Top NBA Plays 2/12 | Monday Awakening 🤗

Tastefully curated M-F by LineStar fantasy experts.

6-game small-slate tonight, but with a lot of options and a lot of potential. We've got some GREAT ideas for you to start your week off winning. Here's what we're thinking...

Dinwiddie looking out for you!

Guards

Spencer Dinwiddie, BKN [vs LAC] (DK: $6.4k, FD: $7.5k)

This is slated as one of the higher scoring games of the night at 218.5 total points a close 4 point spread in favor of the Clippers. Dinwiddie has been playing better ball at home and likely gets to face Austin Rivers who is on the bottom end of the defensive ranking. Dinwiddie did just play 43 minutes in an overtime game 2 days ago but should be ready to roll in this close high scoring game.

Klay Thompson, GS [vs PHO] (DK: $6.3k, FD: $6.7k)

Draymond Green is doubtful to play tonight. Without Green on the court Curry, Durant, and Thompson all see increased usage and scoring. For the season Thompson has seen +5% usage and +5.7FP/48 mins when Green is off for the entire game. Klay is the least expensive of those 3, with blowout conditions presents the least risk. He also has a great matchup against the Suns who rank 29th against starting shooting guards. Just keep in mind this game has a huge 15.5 point spread in favor of the Warriors, so this will almost certainly result in a blowout.

Zach LaVine, CHI [vs ORL] (DK: $6.9k, FD: $8.2k)

This makes for a better DrafKings play than FanDuel with the fairly large salary difference between the two. LaVine is sitting on 3 days of rest now after being rested on Saturday. Facing the Orlando Magic who are ranked 27th against starting shooting guards allowing 33 fantasy points a game and +3 fantasy points more while they're on the road. LaVine has been seeing 30+ mins per game over the last 3 and is scoring well over a fantasy point a minute. This is also slated as a high scoring game with 215 total points and only a 4 point spread in favor of the Bulls.

Forwards

IF Saric gets the court time he deserves tonight, he'll be money 💲

Anthony Davis, NO [@DET] (DK: $11.4k, FD: $11.7k)

The obvious stud to pay up for tonight, facing two opposing big guys in Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond, the size of Anthony Davis is going to be required tonight. Sitting at one of the higher point totals tonight with 220.5 total points and a tight 2.5 point spread in favor of the Pistons. Look for AD to show up tonight and pay dividends on his large salary.

Dario Saric, PHI [vs NY] (DK: $6.4k, FD: $7.1k)

Michael Beasley on the other side of the ball is ranked in the bottom third of the league in defensive rating. Embiid had a rough game last outing, visiting the locker room and taking some hard shots, though he was not concerned about it after the game. But that's not really the issue, as the team will hold him out regardless of how he feels if they didn't like the way something looked. So, Saric could get a little extra court time tonight if they take it easy on Embiid. The Knicks rank 30th against starting power forwards allowing 36 fantasy points a game. This game has definite blowout potential with a 12 point spread in favor of the 76ers.

Joe Harris, BKN [vs LAC] (DK: $4.4k, FD: $4.6k)

Good old Joe' has been balling since entering the starting lineup 3 games ago, and even more so since Caris LeVert has been sidelined over the last 2 games. He's gotten close to 10+ shots each game, with 6-10 rebounds in each game with a handful of assists. He's filling the stat sheet quite well in the minutes he's been seeing, and as long as he can see 28+ minutes of action again tonight in the starting lineup he has a great chance to provide value at this bargain salary.

Centers

Paying up for Drummond makes sense tonight, here's why...

Andre Drummond, DET [vs NO] (DK: $10.1k, FD: $10.8k)

If you're paying up for center tonight, this is likely the spot to do it at. This is going to be a very competitive game tonight with a close 2.5 point spread in favor of the Pistons and a large 220.5 point total. The Pelicans rank 26th versus starting centers and are going to have a hard time slowing both Blake and Drummund tonight which should result in an offensive shoot out.

Pau Gasol, SA [@UTA] (DK: $4.8k, FD: $5.4k)

LaMarcus Aldridge is out tonight, Tony Parker and Dejounte Murray remain questionable which is going to open up a lot of value on this team tonight. Pau Gasol's salary is too low to ignore him with his high ceiling when he gets to play 30+ minutes, which he may get tonight with these injuries. Of course it's hard to predict what Gregg Popovich is going to do any given night, so keep that in mind and don't go all in unless you're feeling it.

Zaza Pachulia, GS [vs PHO] (DK: $3.5k, FD: $3.8k)

Likely no Draymond Green tonight, which can mean more usage for Pachulia, especially in the case of a blowout. David West is obviously an option as well. Pachulia is only seeing 16 minutes per game, but scoring over a fantasy point per minute. If he can find the court for 25 minutes tonight in a blowout he would have a great chance to provide close to 30 fantasy points for a near minimum salary. The Suns rank 29th against starting centers and may be without Tyson Chandler tonight.
