Top NBA Plays 2/11 | Let the Scoring Commence

It's a smaller 5-game slate as we wind down the "1st half" of the NBA season that is actually more like 2/3 already over. Tonight is quality over quantity, though with every game having a betting total in the 220s, and three of them going 230 or above. Delightful.

Tonight's DFS Headlines

Clippers @ Sixers

It's any player on any given night for the Sixers, who just might be too deep for DFS purposes. Besides Embiid, Simmons, Harris, etc., now you've got to add Furkan Korkmaz to that list after he's gone for 30+ real points in back to back games. The Clippers come to Philly having won 10 of 13, but could be without Kawhi Leonard (knee) as he might want to shut it down until the all star break.

Bulls @ Wizards

Injuries have made the Bulls a key team to target against, but does the i-Team of Ish Smith and Ian Mahinmi really impress you for the Wizards? Washington is getting healthier on the post though (save for Thomas Bryant - foot), which will be a key area to focus against vs. Chicago.

Trail Blazers @ Pelicans

Injuries are key to watch out for with the Pelicans in this matchup, as both Brandon Ingram (ankle) and Zion Williamson (toe) missed Saturday's game. They are both expected back in what should be a high scoring affair with a betting total of 240.

Spurs @ Thunder

San Antonio blew a late lead on Monday, falling in Denver for their 5th straight defeat on the Rodeo Road Trip. Now the Spurs have to visit OKC on the back-to-back and likely without DeMar DeRozan (back spasms). The Thunder are still just -6.5 favorites here though.

Celtics @ Rockets

Post play isn't a real strength of the Celtics, but that's the area to attack, as Houston's tallest starter is 6'7". Then again, without bigs clogging up the middle, it's been the guards who have seen an increase in production both for and against the Rockets.

Guards

Tomas Satoransky DK $4.9k | FD $5.5k

Revenge game against his former team the Wizards aside, Tomas Satoransky looks like a good play in this spot. Washington does rank 27th dVp against the PG position and just gave up a 27/10/10 line to Ja Morant on Sunday. In two games vs. the Wizards this season Satoransky has posted lines of 17/7/6 and 18/3/5.

Dennis Schroder DK $6.5k | FD $6.6k

Things have the potential to get ugly in Oklahoma City even though the Thunder are just a -6.5 favorite over San Antonio. The Spurs have taken a beating on the Rodeo Road Trip, losing the first 5 of an 8-game stretch. Now they have to play on 0 days rest, with all 10 players on the roster logging at least 15 minutes last night in Denver. Dennis Schroder should get back into line after a 24fp night vs. Detroit on Friday. He hadn't been held to under 37 fp since January 20th prior to that.

Schroder had put a nice consistent run together prior to Friday's game with Detroit.

Bryn Forbes DK $3.5k | FD $4k

An interesting GPP play for tonight is Bryn Forbes. With DeMar DeRozan likely out vs. OKC with back spasms and Dejounte Murray likely limited on the back-to-back due to his injury history, there aren't a whole lot of options for the Spurs to run their offense through. That includes Lamarcus Aldridge who was on the court for 35 last night. The dangers with the Spurs are that it's Patty Mills, Derrick White, or Lonnie Walker IV that has the big game for all those same reasons, but Forbes should have the lowest ownership of the three.

San Antonio usage when DeRozan, Aldridge, and Murray are out

Forwards

Robert Covington DK $5.2k | FD $6k

For as good as the Celtics defense is in efficiency (3rd) and vs. the PF overall (11th dVp) it's a position they've struggled to defend lately. In the last week, John Collins has posted a 22/11 and 30/10 performance vs. Boston, Aaron Gordon had 23/10, and Danilo Gallinari 24/5. Robert Covington doesn't necessarily have the offensive repertoire as those players, but he has scored 14+ points in 2 of 3 games since joining the Rockets and has grabbed 5+ boards in each.

Can Covington continue the recent strong run of PFs vs. the Celtics?

Rui Hachimura DK $4.8k | FD $5.3k

Both Washington and Chicago look at tonight's game as a chance to get an easy win to try and climb back into the Eastern Conference playoff race. That should equate to a close, hard fought game which bodes well for Rui Hachimura's minutes. The rookie hasn't broken the 30 minute barrier in the 3 games since returning from a groin injury, but you don't need a ton of minutes vs. the Bulls' #30 defense vs. the PF position. Hachimura had 12 points and 11 rebounds in 25 minutes last time out vs. Memphis, which would have been a 6X night.

The amount of injuries facing Chicago at this point is getting unbelievable.

Davis Bertans DK $5.4k | FD $5.8k

No worries in stacking Wizards front court players vs. a Chicago defense that is dead last vs. both the PF and the C position. Davis Bertans is a PF mostly in title only, as he'll take a ton of three pointers. The Bulls are actually pretty good vs. the three pointers, but that's because it's so easy to score on them in the post.

Center

Joel Embiid DK $9.1k | FD $9.8k

Joel Embiid is heading into the all-star break a little bit perturbed. And unlike the Hulk, DFS players will like Embiid when he's angry. The Sixers big man is coming off a 28/12/5 line vs. the Bulls, which should continue vs. a Clippers team that is struggling vs. the C position as of late.

The Clippers are getting eaten up in the post as of late.
