Top NBA Plays 2/17|🐐Goat Day 🐐
Today is somewhat of a holiday for NBA fans as it's the great one's birthday and I don't mean Marcin Gortat. Happy 58th to Mike Jeff Jordan, and we've got plenty to celebrate with a 10-game slate. COVID is starting to rear it's ugly head again, but we're being flexible so let's see what we can get here:
Today's NBA Matchups
Knicks (-4.5) @ Magic , O/U 209.5, 7:00 PM ET
Welcome to Julius Randle chase night, as the Knicks PF went for 65fp on Monday. Orlando is basically a non-play here after scoring 90 points vs. the Suns on Sunday and against New York's #3 defense.
Hawks @ Celtics (-3), O/U 224, 7:30 PM ET
As expected Boston put it on Denver last night, winning 112-99 as the Nuggets made their first trip East in awhile. Of course, that puts the C's on the back-to-back tonight, but against a Hawks defense that has allowed 118+ in five straight.
Lineup Notes: Kemba Walker is out for rest.
Rockets @ Sixers (-10.5), O/U 226.5, 7:30 PM ET
This looks like a possible blowout spot as something has happened to the Rockets, losers of 6 straight and allowing 120+ to the Knicks and Wizards the last two games. Joel Embiid missed Monday's game, but the Rockets are very banged up.
Pacers (-6) @ Timberwolves, O/U 225, 8:00 PM ET
Minnesota hung tough in a 112-104 loss to the Lakers last night, but that kind of kills them for the back-to-back against the Pacers. KAT played 32 minutes in the loss, battling to just 15 points so his usage may be a bit limited tonight after having COVID a short time ago.
Nuggets (-3.5) @ Wizards, O/U 233, 8:00 PM ET
Denver visits the East Coast for the first time in a month, and right away the schedule makers throw a b2b at them after last night's loss to the Celtics. Jokic was great with 43 real points last night, but he also logged 38 real minutes. The big man sitting likely isn't an option though, as the Nugs are a bit shorthanded right now.
Pistons @ Bulls (-2.5), O/U 220.5, 8:00 PM ET
We've got a free game here as the Bulls were originally scheduled to face the Hornets, who have some COVID concerns. Enter the Pistons, who to be honest have been playing kind of good with wins in 3 of the last 4. That includes a win in Boston on the back-to-back last Friday, but it was also just the 2nd road win of the season for the Pistons.
Lineup Notes: Blake Griffin is out (rest).
Thunder @ Grizzlies (-7), O/U 224, 9:00 PM ET
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been upgraded to questionable for OKC, and he might want to get into the lineup against a Grizzlies defense that allowed 144 to New Orleans last night. Josh Hart showed up a couple of days after Valentine's Day to register a +30 for the Pelicans...off the bench!
Trail Blazers @ Pelicans (-3), O/U 236.5, 9:00 PM ET
New Orleans is in one of those 'back to backs in name only' spots as last night's 144-113 win over Memphis required the same energy as a shootaround. That's a wash though since Portland is also on the b2b after a 115-104 win over OKC last night in which three starters logged 36+ minutes.
Heat @ Warriors (-1), O/U 226, 10:00 PM ET
Miami is in the midst of a 7-game West Coast road trip and things could get a little hairy. The Heat have lost to the Jazz and Clippers the last two games, and also face Sacramento tomorrow night. GSW breezed to a 31-point win over Cleveland on Monday and should be very fresh.
Jazz (-5) @ Clippers, O/U 226, 10:00 PM ET
The Utah offense is on a run, putting up 120+ in 3 of the last 4. They'll face a tough test at the Clippers though, as LAC is 10-4 at home and has won four straight overall. Game of the night except that Kawhi Leonard is a GTD (leg).
Tonight's Point Guard / Shooting Guard Notables
Stephen Curry DK $10.5k | FD $10k
vs. Miami
The Warriors are just 1-point favorites tonight vs. Miami, but I like them big over the Heat. Miami is playing their fourth straight West Coast road game, and also have to preserve a little bit for Sacramento tomorrow night. That should lead to a big game for Steph Curry, who had 36 even in a blowout over Cleveland on Monday and posted 40 real points two games before that.
Jordan Clarkson DK $6.5k | FD $5.9k
@ Clippers
You gotta think Jordan Clarkson comes out launching tonight, on the heat check so to speak after hitting 8 of 13 threes Monday en route to 40 real points off the bench vs. Philly. Clarkson has now gone for 25+ real points in two of the last three and plays a Clippers team that has pushed the pace with 125+ in three straight.
Delon Wright DK $6k | FD $7k
@Chicago
Could we see a rec league type game since Detroit and Chicago just found out they'd be playing each other yesterday after the Bulls' game with Charlotte was canceled? If so, it's a great spot for Delon Wright who has hit 6X this DK price in 4 of the last 5. The Pistons have had 2 nights off, and the Bulls just allowed 23 points and 15 boards to Malcolm Brogdon at the PG spot on Monday.
Kevin Huerter DK $5.9k | FD $5.3k
@ Boston
I don't think he's Irish, but Kevin Huerter does have red hair and for some reason, he loves playing the Celtics. Huerter had 25, 23, and 17 real points in three games vs. Boston last season, and the C's are on the back-to-back tonight playing without Kemba Walker and Marcus Smart to defend guards.
Tonight's SF / PF Notables
Jayson Tatum DK $8.7k | FD $9.4k
vs. Atlanta
Boston is on the back-to-back and Jayson Tatum played 32 minutes in the win over Denver. He's still a must-play though against an Atlanta defense that has allowed 120+ in four of the last five. That's especially true with Kemba Walker resting, which gives Tatum a 5% usage boost and 18.97 more fantasy points.
Zion Williamson DK $8.2k | FD $8.3k
vs. Portland
The kid just gets his, night in and night out. Zion Williamson has a floor of 34 since January 4th, hitting 6X tonight's price in 2 of the last 3. The Pels are on the b2b which should reduce ownership a bit, but Williamson had 31/7/6 in just 28 minutes last night in a blowout over Memphis. Plus, Portland is on the b2b as well.
Marcus Morris DK $5.7k | FD $5.3k
vs. Utah
The production could dip a bit for Marcus Morris if Kawhi returns, but at the same time Nic Batum is out for concussion protocol. Plus Paul George is still out, and there's a chance Leonard doesn't return until Friday's rematch with Utah. Morris has been great, with 20+ real points in three straight while also not playing more than 26 minutes.
Saddiq Bey DK $5.5k | FD $5.8k
@ Chicago
A Detroit stack sounds horrible on paper, but the Pistons have scored 120+ in 3 of the last 5 kind of under-the-radar. They get the Bulls tonight, who have the great combo of ranking 20th in defensive efficiency and also 3rd in pace. The Pistons are without Blake Griffin (rest) and Sekou Doumbouye (concussion) in the front court so keep bring the minutes for Saddiq Bey, who had 30 and 12 against Boston on Friday.
Tonight's Center Position Notables
Bam Adebayo DK $8.6k | FD $9.1k
@ Golden State
The Warriors are using a 'point center' right now in Draymond Green, and although he's dishing out assists at a Scott Skiles-like rate, the defense in the post is suffering. Jarrett Allen just had 13 points and 14 boards vs. GSW on Monday and Nikola Vucevic had 25 & 13 last Thursday. This looks like a great spot for Bam Adebayo, who has three straight double-doubles including 27 & 12 vs. the Clippers on Monday.
Myles Turner DK $6.3k | FD $7k
@ Minnesota
People have questioned the defense of Karl-Anthony Towns, but Minnesota has actually been fairly decent vs. bigs since KAT returned. That could change tonight though, as the T'Wolves are on the back to back after a surprisingly tough 8-point loss to the Lakers and Towns could be limited. It's a great spot for Myles Turner, who has hit 36+ fp the last two.

🔥 SuperDraft Multiplier Must-Play
Today's SuperDraft multiplier must-play is Bam Adebayo at 1.15X. Golden State's small ball lineup is leaving them very vulnerable defensively vs. the C spot. That's good news for Adebayo, who had 27 & 12 on Monday vs. the Clippers.
