Top NBA Plays 2/20 | Back to Work for the Home Stretch

It was a nice little layoff for the all-star break but it's also been a long week with no NBA DFS. That changes tonight with a 6-game slate to break back into the action. There are only 56 days left in the regular season, so let's make the most out of each and every one of them.

Tonight's DFS Headlines

Bucks @ Pistons

Even with a long layoff, oddsmakers aren't expecting Detroit to put up much of a fight tonight as 13 point home underdogs. A rested Bucks team is a scary Bucks team.

Heat @ Hawks

Miami has the (controversial) slam dunk champion in Derrick Jones, Jr. and the Skills Competition winner in Bam Adebayo but also just a 13-16 road record on the season. Atlanta is just a game above Cleveland for worst record in the East though.

Nets @ 76ers

This should be a nice back and forth game, as these two teams had won a combined 5 games prior to the all-star break. The Nets will be without Kyrie Irving (shoulder) for what looks like an extended period of time.

Hornets @ Bulls

This would be a great game to attack 'bigs' as Chicago is 28th dVp against the C and 29th vs. the PF and the Hornets have also struggled vs. the front court this season. There isn't a whole lot of offense from opposing post players here though and the total is just 210.

Grizzlies @ Kings

Expect a good night from Kings players, as this game looks like a trap with Sacramento being -1 favorite, albeit at home. Memphis is 8-2 over their last 10 and Sacramento allowed 123 and 130 points in two losses prior to the break. The public bettors will be hammering the Grizzlies here.

Rockets @ Warriors

Houston has gone to the small ball lineup and there's perhaps no better team to match up with than the undersized Golden State Warriors. Russell Westbrook (36) and James Harden (42) combined for 78 points vs. Boston prior to the all-star break.

Guards

Buddy Hield DK $6.6k | FD $5.7k

Great value on Buddy Hield on FD at under $6k tonight. He's fresh off a win in the Three Point contest and Sacramento is a strange 1 point favorite vs. Memphis, which should mean trap game. The Grizzlies do rank 28th defensively vs. the SG position and Sacramento gets a slight pace boost in a game with a betting total of 228. Hield has taken double digit three point attempts in 7 of the last 9 and that should continue as he tries to show off his long distance crown.

Hield had 42+ fp the last time he faced the Grizzlies.

Derrick Rose DK $5.9k | FD $5.5k

Detroit gets a huge pace boost tonight vs. Milwaukee (+10.22 possessions) and Derrick Rose should be healthy after resting his knee/groin over the all-star break. There's no more Reggie Jackson for Detroit. He's waived and off to the Clippers, which gives Rose even more opportunity to perform tonight.

Rose gets a nice production boost without Jackson, Kennard, Griffin, etc.

Jordan Poole DK $4k | FD $4.4k

Houston has cleared out the middle of the floor by going small, creating space for Harden and Westbrook. Of course that also allows less congestion for the opposition as well. The Rockets are 20th defensively vs. the PG position and Golden State's Jordan Poole has seen a nice uptick since D'Angelo Russell was traded to Minnesota. Poole played 30+ minutes in each of the last two games before the break and has taken at least 11 shots in four straight. The betting total is 232.5 in this one, so there will be some points scored.

Forwards

Jae Crowder DK $5k | FD $4.5k

Jae Crowder has played three games with the Heat, looking good against poor defenses in Golden State and Portland but struggling a bit last Wednesday vs. Utah's #10 unit. Crowder is back to an advantageous spot tonight vs. Atlanta. You roster wing players vs. the Hawks, as they are 30th defensively vs. the SF position. Crowder averaged 19.5 and 9.5 rebounds his first two games with Miami and is up against Atlanta's 3rd worst rebounding team tonight.

Crowder is project for a 6X night which would almost seem low vs. Atlanta's defense.

Miles Bridges DK $6k | FD $5.8k

Time for an upside game for Miles Bridges as he faces Chicago's #29 dVp against the PF spot and 22nd vs. the SF. The Bulls are thin pretty much everywhere because of injuries and that includes up front where Wendell Carter, Jr. and Lauri Markkanen have missed significant time. As a result, the Bulls rank 27th in rebounding, which bodes well for Bridges who had a 15 rebound night two weeks ago vs. Houston. Fresh off winning MVP honors in the Rising Stars Challenge (at the United Center), Bridges has shot 15+ times in 7 straight games, which should continue tonight.

Tobias Harris DK $6.4k | FD $6.2k

There are a lot of mouths to feed in the Philadelphia lineup. That, combined with the fact that Brooklyn is a top 10 team defensively vs. the SF position, should keep ownership down on Tobias Harris tonight. The truth is, the Nets have been getting lit up by the SF/ PF spot lately, allowing at least 34 fp in 4 of the last 5 games. Harris posts nice peripherals with 4+ assists in four straight, 6+ rebounds in 3 of 4, and two 21+ point games over that span.

Front court players have had success vs. Brooklyn as of late.

Center

Bam Adebayo DK $7.8k | FD $8.5k

Nice DK pricing on Bam Adebayo tonight considering he had a 30/11/11 line vs. Atlanta back in December. Adebayo is riding high after a skills challenge win over the all-star break and has 11+ rebounds in 4 of his last 5 games. The Hawks are 29th defensively vs. the PF spot and 24th vs. the C.

People are backing off Adebayo a bit tonight.
