Top NBA Plays 2/16|It Only Takes One
Last night a DraftKings user by the ID of Jesuslean took down $100k with a single lineup. He or she targeted the absence of Embiid (Ben Simmons, Dwight Howard), a bad Washington defense (John Wall, David Nwaba), and the highest scoring betting total of the night in Brooklyn at Sacramento (Hassan Whiteside, James Harden).
Sometimes it really does seem too easy, but just like Jesuslean can win with one lineup, he can also get destroyed by one player such as Harrison Barnes having 11fp in that huge game vs. the Nets. It's what we love, and it's what we hate so let's see what's up with tonight's 6-gamer before COVID steals anymore tilts.
Today's NBA Matchups
Nuggets @ Celtics (-2) , O/U 220.5, 7:00 PM ET
Denver makes what seems like a rare trip out East riding a three game win streak (all at home). Boston just lost to the Pistons and Wizards in back-to-back games but looks like big winners here with all the Nuggets absences.
Pelicans @ Grizzlies (PK), O/U 231.5, 7:30 PM ET
Looks like a good target game with that betting total, on one side at least as the Grizzlies are just too balanced with 7 guys averaging at least 10 points. The Pelicans are 28th vs. PGs the last 5 games but Memphis is 28th vs. the PF spot over that span too.
Raptors @ Bucks (-5.5), O/U 236, 800 PM ET
Another projected high scoring game. The Raptors have allowed 115+ in three straight including the Wizards and Timberwolves while Milwaukee just ended a 6-game road swing, and has put up 129+ in their last three home games.
Lineup Notes: Jrue Holiday remains out for Milwaukee
Lakers (-6.5) @ Timberwolves, O/U 223, 8:00 PM ET
🕯️Blowout Game🕯️ for the Lakers? The spread would say otherwise as public bettors are going to be hammering L.A. at that line meaning Minnesota might come out strong. Anthony Davis is going to be on the shelf for a while after scoring 15 points in 14 minutes Sunday vs. Denver.
Trail Blazers (-5) @ Thunder, O/U 225, 8:00 PM ET
Portland is clicking nicely right now, winning four straight and scoring 118+ the last three. OKC is no easy out though, going to OT twice at the Lakers, losing to Denver by 2, and beating Milwaukee over their last four games.
Nets @ Suns (-5.5), O/U 231, 10:00 PM ET
Phoenix seems like a lofty favorite here, but Brooklyn is on the back-to-back after a fast paced 136-125 win at Sacramento last night. The Suns have rattled off six straight though, all at home.
Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables
Devin Booker DK $8.3k | FD $8.3k
vs. Brooklyn
Any chance ownership drops here for Booker? Brooklyn is actually kind of decent vs. the SG spot lately, but they've played the likes of Cory Joseph, Wayne Ellington, Seth Curry, and Jeremy Lamb - good but not great. The Nets are on the back-to-back and the 22 real points given up to Joseph last night is a season high. That means Booker, who has hit 27+ real points in four straight, is a must play.
Donte DiVincenzo DK $5.4k | FD $5.1k
vs. Toronto
I think you have to sprinkle some shares here at that price, vs. that Toronto defense (113+ in six straight), with two top 15 pace teams and for a guy who has hit 30+ fp in three of the last six. That is all.
Grayson Allen DK $4.7k | FD $4.9k
vs. New Orleans
This one feels icky to play, but Grayson Allen has been in the perfect lineup in each of his last two home games not to mention with 23 real points at the Lakers last Friday. With Bane and Melton still out in the Memphis backcourt and the Pelicans ranking 26th vs. the SG this is a spot.
Facundo Campazzo DK $3.3k | FD $3.5k
@ Boston
There are a couple of reasons to like Campazzo tonight, the first is that I think Denver gets dominated coming off the Lakers win and besides a game in Miami they haven't played on the East Coast since a January 12th loss in Brooklyn. The Nuggets are also pretty banged up with Monte questionable and Will Barton, Gary Harris, and PJ Dozier out.
You gotta preserve Jamal Murray for Washington tomorrow night and at Cleveland Friday night. Not to mention @ Atlanta on Sunday so this is the 'give up' game for Denver.
Tonight's SF / PF Notables
Giannis Antetokounmpo DK $11k | FD $11.2k
vs. Toronto
We'll have to find value elsewhere spending up here, but 6X seems like the floor here for Giannis. He's got a 24+ point double-double in three straight and added 10 assists on Sunday vs. OKC. Milwaukee is also back home for the first time since the first couple of days of February, facing a Raptors team that has allowed 115+ in 5 of the last 6.
Norman Powell DK $6.8k | FD $6.5k
@ Milwaukee
I'll bite on some Norm 🍺, who could really go into a glorified h-o-r-s-e game vs. Khris Middleton. Powell loves the matchup, hitting 8-13 including 5-7 from the field at the end of January vs. the Bucks. He also had 21 points and 8 boards vs. Milwaukee last August to average 42.88 fp vs. the Raptors the last two games - and that was when Toronto had a good (ish) defense.
Kyle Anderson DK $6.4k | FD $6.5k
vs. New Orleans
Does Kyle Anderson have the best value on a New Orleans @ Memphis tilt with a betting total at 231.5. The short answer is yes, as he's posted a couple 20+ real point games over the last 10 days and the Pelicans rank 26th defensively vs. the SF spot. Anderson had 21/4/4 at New Orleans on February 6th.
Carmelo Anthony DK $5.4k | FD $5.3k
@ Oklahoma City
Carmelo might as well pay rent in this spot because he's going to be a play until he goes above $6k. Yes, he had a disappointing 25 fp on Sunday, but he still shot 17 times and perhaps more importantly played 31 minutes. Melo has hit 20+ real points in 5 of the last 7, and also had 22 points and 6 boards vs. OKC at the end of January.
Tonight's Center Position Notables
Karl-Anthony Towns DK $9.3k | FD $9.5k
vs. Lakers
Jokic is on this slate but plays Boston so we can save $1k with arguably a better matchup with Towns. There's no Anthony Davis for the Lakers, who have allowed 23/16/10 to Jokic on Sunday, and 22/8/5 to Valanciunas, and 25/8/8 to Al Horford in the two games prior.
Deandre Ayton DK $7.1k | FD $7k
vs. Brooklyn
R Kelly could change a lot of things in his life, but one of them would be to change some of his lyrics to "I don't see nothing wrong, with a little Phoenix stack." Brooklyn is on the back to back after allowing 26 & 16 to the ghost of Hassan Whiteside last night...in 24 minutes off the bench! It doesn't matter what Ayton did, is doing, or will do, that's a matchup you take.

🔥 SuperDraft Multiplier Must-Play
Today's SuperDraft multiplier must-play is Devin Booker at 1.45X. That's a crazy multiplier for Booker, who has gone for 27+ real points in four straight and plays a bad Nets defense that is also on the back-to-back.
