Guards
D'Angelo Russell, BKN [@CHA] (DK: $5.6k, FD: $6.1k)
The Nets are seeing Russell return to his previous form, and the All-Star break was a great opportunity to pull everything together. He should be making his way back into the starting lineup soon, but likely not tonight. He's slowly worked his way back from a knee procedure, but has seen 25+ minutes in each of the last 3 games now. He should have a good chance to see 30+ minutes tonight after getting an extended rest from the All-Star break.
Austin Rivers, LAC [@GS] (DK: $5.1k, FD: $5.1k)
This game is slated with the most total points at 233 total points and a large 11 point spread in favor of the Warriors. If the Clippers can somehow keep this game close enough for most of the game then Austin Rivers can enjoy a matchup against Curry and the Warriors who rank 28th against starting point guards allowing 39 fantasy points a game. Rivers has played 32+ minutes in each of the 4 games after returning from injury and should be all set to go after the extended All-Star break.
Emmanuel Mudiay, NY [@ORL] (DK: $4.4k, FD: $4.6k)
Mudiay is looking to take the start tonight following the All-Star break, and he's vowed that he won't take it for granted. His salary is cheap enough, and if he's going to be seeing true starters minutes then he has a good chance to shine on this team that is without Porzingis, their largest star and usage machine. He's played well against Orlando in the past and will be looking to show his team he can handle this role.
Forwards
LeBron James, CLE [vs WAS] (DK: $11.8k, FD: $11.6k)
Because of the All-Star break it seems like ancient history since the big trades happened, but it's really only been 3 games for the Cavs. The King is setup to continue dominating the first unit usage with Isaiah Thomas gone. This game has a very large 222 point total with a close 5.5 point spread in favor of the Cavs. Look for LeBron to continue his mission to be the new Westbrook.
Dario Saric, PHI [@CHI] (DK: $6.5k, FD: $6.7k)
Saric has 2 games with over 40 fantasy points against the Bulls this season, though one of them was without Embiid. The Bulls are shaking up their starting lineup would could mean some extra holes in the defense while the team builds some synchronicity between the starters. This game has a fairly large 214 total points with a 6.5 point spread in favor of the 76ers. The Bulls are ranked 23rd against starting power forwards, but with the new starters we're going to have to look how they work together moving forward.
Robert Covington, PHI [@CHI] (DK: $5k, FD: $5.4k)
Hopefully the 76ers took some time during the All-Star break, and evaluated why they gave Robert Covington a 4-year $62 million contract in November if he's going to be playing this poorly. This is surely a tournament only play, as he's been terrible, but who knows maybe someone was able to wake Covington from his slumber over this break. The Bulls are ranked 27th against starting small forwards and he's had a good history against the Bulls.
Centers
Dwight Howard, CHA [vs BKN] (DK: $8.4k, FD: $9k)
Howard was slumping a bit before the All-Star break, but did bounce back a bit. The extended rest likely helped a veteran like Howard regain his legs and help clear his mind to get him through this second half of the season. Look for Howard to come out strong following the break against the Nets who are ranked dead last against starting centers allowing 44 fantasy points a game.
Nikola Vucevic, ORL [vs NY] (DK: $7.2k, FD: $7.9k)
Vucevic is looking to make his return tonight after an extended absence after fracturing his hand on Dec 23rd. He's been doing on-court work since late January which means he likely won't be under a heavy minutes restrictions. With it being only a hand injury as well, means he's been able to heavily exercise and stay in shape more easily. Vucevic was looking like a complete monster before getting injured, so why not take a chance on him in his first game back where he's likely to be lower owned. NOTE: It's reported he'll be on a minutes restriction.
Cristiano Felicio, CHI [vs PHI] (DK: $3k, FD: $3.5k)
The Bulls are changing up their starting lineup, and looks like Robin Lopez may be falling completely out of the rotation moving forward. The Bulls are looking to see what their young guys can do moving forward for the rest of the season, so Felicio will be seeing his first start tonight. It's not an ideal matchup versus the 76ers who are ranked 1st against starting centers but at a bare minimum salary and getting the start, it's going to be hard to ignore him tonight.
