankle).

Joe Harris $5.5k | FD $4.9k

Why not for that FD price? Joe Harris logged 30 minutes last night, but he also launched 19 shots without Irving and Durant in the lineup. Brooklyn is on the b2b, but so is their opponent Memphis, who is ravaged by injuries to start with.

Draymond Green DK $5.1k | FD $5.1k

Draymond Green is understandably not happy about the recent events at our nation's capitol. Will this energy finally get him to shoot the basketball (3 fga in four straight games)? The matchup isn't great vs. the Clippers, but GSW might not have many other options with Wiggins, Curry, and Oubre also all on the injury report.

Tonight's Center Position Notables

Nikola Vucevic DK $9k | FD $8.8k

Not a bad center to roster around with Anthony Davis on the b2b and Rudy Gobert in a possible blowout spot at Milwaukee. Vucevic should touch the ball more often following Fultz's injury and gets a matchup with the Rockets who are either going to play a banged up Christian Wood or a rusty Demarcus Cousins.

Serge Ibaka DK $5.7k | FD $.3k

He scored 12 points, but also grabbed 14 boards in Wednesday's 108-101 win over Golden State (33fp). That should continue in the rematch, as the Warriors are the 2nd worst rebounding team in the league behind Toronto.
