With Friday off and only 2 games Thursday night, tonight is the last big opportunity to get while the getting is good for NBA DFS. There's no shortage of strategy options out there either with 11 games scheduled.

With a big layoff coming up, minutes can be through the roof tonight - or players have already mentally checked out and are already thinking of their flights to Cabo. Let's check it out.

Tonight's DFS Headlines

Hawks @ Cavs

The Cavs have lost 12 straight at home, including a 41 point loss to the Clippers on Sunday. Cleveland is 30th dVp against the PG, so is Trae Young priced low at $10.4k?

Pistons @ Magic

Detroit lost a very ugly 76-87 contest to Charlotte on Monday. Orlando has the #1 scoring defense in the league, but puts up the 2nd fewest points (103.7). Yuck.

Raptors @ Nets

These two teams just met up on Saturday in a 119-118 Raptors win. That was a close game, sure, but Toronto was also on the back-to-back after a win in Indiana on Friday. The Raptors are trying to go into the break on a 16 game win streak.

Bucks @ Pacers

Giannis Antetokounmpo will take another game off after the birth of his child, which gives the Pacers a little bit of hope here. Indiana has lost 117-89 and 102-83 in two meetings this year.

Wizards @ Knicks

Bradley Beal has been going off since his all-star snub, going for 50+ fp in 7 of the last 10. He played 34 minutes vs. the Bulls last night but with a big layoff coming up do we see normal (if not higher) court time tonight at the Knicks?

Trail Blazers @ Grizzlies

The Grizzlies are on a 14-4 run over their last 18, powered by Ja Morant's first career triple-double on Sunday. Portland is 28th dVp against the PG and is on the second leg of a back-to-back, so Morant's $7.5k price tag isn't too bad.

Hornets @ Timberwolves

The Timberwolves look to be a faster paced team after the debut of D'Angelo Russell on Monday. Minnesota is going to score more - but also give up more - as evidenced by the 137-126 loss to the Raptors. Charlotte is the lowest scoring team in the league though and has been held to 100 or less in 4 of 5.

Kings @ Mavericks

Luka Doncic is hoping to return tonight after a 7 game absence in which the Mavs have gone 3-4. Sacramento provides a good defense to come back against, as Doncic put up a 25/15/17 (70.75 fp) line vs. the Kings on January 15th.

Warriors @ Suns

Golden State ranks 29th defensively vs. the SG and has allowed 35+ fp to 4 of the last 5 at that position. Devin Booker will need more than that though, with an $8.4k price tag and a 21fp night on Monday.

Heat @ Jazz

Jae Crowder is averaging 19.5 ppg, 9.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals in his two games with the Heat. He'll get to lead Miami against one of his former teams the Jazz tonight. Utah has won three in a row, but by a total of 7 points.

Lakers @ Nuggets

These two teams are going to put the pressure on each other after the all-star break with just 3 games separating them in the Western Conference. The road team has won both games in the series this season, with LA getting a 105-96 win at the Pepsi Center in early December.

Guards

Devonte' Graham DK $7.4k | FD $6.8k

D'Angelo Russell, Minnesota's new acquisition, is a great scorer, but his 114.2 defensive rating is near the bottom of the league. Kyle Lowry had a 27/7/11 night vs. the T'Wolves in Russell's debut, which gives Devonte' Graham great value tonight. The betting total for this one is 226 despite Charlotte ranking last in the league in scoring. Graham had 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 11 assists on Monday despite Charlotte scoring only 87 points. It was his second straight 47+ fp outing which is over 6X tonight's price.

Tyus Jones DK $3.9k | FD $4.5k

Memphis is just a 4-point favorite at home vs. Portland tonight even though the Grizzlies have won 14 of their last 18 games and the Trail Blazers are on the back-to-back. Portland did lose by 21 points last night though, which did keep their minutes down. Even so, the Blazers' #28 defense vs. the PG position provides a great matchup for Tyus Jones tonight. Jones has scored in double figures in six straight games and has at least 3 assists in all of those. With a betting total of 235.5, look for more opportunities for Jones in this one.

Jordan Clarkson DK $5.3k | FD $4.9k

The matchup isn't the greatest vs. Miami's #5 defense vs. SG, but Jordan Clarkson is on a roll right now with 25 and 30 real points over the last two. Mike Conley sat out Monday with an illness, and Clarkson responded with a 10-17 shooting night with 5 assists and 8 boards. When Conley missed a January 30th game in Denver, Clarkson had 37 points on 13-22 shooting. It would be smart for Conley to rest again tonight with the big layoff upcoming.

Forwards

Jae Crowder DK $5.1k | FD $5.3k

Jae Crowder has been reinvigorated since his trade to Miami, posting lines of 18/11 and 21/8 the last two games. No reason to think that doesn't continue tonight as Crowder is up against a friendly foe in his old team, the Jazz.

Larry Nance, Jr. DK $5.1k | FD $4.5k

Larry Nance, Jr. becomes a big play tonight if Kevin Love (Achilles) sits. If you're Cleveland, why would you risk playing Love the night before he can get an extended break for the all-star game? The other reason to like Nance, Jr. is because the Cavs are up against Atlanta's #28 dVp against the PF position. The Hawks are also absolutely the worst in the NBA vs. the SF position, where Nance could see some minutes. The usage was horrible for Nance in Andre Drummond's debut on Sunday, as he managed just 6 shots, but that should even out with more familiarity and especially if Love sits.

Jaren Jackson, Jr. DK $6.4k | FD $6.6k

Jaren Jackson is in the highest betting total game of the night (235) and against a Portland team that is 29th dVp against the PF position. Not only that, the Trail Blazers are on the back-to-back after getting exploited on the blocks by Zion Williamson last night (31/9/5). It was the 4th straight game a PF had at least 38fp vs. Portland, which would be a 6X night for Jackson, Jr.

Center

Karl-Anthony Towns DK $10.5k | FD $10.3k

Karl-Anthony Towns is the latest victim in retired player Kendrick Perkins' no-nonsense analysis. Perkins has called Towns essentially soft and horrible over the past week. Does that help to fire up the Minnesota big man tonight? At the very least, a matchup with the Hornets' #30 ranked dVp against the C spot should. The Hornets gave up 12 points and 12 rebounds to Thon Maker in 24 minutes on Monday. Willie Cauley-Stein had 15/10 in 25 minutes the game before that and PJ Tucker went for 38fp when averaging 22 on February 4th.
